  1. Thanks for that input. I am not a fan of not having a manual safety on my weapons. Personal preference. I will check out the bodyguard again and the pm9! Thanks again

no problem. I leave the safety off when I carry the BG but I can appreciate your thoughts on the no safety policy. Also the cm9 can be had a few hundred cheaper if your interested. Best of luck on your decision

  2. Well I stopped at one place called wt's on route 70. Heal eat selection of guns. Checked out some possible conceal carry weapons. I looked at the beretta nano, the s&w bodyguard and another s&w. I really liked the bodyguard so far. I will be checking them out more hw no get back to nj. For now I am waiting for my flight reading my first copy of recoil magazine. Never heard if it but looks cool

without getting into the whole caliber debate. I forgot a few times that i had the bodyguard on me. It's that comfy and conceals that well. I either carry it in my front pocket or on the hip. At 7 yards the bullets go where i want them and i personally like the trigger and i can manipulate the controls with ease. The nano I hated the trigger and it felt like a brick. Got rid of it and got a pm9 off a forum member here and love it. And it's only a little bigger then the bg380. I can't conceal it in all pockets like the BG. Hope the insight helped. Interested in your impression on the guns.

  3. Millisan 1 said: NJ2AS suggested to members we become candidates.  I took the bull by the horns and did so.  Whenever I asked for guidance or help in the process, I received little to none.  I was told to go through the motions, figure it out, share my experiences and give them a report, so the next batch of candidates could have success.  This was my first inkling that the board did not make plans, that they got ideas and went forward.

So if Millsan was encourage to run for a political office by the NJ2AS why wouldn't he expect some guidance along the way. Shane, your post seems to be the same issue people have with Frank. Kinda ballsy to comment like that to a fellow member who is trying his best in the 2A fight and taking a suggestion that NJ2AS shared with him to run for political office. Just my opinion but this doesn't seem like a good way to get and/or keep members. Also sounds like you are encouraging people to reach for the brass rings while you guys are busting their balls because they reach them without a stool.

Millsan, your post is the poster child of what I'm talking about. If you need your hand held to lead your project, your not the guy! Plain and simple. I absolutely, without a doubt, will bet the farm on the fact that every idea you gave has been given 20 times over at a minimum.

It startles me how easy people must think these endeavors are. I fully admit I am not up to speed on any current NJ2AS internal activity as I took a leave of abscence about a year ago. ANd I have no clue what the current nonsence is about. But as a founding board member, I obviously still carry the torch.

But some of you seem to be dying to fan the flames like a bunch of kids sitting on the sidelines yelling fight, fight, fight to egg on the two kids in the center that may never have fought at all. Its pathetic!

Do any of you realise that Anthony is/was PART OF THE NJ2AS leadership? As in a member of the board? Trust me all these people have each others cell on speed dial. So in my humble opinion, intervention is not needed by anyone outside the circle. Frankly you should all just leave them alone and let people cool off!

  4. Guys the POST that Anthony is going ballistic over was posted from a fake account called Shame Wall. It is a troll that is doing a good job the past few days causing destruction on NJ's 2A effort. The 2A groups have been making waves thru many social medias and obviously someone has infiltrated.

That's why I was asking. It would be really weird for a professional business owner to post something like that but sometimes people do weird things.

  5. I personally been thanking Frank for a while now and also agree there are moles amongst us

I'm going to renew my membership and attend the next meeting in Winslow. For the money it's worth it to try for another year.  I gotta ask about this. If this is what you say about the members out in the open what do you say behind closed doors. Also if you have proof of moles, care to share?

  6. The organization MUST be larger than Frank (or any ONE man) if it is to have any staying power. Similar to the founding of this country, the reason George Washington refused to serve more than two terms was that he wanted the people to understand that the Country was larger than he, and that the people did NOT need a "king" as it was contrary to the overall intent of the revolution and the establishment of these United States.

Frank has done a great job of establishing NJ2AS. Just as in business, there are entrepreneurs who start businesses, and they're GREAT at starting businesses, but once the business is running, they're no longer challenged and interested, it's time for them to sell what they established and do another start up. By the same token, there are other business men and women who can't start a business but can take one that is started and make it evolve, refine and grow further.

In my opinion, it's time for an evolver and a refiner to fine tune NJ2AS.

My two cents, without airing dirty laundry.

and +1 for this. As I started. Not a frank hater, don't know the guy. Like what the nj2as stands for. Hope I will continue to support if thing stabilize. Just still believe this forum can be used for greater things when it comes to communication.

  7. Simply this - the guy JUST resigned. How about we let the waters settle first before throwing the baby out with the bath water?

I get what you're saying. Believe me, I do. But when the president of an organization quits publicly it's a natural reaction to comment. I noticed that no one said anything here yet and I knew a good amount of members don't use Facebook. Am I ready to never be a nj2as member again, no? I'm just pumping the breaks and publicly asking what others are going to do or are at least thinking.

  8. Lol this forum isn't the place to unite

This signature exceeds the 15 character capacity

Why not? This forum is how I found out about and joined the NJ2AS. This is a site dedicated to guns, there is a facebook page........ Do you have a suggestion? Renewing my membership to the NJ2AS was on my list of things to do with this weeks pay check but things look shaky so I was curious what other peoples thoughts were. This isn't an anti-NJ2AS thing.

  9. I'm curious as to the serialized frame being sold in PA to a NJ residence. I guess you would have to build it and then have it transferred to a NJ dealer or have you buy a frame from a NJ dealer then go do the class. Any idea how they go about it?

  10. Come to USANA indoor tomorrow and you can try mine, you'll lose sleep thinking about getting one lol.

I've shot them. Just don't have the itch for it yet. Maybe one day but I think my goals this year are

    -buy a revolver in 38 or 357

-be able to hit a 12" target at 50 yards consistently

-buy a bolt action .308 and work on shooting 300yds

-do some type of build (don't know if it's modify an AK, build another AR or build a 1911)

  11. Just made a few minor tweaks.

    1- Finish school

1a- get as much tail as you can and buy a gun as a gift for finishing school

2- Start looking at graduate school

2a- get as much tail as you can and save money by only buying ammo

3- Get a job hopefully with an employer that will help pay for said grad school

3a- Finding a job with continuing education benefits is a must- With money saved by employer paying way save what you would spend for a house, while getting tail.

4- Go on to graduate studies while working

4a- Save money........... Start finding that perfect piece of tail........

5- Advance in your career while going to grad school

5a- Save money............... Hopefully you found the woman of your dreams and that money saved is now a little lighter due to a ring and home...

    6- Finish grad school

6a- Buy a gun for your success.

Always have a goal and remember that to reach that goal it will take some hard work, sacrifice and determination.  Also, while on this journey think about what gets you excited and what you love to do.  Then go do it, either in your career or outside of your career.

From there let life happen and keep setting goals and striving to accomplish them.  It is the journey that fulfills one's soul not the destination.  I know it may not sound sexy but trust me it works!

No shame if you are working hard towards a goal.

  12. I feel they are truly anti's that sign up, make a few radical statements that they will believe will show the worst in us. Then they realize we aren't crazies so they say " I was very pro-gun but now I believe guns are for the devil since SH and all the other mass shootings so I can give up my guns so now you can too!"
