What I dont get is, 1000's of pistols (such as Glocks) disappeared from the shelves in NJ stores within last 15 or so days.
Whats left is priced crazy. So given all these stories about how people wait atleast 30 days (and much longer) for new Pistol Permits
and One-Gun-Per-31-day rule, how did that happen ?
The FFL's turned around and sold them online to out of state buyers.

There is another aspect that some people (or any people) are thinking about. This whole crazy run on firearms/parts/ammo happened at the worst time. The holidays. Sales were already thru the roof on Black Friday and past. The industry was chugging along supporting everything because of forecasted sales predictions for Christmas/Black Friday.
Then Sandy Hook happened and blew predictions out of the water. Barring legislation to the contrary, everything will work itself out.
To those crying "Gouging!!!!!111!1!1!" You are incorrect in your statements. Gouging happens in time of emergency. Example, the reports of bodegas selling boxes of matches, batteries, and bottles of water for over 10 times the original price. That is price gouging. Artificially increasing price during an emergency. As Midwest said, firearms are discresionarry (sp) items, and we are in a spenders created emergency.
I am here hoping for the best, and hoping that I actually get to shoot my rifle at some point and don't have it taken away. Shore Shot is going to do, what they are going to do. Don't say they are doing something wrong when they are not, according to the law, just vote with your $$$.
Everyone, keep breathing and writing letters.

Oh sorry about that. I got my punctuation wrong
Next question, how often do these ccw laws come up in Senate or Assembly? Is this an annual thing, or a new development?

Well, after doing my own research, the only difference I can find is that S104 is good for 2 years after issuance, with renewal every 2 years where S269 is good for 5 years.
Either way, AWESOME! Maybe I should get a roll of stamps tomorrow .

I read the first (S104) right to carry bill. Anyone who has read through all of the carry bills, what is the difference in the language between them. If no one has, I will try to read them tonight, but I have to admit, I am no lawyer, just a computer geek with an opinion

What year do we live in? Why is an electronic NICS system not being used, with the phone as a backup? I mean, I understand the conspiracy reason, but in reality, if it is available why are more ffl's not using it?
And, not that I support any more legislation regarding guns, why not make instant NICS nation wide, on a website, and allow anyone trying to transfer a firearm able to access it?
God, common sense is crazy, I know.

Hello Everyone, I thought I should introduce myself.
My name is A.J, and I am a new participant in the 2A hobbies. I am 29, from Mercer county NJ, a husband and a new dad, my beautiful daughter is 7 months old, and finally got my FPID updated, and decided to get a PPP at the same time after moving from Union County.
Just picked up some goodies, got my AR lower all assembled, and then Sandy Hook happened. So, now I know what it is like to be a participant in a rights battle. I was too young to remember '94 ( or be a participant). I started in this at exactly the wrong moment. Have built a little bit of a stockpile over the last 3 weeks, at a reasonable price. Now just to get out and stretch my new Sigs legs.
I hope (and will contribute to the cause). I have never been active in the political arena, as life can often be easy, so sometimes it is good to have something to be passionate about, and to have events that try our convictions to remind us of what this country is about.
Thanks for your time, and it will be a blast to participate here.
Oh, and Happy New Year! Hopefully 2013 will work out in our favor.

Wrong,
You got into this hobby at the right moment.........
.....you are here because of interest in firearms and want to learn more, not dismiss "evil" guns like the masses.
Do join the NRA if you have not already done that
This link gets you in for just 25$ instead of thr regular 35$

Glad to see new people into firearms at the right time. Go over to thr new members/introductions and tell us something about yourself
Thanks. I am an NRA member, and joined NJ2AS. Received my Sig SP2022 last Thursday and have an AR lower awaiting a Palmetto State Upper. I have never been active in anything politically, so the current "environment" has me angry/anxious/and a little bit excited at being a voice standing out from the woolen masses. Thanks for the warm welcome. I will post in the new members forum tonight.

I just wrote my parents address until after college
That is what they are looking for. The only addresses that matter are ones that have been offically updated ie. you had a drivers license that had that address on it. I have only had 2 addresses. My parents house, and my current house.
I have "lived" in 4 different places, but only changed my license/voter reg/payroll stub once.
Poll: If you have contacted Politicians about Feinstein Ban - please post here.

Yes. Numerous emails, have included other than my d-14 critters, bohner good latte (head of the senate or house justice committee). After the emails, I wrote letters to local reps (gov, Lt. Gov, nj reps) about concealed carry laws and castle doctrine. And letters to national (Pres, congressman, senators) including Good latte and bohner. More emails today. And have enrolled and have been commenting on popvox.
Keep up the fight everyone. Media is waning for the anti's and they are starting to commit gaffes to the soccer moms, namely the NY permit list. Write/email/fax/and call your reps. Let your voice be heard. That is the great part about this country, we can still speak up as loud as we want.
