I'm a great photographer

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, and I don't have reloading dies for 6.8 yet. Range report is coming though. BUIS are next as well as sling and light when I find a price I'm ok with. The Aimpoint will have a home on that rail as soon as I get the riser for it. Build list: Spikes lower (not color filled, did it myself) Armalite lpk Geissele SSA Magpul MIAD grip Rock River Operator A2 stock ASC 15 rd mag Midwest Billet upper AR Performance super bolt and scout profile barrel Ice Arms carrier and gas block (not my best purchase decision, butno defects that I can tell) Spikes laser engraved dust cover Diamondhead vrs-x 15" rail Tactical linear compensator from custommuzzlebrakes.com

Took me a year to finish, but hey, slow and steady wins the race, right?
-
Bought the FA and dust cover at a gun show this weekend, charging handle and muzzle break are in the mail. That's all the parts minus mags and buis. Should have a functioning rifle within a week.

That's normal, unless it's abnormally deep. -
I do have a second lower lying around...
-
Honestly, I just liked it and the price was right.Plus if there's and easy way or a hard way, 9/10 times I'll pick the hard way.

Back ordered parts (barrel and bolt) finally came into stock. Arrived on Thursday, parts look good. FA, dust cover, and gas tube are all I need to get her in shooting shape.

Just pulled the trigger on a barrel/bolt combo from Stutts Tactical. CS was exemplary. Got an ARP 16" scout profile barrel and ARP superbolt.
-
About 1200 minus optic and mags.
-
I know some people epoxy magazine floor plates. I'd imagine the same concept applies to stocks.

Been a while since the last update, took some pics of the upper on and the rail while at home for spring break. Unfortunately, the anti rotation tabs don't fit around the thick walls of the billet upper. Open to suggestions on how to get around that. I was thinking dremel.

I know you said you didn't really want to mess with it, but you could grind off the fsb. -
Block has shipped, guess it's all worked out.

Midwest makes a two piece rail available in fde. Never used one so can't personally speak to quality. -
Solid, good to know.
-
I feel ya... if they handle the cancellation well and they can shorten lead times I'd be willing to give them a shot.
-
That bad, huh?
-
Still no word on gas block, mild optimism is now moderate frustration.
-
Something turn you off it?
-
Bolt, barrel, mags.
-
Only pics I have with me. Will upload more next time at home.

Pics not uploading for some reason, working on it...
