  1. My husband and I were there at 8 sharp this morning. Cheerfully greeted with "Sir" and "Ma'am". Filled out the paper work and got two ports next to each other. Range Officers showed us how things worked and were friendly. When we left the ports, Anthony was there and chatted with us a bit - a nice touch!

Really classy, clean, professional business. You owe it to yourself the check it out.

Well done, Anthony! We wish you continued success.

  2. I carry it always and it is NOT pristine. I agree with mcm308- very useful when renewing driver's license :-). I keep it in a heavy plastic ID holder (the kind on the end of a lanyard) along with my NRA membership card, my gun club cards, etc. I am completely screwed if I lose that plastic thing!

  3. If you have custom guns worth thousands each, then get the safe with a dehumidifier - don't be penny wise and pound foolish. If you have hunting firearms (that are designed to be outside in all types of weather) or non-custom that are designed to be used, I don't think you need to baby them. You do need to take care of them. Keep up with maintenance (cleaning, oiling and inspecting) and you will catch problems before they get out of hand. If you see rust starting to form, you should rethink that approach. Just my 2 cents.

  4. That's rough. Sounds like she is coping as best she can. If you are into trap and clay shooting, you may want to re-introduce her to firearms through that route (especially since she had positive experiences in the past). But go slow. To have actual experience where an officer was not safely handling a firearm and it resulted in a fatality...jeez, how is she ever suppose to trust anyone handling a firearm around her now?!? Again, kudos to her for how far she has come. Good luck!

  5. Thanks everyone! This has been great. Yes, I want to upgrade. I am fine with getting a used pistol, so the Ed Browns, Les Baers and Wilson Combats may not be completely out of reach. (Anyone selling? :-) )

Still have 3 weeks on OGAM so I have time to sort through all the advice. I don't want to go for a complete custom job because I don't know enough to make wise choices.

Keep the advice coming. It is really helpful and very appreciated!
