Oh wow.. RIP Tiny. Always a good guy to me

+1 what he saidIf we ignore the fact that it is illegal to stop citizens and demand to see their papers without reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed, this is still wrong. It's wrong because the police were not there to protect us from drunk drivers as they pretended to be. They never asked if he was drinking nor did they have any reason to suspect he was. He was pulled out of his car, detained, and illegally searched because the officer didn't like being told no. This is an officer that is confused and forgets that he is supposed to enforce the law and believes that he is the law. The best part is that he even admitted to the other officer that he knew the kid was only exercising his rights while detaining him illegally and searching his car illegally.
There have been a few topics here where there was cop bashing. This is not one of them. This cop is bad. That does not mean that his eagerness to violate someones civil rights to prove a point is the norm among police officers. I'm shocked that every police officer on this forum isn't screaming for this officer's dismissal - especially considering how pro 2A this group is, I would have thought we were all pretty Pro 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10 too. This bad cop is the one that gives the rest a bad name.

Definitely beautiful work. But I would only have that done to one of my guns if I ran out of project to do and money wasn't an issue. Little too busy for my taste

My vote would definitely go to the p220. I own a p220 stainless carry and it quickly became one of my favorites. Smoothest shooting .45 I own. Fits absolutely perfect in my hand. All I see and feel is quality when I'm holding that firearm. Jmo

Haha he called that man "Diesel" with a straight face -
How bout adding a Pitbull to the family? They WILL protect their family without hesitation

+ 1 Andy is an excellent Smith. He'd be able to install that with no problem. It is a fairly easy job to handle yourself though, but if your not comfortable with working on your own gun, Andy is an excellent choice. Good guy tooAsk Andy at Shore Shot.

Guess your one of the lucky ones! Stay blessed and enjoy your collection

I completely agree with thisI will keep renewing my NRA membership but any other monies i have to donate will be staying right here at home..

Sounds like a problem to me if it needs to be brought up in front of a judge. Good luck to you. Hope your able to get it straightened out.

Good choice. M&p9 was my first too. Still one of my favorites. Keep her happy with some good ammo and regular maintenance and she'll always treat you right

Great choice for your 1st 1911! Kimber makes an excellent gun. As far as magazines, I run Tripp magazines through mine and couldn't be happier. They've been flawless everytime and are top notch quality.

Thanks for the info and feedback guys. I do appreciate it. It's just another example of how confusing, frustrating and unfair the laws in NJ are.

My personal choice would probably be the m&p 9 as my combat sidearm but I would feel confident enough with any one of those choices. Jmo

So it would behoove me to just have it sent to my LGS and stay on the safe side? Has anyone else ordered a complete upper and run into this dilemma? The law says "in the possession or under the control of the same person".

Extremely interesting. So, as long as all of the "evil" parts are not in the same dwellings, I'd still be on the right side of the law?

Thank you sir! I'll absolutely keep you in mind. Right now I'm trying my hand in my first AR build. So far, I have everything I need to build a complete lower. Now working on getting an upper (most likely an complete upper).Your Welcome!
if you looking for a rifle - call me.
i have several in stock, and a few on the way in

^ This is greatThere was an old man that lived down the road from us when I grew up. I enlisted in the military on the day after 9-11 and when i got back from MEPS he came over for a visit. He said there are 2 rifles in the trunk of my car that i brought home from Bastogne, will you clean them for me? So I open the trunk of his car to see 2 k98`s in the original box he shipped them home in, the box was labeled pool ques. He handed me one of them and said "I have wanted to give these to you for a while, but wasnt sure if you would understand. You joined the military in a time of war and now you are a man in my eyes..... you`re ready for them now. Please take good care of them for me." He then got in his car and drove away. Phil unfortunately passed away a few months ago and I will cherish the rifles for the rest of my life.

Thanks JT! After I posted this thread I started thinking the same about the upper NOT being considered the rifle. But I wasn't sure how the law would interpret that. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm in Monmouth county. I missed my opportunity today as the upper was on gunbroker and the auction ended. Oh well, now I know. Thanks againThere are several ways to go about it but in general the Flash Hider
is Illegal only when mounted on a Semi Auto Rifle.
The Upper assy is not considered a Rifle so you are not in violation of any
laws in New Jersey. However, if you were to mount that upper on a lower, then
you would be in violation of the law.
As long as the shipper has no problems with it - have them ship the upper to
you directly, then remove the FH and get yourself a good quality Muzzle Break.
(Ebay, JSE Surplus, ect.).
Take the upper & your break to your dealer, gunsmith, ect. and have it pined
and then you can mount it with no worries.
Not sure where you are located; but we pin barrels - so if your anywhere near lacey Twp
you can give me a call and we can get you set-up.
Good Luck!
JT

I was online researching complete upper receivers and bumped into one that I really liked and was about to order. Then I realized it had a flash hider on it. My question is, how do you go about ordering something like that? Do you order it, then take it to your LGS and have them swap out the flash hider for a muzzle break, OR do you order it and have it shipped directly to your LGS so they can make the swap before your ever in possession of it?

No problem. It's a good day for some outside range time. How is that range? I've driven by several times but have never been.

Try 228 birdsall rd? If not that, it's very close to there.
