I've caught the 1911 bug. While I am waiting for my OGAM period to run, I figured I can plan my next 1911 purchase. I have an STI Spartan and a Colt Series 70. I am looking for a "step up" from these. budget is around $1500-2000. I would like it in .45 acp and it does not need to be a new pistol.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would be surprised if we see them under $100 again. Supplies from the "Motherland" are running low.

Great, easy, smooth transaction. Really nice guy who waited while my permits came in. As a bonus, he showed me some of his collection. Thank you, Chris!

Mossberg 500 and Remington 870 always seem like good choices. For a spell the Winchester SXP Defender was the hot new thing. I was looking for it last year and the sales person, to my regret, talked me out of it.

Thanks for the easy transaction. Always a pleasure seeing you!

I am going to pass on one of these. I can't make the decision for you. These jacket airbags seem to deploy at significantly slower speeds than car airbags, therefore, unless you travel quite a distance before impact, it will serve little protection. I will keep my full face helmet and jacket with armor.

Interested in some. Not sure how the logistics will work out on hand-picking and all, but happy to help think through a fair system.

Easy transaction. Would buy from him again! Thanks!

What a cutie! All the best!

My first was a SigSauer SP2022 9mm. Fit my hand best after trying out a bunch of others. (I have smaller hands at 5'4".). It is easy to clean and pretty accurate.

Welcome! Good luck with your legal matter.

Smooth transaction and easy to work with. Real nice guy!

I have it in 9 mm. It is accurate, reliable and easy to clean. I shoot American Eagle thru it with no issues. It fits my hand comfortably, but some with larger hands may not find it as comfortable. Holsters that are specific to the gun are not plentiful, but you can find them online.

Sounds interesting

Nice! Enjoy it.

Thanks for the input. And, Maksim, maybe we only need one thumb, not for shooting, but for loading ammo.

I broke my thumb on my right hand (I am right handed), but don't want to stop training for 6-12 weeks. I thought about doing pistol training with my left hand. (I am right eye dominant.). I think that is the easy/easier part. I also want to continue trap shooting if I can. I don't know if that is possible/realistic. I have pump action shotguns. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!
