  1. It's a brand-new production run Brigadier. Beretta started production in October of last year on a limited run of Brigadiers & Vertecs for the 100th anniversary of the company producing semi-auto pistols. Mods done so far: Genuine Beretta stainless-steel guide rod & 13# titanium nitride recoil spring Genuine Beretta Elite-II skeletonized hammer Genuine Beretta Inox 15rd magazines (got them on sale + a 15%-off e-coupon) Wilson Combat short-reach steel trigger Wilson Combat 16# hammer spring (the 'D-spring' mod) Wilson Combat extended mag release Wilson Combat low-profile single-sided safety On any 92, a trigger job is 85% in the springs. Once I get about 400 to 500 rounds through her, I will strip-down again & polish the hammer, strut, sear, & trigger bar. She has about a 9lb DA & 4lb SA pull right now with these mods.
  2. Just finished installing a bunch of Wilson Combat mods & did the first 'detail cleaning' - I'm super happy with the outcome! Much thanks to my cousin at Cheyenne Gunsmith and Firearms LLC for getting her for me at only 10% over wholesale!
  3. Washington Township (Warren County) 18 days to get my P2P (just received it today for the brand-new Beretta Inox Brigadier I just got). 20 days in June of 2013 when I moved up here to re-issue the FID. No extra forms at all & the department secretary is a sweetheart!
  4. I got my original FPID & one P2P when I lived in Branchburg in 38 days (2009) - the PD there in town is a pretty cool bunch to deal with. I Moved to Washington Borough in June of this year - the PD secretary took care of a change of address in about 21 days, and was VERY prompt getting the questionnaires out. I was quite pleased both times.
  5. I PM'd him last night - none in stock, and 'slim to none' on the chance to get any more...
  6. Guys, Do you know if there is a way to take a stock 17rd G17 mag & permanently block the bottom to eliminate the last two rounds? I just saw something over in the rifle forum where a user epoxied a block into his rifle mags to permanently keep them at 15. I'm just wondering if that's possible to do with my G17...
  7. Military SBR version that's switchable between semi & full auto fire modes (the safety has three positions on this model):
  8. Yep, latest revision with the same shared lower as the Mx4, and thanks!
  9. Just a quick update - I was not happy with the TruGlo, so I sold it to a good friend that wanted it for his Hi-Point 4595, and I went with a Bushnell TRS-25. I have almost a perfect co-witness with this unit now as well:
  10. Guys, Sorry it's taken me so long to reply - work has been crazy the last week or so, but I've been getting all your responses on my mobile. I was at the Heritage Guild in Easton last Saturday, and they only had one Cx4 left (by the barrel size, I would assume it was a .40 or .45). I’m having a hard time finding the soft nylon case at a good price, as I don't want to bring the gun to the range in the hard-case. I joined the Beretta forum a day after joining here, and those guys are a treasure-trove of good info! Many discussions about the future of this weapon - I thought long & hard about where to spend my money, and I'm not disappointed with my purchase (I promised myself I wouldn't let news & images of what the replacement/redesign might be make me go "oh $hit, I gotta have that instead!"). Hopefully, I will get to the range & try her out on Friday or Saturday. I picked up a laser boresight for $27 & at least got my red-dot close enough to start with... Also, am I losing my mind, or does this forum not have a spell checker? Firefox won't spell-check in this text cell...
  11. I got mine for $799. I had some Christmas cash from my family that also helped to knock $100 off the main ticket cost. I guess I got lucky...
  12. HG-Easton told me that these are the latest generation, and they come with the pic-rail on the top from the factory. I'm going to leave the internals alone for now, but if I have issues in the future, I have no qualms about getting both the Sierra-Papa upgrade kits.
  13. Guys, The Heritage Guild here in Branchburg turned me on to this forum, and I finally got around to making an account today. I hope to learn a lot from you guys (only been an owner of firearms since 2009).
  14. Hi guys! An employee at the Heritage Guild turned me on to this site when I was there the week after Christmas (the Branchburg location). The only other forum I regulary participate in is GlockTalk.com, as I've been an owner of one since 2009. I had no idea you guys were here! I just grabbed a brand-new 9mm Beretta Cx4 Storm from the Easton location, and I'm looking forward to my first chance to get back there & try her out. Numerous friends have Hi-Point carbines in 9mm & .45, but I could not see myself buying one. I fell in love with the Cx4 as soon as I saw it, and with Beretta focusing the production lines almost solely on the full-auto models for the police agency in India that put in a large contract, these are getting as hard to find as hen's teeth/unicorn farts! Anone else here own one, and willing to give your own personal opinion? Most other public forums I've read, the owners love them.
