  1. Who knows .. it needs to have air to run, somewhere for the CO to go, and not be in the rain. I'd be more worried about the table being blown away then anything else. Just don't run it inside your house or attached garage, everything else is secondary. I suspect unless you enclose it in a airtight shed it would have enough air, the CO is the bigger worry.

Its outside. Table and tarp have cinder blocks on it. I guess it'll have to do.

  2. Thats a bad plan, you are going to find yourself doing the first oil change in the middle of a storm, trying to figure out where all the controls are, etc. Not to mention, you might need it again and if your plan is to never use it and return it you might have taken the last generator from someone who was going to REALLY need it.

Mine is hooked up, but I'll still be doing my first oil change in the middle of the storm. You're supposed to do it after about 12 hours of run time, correct? Do I actually have to drain the oil or will the oil be gone? Probably have to drain it, which sucks b/c I dont know where the drain is. LOL.

  3. I hear ya! I just p/u one @ Lowes just in case.

I hope NOT to use it and return it on Wednesday!

Package will be unopened until needed.

I was going to do that too, but I didn't want to be making a shelter for it in the middle of a hurricane so I decided to hook her up and get her running. I'd do it right now if I were you. There's no doubt we're going to lose powers for a significant amount of time.

  4. I use to work at a shop repairing them and also do it at my shop in clifton. Use 0w30 oil and it's one quart usually. Check the oil while using it bc brigs and stranton n generacs have issues of blowing. Any questions or repairs pm me

What do you mean issues of blowing? I just freaking bought a Briggs and Stratton. :(

  5. Try the Clarion on Rt 37. Its about 15 mins from the Seaside bridge. You REALLY don't want to stay in a hotel in Seaside. Stay safe! You can also try the Howard Johnson on Hooper Ave.

EDIT: Just read the rest of the posts. Just so you guys know, even though its mandatory, they cant force you out.

  6. You can still but they have there gay ass rules with them

What rules are you guys talking about? The only one I'm aware of is that you must pick up what you shoot, which I would hope everyone did anyway. I looked through the rules, and couldn't find any rules on it. I'm not saying you're wrong, but what rules are you talking about?

  7. I have a M&P40 and love it! Feels great, shoots as good as I'm shooting, reliable, and I can fire thousands of rounds through her without cleaning. Having said that, every single time I pick up Glocks, I shoot great with them, even with their less than stellar trigger IMO. My M&P also had a horrible trigger, which is replaced by a APEX USB, Hard Sear, and RAM. Like others have already said, your best best is to hold and shoot both and go from there. Good luck.

  8. To the OP, the first thing you should do is upgrade the trigger. I never understood how some ppl buy firearms, and then put $100's of dollars worth of accessories on, when the trigger is so much more important. Shitty trigger=shitty accuracy. I have a m&p15 chamberd in 5.56. Not the sport. The gas keys were not staked properly and it took THREE trips back to S&W to fix it. I know everyone says their CS is great, but I had to send my AR back three times. It literally seemed like they did not touch the gun the first two times. It took a nasty letter for them to finally fix it properly. But since then, it has run flawlessly and will serve you well. But look to upgrade the trigger, b/c the stock one is horrible.

EDIT: I forgot this thread was about ammo. My bad. Mine shoots steel cased ammo just fine. It makes the gun dirtier and doesn't perform as well as brass, but for range use, its fine.

  9. Are you trying to get your draw and fire badge for the club. I just printed out the last three matches scores I went to and brought them to the BOD meeting with my name highlighted and showed them to John the club president and got my badge. If you are concerned and want to get sign offs print out last months scores and bring them to Rich at this months shoot and I would think he would sign off. maybe show up a little early and help set up I am sure that would make him more likely plus they are short people and could always use a hand :)
For the draw and fir badge, you only need to print out and bring the results. If there were no actual printed results for the match (like some of the smaller events), then you would need a note from the match director saying you participated but for steel and USPSA, printouts are just fine.

    Nice. Thakns guys.
