  1. Just because your card doesn't have the now out-of-date wording doesn't mean you can't exercise your rights as they are written into the current edition of the Statutes. In short, I'd be doing over a thousand years in the pokey by now for doing what you're afraid to. Stay off of school grounds and other traps and yer O-K! So don't worry!

    Dave

So I can keep a SG in my trunk and not worry you're telling me?

  2. For the nit-pickers out there: The NJFID is so I can drive around with my long guns WHILE I do errands, instead of having to drive directly to and from the range. O-K?

My card is 30 years old, so it still says, "Permission is hereby granted to carry rifles and shotguns blah, blah, blah". Besides, in the People's Republic you need your FID just to buy pistol caliber ammo even if you never bought a pistol!

Mine does not say that... makes me a little more weary about driving around with a longarm.

  3. Hey now Ryan...

I have blackberry phones now. =P Z10 for the win.

Not to hijack the thread, but how is the Z10? I have a personal iphone and a work phone thats a piece of cr@p droid.. my boss told me I can replace the droid with another phone, so thinking Z10... (since I've had multiple blackberries in the past).

  4. This is a great thread. I need to start working on this because my stay in plan won't work out if I'm 60 miles away from my house at my office.

And like everyone said the scary part will be if I'm walking home 60 miles, then I'm sure thousands of others will be too so I need to plan accordingly but also be prepared to defend if sh*t gets hairy...

    Good lists above though.

So do you guys keep these items in your car or at the office/ desk where you work?

good for you. What has proven to be the most effective way to get people into a church? Have church members invite a friend. It seems that that probably applies here too.

I think it was a combination of showing him the firearms I own a showing him out it works, and sending him pro 2a articles/arguments and then discussing real world related issues casually in conversation and having him realize how he would not want to be in the situation unarmed if it was him. I also had him poke around and he found out more people than he realized own guns, even his father! Lol

  6. Repeat after me: "I will not be ashamed. I will be proud to exercise all of my rights. It's not dirty. It's not bad. I will not be ashamed any more!"

If you aren't afraid to share your hobby with others. If you act like it's normal and safe, and responsible to own guns, the people you know who respect you might just start to believe it is normal, safe, and responsible - because it is normal, safe, and responsible.

This year, if you take two friends shooting who have never done it before - you might make a supporter out of enough people to turn the tide. If we hide like it's a dirty secret, we'll succeed in convincing everyone else that it is.

This! I just got my neighbor to apply for his FID and he will be purchasing his first firearm after he receives his FID. Looking to convert at least one if not two more people.. took a year though to get him over, especially with the damn media killing the progun mood.

  7. strong message that no one really likes him except the woman and tree huggers that voted for him.

YEP! exactly.. I enjoyed seeing him whining on tv and biden weeping.. kind of felt like we were getting him back for taking the election from Romney.
