  1. Case number is only needed for Identigo so your fingerprints will have a number which PD can recognize...When I started my PD gave me a packet of instructions and a case number...But ever PD tweaks a little.
  2. How do you possibly come to the conclusion that they are focusing only/mostly on Ocean/Monmouth car-carry issue? Just because they didn't respond to you? I got a response but I was assuming I would not, I guess Dan had a moment to spare and did so...Their charter is to cover the entire state, they have an entire team of Lawyers. They probably are getting a lot of complaints too...Why don't you e-mail them again. PS: If you are an ANJRPC member you can call Napin's office for free, tell the your situation and ask them what they recommend. David might be the Lawyer who gets back to you (I think that was his name when I spoke to him some months ago), he is a good guy...If you are not an ANJRPC member, well shame, shame, go sign up $40. ;-)
  3. Did you report this to the ANJRPC-Strikforce? They are asking for us to do so so they know where to focus their efforts.
  4. I kinda agree with that, because if they were sincere they would have already made the call.
  5. Someday there will be a "Sticky" thread, but given how dynamic the situation is at the moment that is probably a while from now.
  6. You have to keep up with this one...This is a change in NJ from the dogma's which have existed for over 100 years. It is natural that there is a lot of opinion and speculation given what we are experiencing with the permit-process. Granted, if you are just jumping in you have some catching up to do. In July folks started submitting their applications, fast forward, now we the actual permits (some with some without restrictions) are just starting to trickle out, so naturally for those of us who started in July, we are interested in this phase at the moment most. Overall, this thread has been very useful and consistent with the intention in the thread title (obviously some exceptions like any thread on the internet), and at the moment one of the few venues to collect the pseudo-facts. I say pseudo because it is still very dynamic and each county is spinning their own "scent" on the process (some consistent with the SC-ruling, some not so much). And as always, you can always ask specific questions, folks here in this thread have been very helpful, if the answer to your question is known I am sure someone will answer it for you.
  7. The issue posted was the judges are looking for guidance, who better to provide it to them over the NJSTers. We don't need them anymore actually, but if that has to wait till legislation changes and the Judges can't figure it out for themselves now they should pic up the phone.
  8. I guess they don't know how to dial the NJSTers who have been handing out permits with no Judgy involvement to X-leo's for a long time.
  9. Bruen was earthshattering in our favor, but we can't expect Thomas and Alito to show up and witness in every 2A county dispute, they gave us the tools, the rest is up to us...It is expected that some pushback would come from a state that now has to adapt to the new reality after over 100 years, a reality that should have always been manifested here...In fact, given the AG capitulated in 1 day, the Troopers and most PDs are supporting this transition, and the ridiculous no carry in car is limited so far to only 2 judges, we are doing exceptionally well vs what was expected by ANJRPC. IANAL, but I can't see how these two counties can put that kind of severe restriction when apparently no others are (so far anyway). And given the Strikeforce is all over this issue, even though I live in Ocean, I'm not particularly concerned.
  10. I'm guessing I am in the same batch, my last reference was called about a week before yours. But the nice Ladies in the PD haven't called me yet...I guess I am not surprise they haven't got at least 1 permit signed, about a month ago she told me she sent the first post SC ruling batch in early August if I remember correctly...I have always estimated 1 month in PD and 2 month for Judge...Looks like they a running a little behind on the 1 month, and who knows what this judge is up to...Odd, but overall good that the driving restriction so far seems to be just in 2 counties, ours being one sucks, but indicates to me it will not stand very long.
  11. Per discussion above, I wouldn't violate the Judges order - no carry while driving. It isn't going to last long given the recent SP ruling...And we have no indication (at this time) it is coming from the executive branch/AG/NJSTers because it has only been sighted in Ocean and Monmouth (2 verified sample only (i think)...More likely the 2 Judges are activists judges. We've waited so long to get to this point, why get a violation when you can wait just a little longer. That restriction is so outlandish it will fall apart from its own weight, imo. The Strikforce Lawyer e-mailed me stating that they are already aware and "on it".
  12. Can you give us a link to the Use of force presentation...I only found one on line written by the State of NJ for all LEOs to follow. I read it because much (no all) of it applies to civilians too...Do you have something different?
  13. I am wondering who is providing the guidance to the counties...There are 3 branches (obviously :-)), and I'm just guessing that it could only come from the legislative branch via law when they are in session, and it always takes a long time...Then there is the AG and the State Troopers in the executive branch. I would guess the standards and proposed codes concerning carry would come from them...The Judicial branch (as far as I know) doesn't have the authority to make laws, so I believe Monmouth and Ocean Judges are just pulling crap out of the air about the no-carry while driving, because if it was coming from the AG/Troopers it would (likely) be applied to all counties. And we see enough incidents in other counties that permits are not restricted which implies the driving restriction is not being applied universally. Well, I am glad the ANJRPC Task force is working this Carry while Driving issue. I think the two fore mention counties will be induced to stop the nonsense (or get sued).
  14. Yep...Least we forget, freedom cost money, I hope everyone is a member of ANJRPC and donates even beyond the measly $40 dues...Of course I am an NRA member also, but IMO, I give ANJRPC the priority, they do great work considering how the odds are stacked against 2A in NJ...But the SCOTUS gave us a 2A "BOOSTER-SHOT" in June so things will change for the better from here.
  15. Here is Bit of GOOD News for a change, I just got this response from the ANJRPC-Strikeforce, a response to my e-mail concerning the "no carry while driving" restriction, I am sure they don't mind me sharing...Great to hear this, there is no way that restriction will stand even if we have to sue. "We’re already on this. Thank you for your report. Dan"
  16. Talking to local PD is in addition to lawyering up, not a replacement...Lets hope ANJRPC takes care of the Lawyering. I made no comment about where I drive, I think you convolved two posters...At any rate discussing with PD is free, no charge so why not. It isn't a solution, possible some added value.
  17. I hope everyone is contacting ANJRPC about this no Car-carry issue to voice your concerns...This is relatively a new issue as the permits post SC ruling just starting to trickle out so we need to let them know, the more of us who contact them the better...Call them (it is only an answering machine) and e-mail the Stikeforce both contained on this link...You do not have to be a member to do this (but if you aren't a member shame shame only $40 for non range membership): If we don't complain, we can only blame ourselves - in addition to how unconstitutional this Judge overreach is on the face of it, remember to articulate the risk to our lives if we have to load the gun in public: https://www.anjrpc.org/page/A_Strikeforce
  18. Yea, no matter what, we are ahead of the game, who would have thought the NJ-AG would capitulate in 1 day, I figured 6m-a year of litigation...This driving thing will not stand long, it is so absurd on the face of it, but someone has to start the suite. It is a mixed bag, if we all get hosed, anjrpc will likely act, if a relatively few get hosed they might have to sue on their own...I'll try talking to the PD too, I live in a heavily republican district and the Ladies down at the firarm recodes department have been absolutely spectacular with support, but either way ANJRPC or not I will lawyer up and fight for my rights.
  19. After watching the vid of David and thinking about it, unfortunately, I don't think they are singling him out. I think they are going to put the driving restriction on everyone. It is ideology over spite. Yea, I am sure (like doctors do) Judges all speak with each other know each other even play golf with each other, so yea there could have been collaboration of sorts on what restrictions they could put...Jeff may have just got lucky by getting there early before the judges realized how the can temper the SC ruling... The only way to stop this now is another Lawsuit, not sure if a judge can be sued or the county has to be sued...But that driving restriction has to be dealt with in court. Anyway, that is my opinion for now, I hope to heck I am wrong and David and the person from ocean are the exception. But it doesn't sound likely. We are jointly hosed for now. Some posted that Nappin is working this and it will be resolved in the short term. Maybe that is why the permits are being held up right now. This would be nice, but I'd feel better if we heard this from Nappen, maybe in his seminar Sunday.
  20. Excellent vid thanks...He spends a lot of time on the driving restriction as just plain nutz and feels like we do it is the most formative restriction...He thinks it is a vendetta against him too. Parks and such hum, but a car is much different as it is an intrinsic part of daily life, no way in heck that will hold up post SC ruling...Hopefully, ANJRPC and co. are dealing with this now as it negates the permit quite a bit. And is very unsafe having to load up in public every place you stop your car.
  21. I have received hugs and kisses from my PD all the way...Even the NJS Troopers are helping the qualification ranges understand the laws as far as the qual which are lower than what the pre-ruling infrastructure her maintained when 95% of their clientele are retired cops. Unfortunately many ranges are not listening to them on the hope of charging more and extra and selling additional classes. I always suspected if we were to run into delays (in ocean anyway) it would likely be the Judge step. This restricted vs non restricted thing is still not jiving with me...If they were issuing non-restricted before the SC ruling (and yes some restricted), they just can't justify from June on to forever giving everyone a restricted. Yea, they can do anything they want for now, but it isn't going to hold up in court post SC ruling, not without cause anyway (which we have yet to see). The man issue for me is the driving while carry restriction. No way on earth they will get away with this if applied in universal manner on everyone...We need more samples at the moment to see if anyone is getting an unrestricted permit. And then the big question is, on what basis are the restricting those who get the restricted permit. Of course, no need for any judges any more...Ad hoc in case a PD refuses, then you need a judge.
