Hi guys, quick question. Can I legally transport my wife's hand gun to the range along with mine if she is not with me?
No.

Each municipality is different. It ranges from telling the employer exactly why they're asking for references to not contacting them at all. NJ, no rhyme or reason.

They had that deal back in December. 2100 plus ammo can for $84.00. I ordered and it's been back ordered ever since. I'm still getting notices it's still back ordered. WTF!
Call them on it.

I'm one of those that complained about their price structure. I feel some of you are misstating my opinion on the matter, either because you don't get it or are doing it on purpose.
I'll make it really easy:
It's their place. They can charge whatever they want.
It's my money. I'm free to spend it wherever I want.
I'm free to think that their fees are completely unreasonable.
They are free to think I'm a cheap ass bastard.
At the end of the day, both of us walk away happy: them, with a brand spanking range with all the memberships sold withing hours and me, with a couple dollars in my pocket.
With all honesty, I wish them well and I have no doubt they will be wildly successful. I may even stop by once in a while. I will not take a large second mortgage for a full deal membership or small one for a stripped out membership, though.
But that's just me and life is good.

Again, I have no idea if it's a hot, cold or lukewarm deal, but here it is:

The ammo will be reasonably priced. I want you to buy from us so no gouging for members, you will see.
Ant
Do you have ties to the place, Ant.?

There are plenty of options in North NJ for every budget.

All my weapons were purchased through a FFL and I had CCWs from Florida & Nevada, wanted to get another CCW from NJ next but I guess all the "hype" I heard about NJ is not hype to me anymore.
That's was not the question you were asked. I understand why you would be quiet on the subject, though.

Pretty much spot on brother.
One thing to add about the Vienna Convention (1968), its only allows for a country's representative to agree to the treaty's wording. It still has to go through that countries legal process to become official to them. So, technically there is no back handed, illegal way to get a treaty passed here unless there is a super majority vote to change the constitution. Which won't happen. Ever.
That's right.
Quoting from the US constitution, Article II, section 2:
http://www.senate.go...ion.htm#a2_sec2
...
He [the President]shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments...
Now, all those decrying the partisanship, the gridlock in Washington, care to rethink their position?

I don't know if it needs to be locked up, but it is probably a good idea and it should be stored preferably in the rear of vehicle, in particular the trunk and away from access by people in the front. It cannot be stored in the same case that a firearm is stored in and should not be stored in a magazine, etc. And, there is no reason to call attention to it by making it visible, etc. It would not be a good idea to have in glove box, etc.
Are you citing law or is this your reading of the law?

As long as they are not hollow points, why does it matter where you're transporting from/to?
Yeah, this. I always thought that transporting ammo has no restrictions (or better yet, it doesn't have to fall within any of the exemptions) unless it is hallow points.

How to shoot like in the movies ghetto style:
1: raise the pistol with one hand and tilt sideways.
2: insult.
3: grab the package.
4: insult.
5: shoot trowing the bullets, jump around.
6: insult.

I don't reload so I don't know if it is hot, cold or lukewarm. But if you need it, they have it. Probably not for long.

I mailed to a buyer a complete upper via USPS insured. The box gets delivered empty to the purchaser. I filed the insurance claim and it was denied. They said the upper receiver, which isn't a firearm, wasn't mailable. One I thought USPS would transport firearms and secondly this bit wasn't even a firearm.
Now get this, they won't return the upper receiver either! No part, no insurance payment. They won't even refund the insurance premium since they delivered the empty box.
I'm dumbfounded by this. I don't even know where to go next.
What are you saying?
Are you saying the USPS opened the box, removed the upper receiver, delivered an empty box and are fixing to keep it?
Are they admitting they're keeping the upper receiver?

So do we know exactly why they thought the AR was an assault rifle? Sorry it may have been touched on but i didnt want to search 9 pages. Was it really a pinned 30 round mag that caused it??
We. Don't. Know.
This. The bottom line is that we don't know. I haven't seen a detailed list of what was found in the apartment. I haven't heard Mr. Nappen nor Mr. Pantaleon claim everything found was NJ legal. They may very well have, I just haven't heard it.
All I've heard is that the search was illegal and the judge seemed to have agreed since it released Mr. Pantaleon on his own recognizance.

.... But where do I put the ammo? ...Anywhere you want.
IANAL

...lawful entitled to buy firearms....
Do they really think this letter helped their case at all?

No reasoning with this closed minded ignorant mentality here..moving on
I'll ask you because you are an officer and have that frame of reference:
Assume you pulled somebody over and asked:
1-Do you have anything I should know about?
2-Do you have anything illegal like drugs, guns?
How should one answer to cause the least amount of grief to both parties?
Now, I understand that for those questions to be asked, things moved beyond a piddly traffic stop but please play along with me.
I'm not trying to put you on the spot or provide fodder for anybody. I'm just curious.

I don't know about you, but if somebody tries to murder me, I don't follow the attempting murderer to his house, throw the first punch, get my ass kicked, have my wife hand me a gun, shoot up a car and surrender to the authorities. But that's just me.
