  1. I'd like to take a moment to thank you ALL for your efforts on trying to preserve what's left of our 2nd amendment right here in Jersey. All efforts count. JMO, I think if we keep our emotions in check, continue to educate those ignorant to firearms and the culture, and continue to bombard the politicians and all media with statistics and historical facts, we will prevail. Again... THANK YOU ALL

  2. Not only seen them but have one sitting under the xmas tree which I get to open tonight. Real sweet rifle. Easy to put together and take apart and keeps its zero. I choose this over an AR15 because it will serve 90% of my needs and I figure with so many guys with AR's that have never trained for combat or fired a shot in anger, it would be a simple task for an old combat vet like me to get one of theirs using my .22. :)

Congrats on your great gift! Enjoy. I'm jealous lol

  3. Just as a FWIW...

My buddy is down in Delaware visiting family. He went to 3 shops. The AR's are gone. He found one that isn't NJ compliant. And one other for 3k. That's it. At one of the stores, they were essentially out of handguns.

    Craziness.

    C

Your right. Absolute craziness. I wonder, if it wasn't for the one-gun-month law, would all of the handguns be gone too?

  4. Hello all. My question is... How are the gun stores in nj holding up supplies wise? What's being bought up? Are ar-15s and other semi-auto rifles (and their corresponding ammo) and 15 round mags the main focus of buyers right now, or are people buying up ALL semi auto weapons and ammo? Are handguns and popular handgun ammo flying off the shelves too?

  5. You have to remember, most legislators are frankly not that bright. They have no capacity to respond to a well-reasoned argument. When I write to them, I try to keep it short and to the point, especially since someone else will be screening their mail. And I always formally ask for a response. In you case, I would put something like:

    Dear (Legislator)

I wanted to relate to you an incident that occurred today in your district. I, a law-abiding, gun-owning citizen, was held up at gunpoint. Since I am deprived of my constitutional right to defend myself, I found myself helpless and at the mercy of a criminal. The situation ended relatively well this time - I escaped with my life. People often tout the ready availabiliy of law enforcement personnel as a reason to deprive our citizens of their second amendment rights, but none came to my aid in a timely fashion. The criminal remains at large. Emboldened by his success in robbing me, I would image he has no good reason to alter his behavior. Perhaps his next victim will be killed.

How are you going to help me to change the law so that I do not have to remain a victim? I respectfully await your response.

    Sincerely,

    very well said
