  1. Three letters - EMP.

Then they could just wait offshore until we were done tearing ourselves apart fighting for food, water, electricity, medicine. 3 months later they could stroll in from anywhere they pleased and meet token resistance at best. Those of us most likely to be the ones "behind every blade of grass" and resist an invasion would be dead from the fight to survive while fending off others trying to do the same. Those fighters remaining would be weak, sick, and short on any ammo, weapons, and supplies that was stockpiled.

Over half of the sheeple would be dead and the rest starving. All the infrastructure would still be standing for their exploitation. No fallout. Roads and buildings still intact for the most part and manufacturing facilities, utilities, etc would take minor repairs to get back up and running.

The worst part, the part that really makes me sick.... After 3 months of starvation most remaining Americans would welcome an invading army if they brought food, MTV and Facebook back.

Sadly - this is true. Scary. Probably the only legitimate fear I have (except for a financial break down).

  2. Well honestly I'm not scared to go into a gay bar. I just prefer to be in a regular establishment.

    My game plan is

    1.check in

    2. Wedding

    3. Reception

    4. Stone pony

    5. Back to hotel

    6. Sleep

Next day cruise around and check up the town a little and then go home. If there is a shopping area I'm sure my wife will find that. Maybe ill bring a fishing pole.

If you want to take your wife to a nice place to shop- go up to Long Branch (10 mins away) and park/shop in Pier village- its all outdoor shops on the beach.. my wife loves it there. http://www.piervillage.com/

  3. Where does the data end up going anyways?? And for how long? Its on thing when its a police car scanner on the side of road that I have to accept, now we are going to put in stationary plate scanners to just monitor every car that goes by? Time to get that license plate photomask blocker... Not like I have anything to hide, but why does big brother need to track me everywhere I go???

  4. Well, I am out of NJ and officially living in South Florida.

I have met some great people on the forum and some good friends.

    I will miss you all.

I will not miss the gun laws and politics in NJ.

I wish all of you the best in NJ. I will check in from time to time, but I am officially done with Jersey except for family and friends still there.

Can't say I miss it otherwise!!

Hey Mike! hope you enjoy living in Real America! :) Take care bud!

  5. How about your lawyer, or accountant?

    How about your insurance adviser?

    Never needed a lawyer.

Accountant is voluntary - he helps me save money

Insurance adviser? Its all online and they just get what they need and insure me. They don't ask me how fast I drive - or where I work of what I do for a living - or if I like steak or am vegan.

sorry - for a doctor, it's none of there business and I don't see how that question will affect my child from a cold or healing from a sickness.

  6. Let me ask you this.  Actually, lets assume that my son, who is 16, is your kid.  He shoots USPSA and Speed on Steel.  As you know, these events are done in the open under the hot sun (sun exposure and hydration issues) and subject to loud noises (ear protection) and flying objects (eye protection).  So, you are at the Ped's office for the annual well visit and the Dr. notices his (and your) farmer tans..."I see you guys get some sun...remember to use sunscreen, ok."  What do you do that you are out in the sun?

Do you let him respond?  Do you respond?  To do so will introduce the gun topic?

I'll pose a better one.  My 16 y/o son and your 16 y/o son are going to get together to play some video games at your house, but before I agree, I ask (we do this) whether or not there are dogs in the house, and I ask if there are guns in the house.

Do you disclose your firearm ownership, or respond that it is none of my business?

IF your child is spending time with my child at my house, you can ask and I will gladly tell you there are firearms but they are secured in a safe that's bolted down and I only know the combination. I'd expect the same vice versa.

But when doctors and other people who have no direct relation to my family except for a paid service start asking and documenting regarding my doings/belongings etc, I feel that is ebbing on invasion of privacy. No one has to know I own firearms (well except NJ and who knows where that information goes).

  7. 2012 hyundai sonata 2.0T

I've got a '11 Sonata SE (Non-turbo)....  I sometimes wish I dished out a little extra for that turbo.

Well I complete the bunch.. I own a 12' Sonata Hybrid.. I was commuting 130 miles a day but now with my promotion, won't be commuting much, so now just own a real fuel efficient vehicle that badly needs rims, some tint and a speaker system (stock speakers must have been made from printer quality paper). Other than that, 210hp with the electric motor providing immediate torque and 34mpg is really not bad! 500 miles a tank :)
