Gun manufactures have been trying to prefect this for some time now. Also its something else that could cause a malfunction.

The Remington R1 Enhanced is a great gun under a $1000. Also, don't overlook the customer service of the 1911 your considering!
-
Yep, I was at Cabela's on Saturday and was told I could leave with a long gun.
-
Interesting, as I recently took a course and they said the gun and the ammo must be in two physically separate bags. Got to love NJ gun laws where if you ask 50 people you get 52 answers.
I agree, I took a NRA pistol course and they said the same thing!

From what I understand, the problem for Cabelas in NJ is store layout. Essentially, all Cabelas retail locations have the same footprint, with ammo accessible in a general location. Additionally, they have a particular way of displaying certain used guns and muzzleloaders. NJ law required Cabelas to have ammo and all guns behind a counter, with no access to the public. Cabelas wouldn't change their store layout. I can't say I blame them. It works in every other state, and the redesign would have been costly with really no sales benefit to the store.
This is the same thing I heard from a Cabela's employe at the Hamburg, PA location.

Welcome aboard, good luck with your application process!

Welcome, I also shoot at the Heritage Guild in Easton!

High end cars getting jacked and going right into containers in Port Newark.. They even know how to disable the satellite antenna so they cant be tracked..
JRFLY3006 you hit the nail on the head. Last month I heard a story of 2 guys carjacking a Porsche 911 turbo in Newark. They caught one of them because he could not drive a stick.

Hi, welcome from Plainfield!
-
Thanks, ordered 5 PMC's and 5 herters in 223.
-
Maybe it's because the ammo manufacturers are just focusing on making centerfire ammo. Dicks in Union has not had 22lr in months.
-
Yo, this is great, it had me LMAO!!!

That's sounds better, with your first set of numbers your would have been close to saturation point of the air. You mentioned that the basement is finished. Do you have heating and cooling in that area? If so do you have a return grill in that area?
-
We also need the support of the firearm shops. This has to be affecting their sales in someway. Will we ever return back to the days when you walk in get NICS check and leave with your firearm?
I got my FID about 4 years ago. How long has the 1 pistol every 30 days law been in effect and has it ever been challenged?
-
Thanks for the heads up, I just order my 5 boxes!!!
-
I would take the Ruger!
Why is your friend get rid of the Smith & Wesson?

I agree with BlueLineFish!
Just picked up a slightly used black TRP from the Heritage Guild of Branchburg. I'm very happy with the purchase, this is my first 1911. I was going to get the Remington R1 1911 enhanced in stainless until I saw the TRP at HGB.
Did some homework on it, went back and purchased it. I have never shot a 1911 before and I'm not that good of a shot with my PX4 Storm in .45 cal. Went to the range set the target out to 10 yards and I was in the 10 and 9 ring all day, love it .
Oh yea the gun came with the factory grips and a set of VZ grips also, I do not think the gun is broken in yet. It very hard to rack the slide.
Check out OIl The Gun on youtube
Also, read the quote on the back of his tee shirt, love it!!!!

I was told by an FFL to transport firearms you must have a FID. If you don't have an FID, keep them in your home and you will be ok.

Thanks for the info, I was there Saturday evening. The ammo shelf's were pretty empty. I picked up 5 boxes of 223, there's a 5 box limit on ammo.
