"This conclusion should not be considered groundbreaking. It is simply a straightforward application of constitutional law to an experimental governmental-overreach that goes far beyond traditional boundaries of reasonable gun regulation."
Who said that?
Reasonable gun regulation?

Need to inform/educate the masses about jury nullification.
Juries need to step in and hand down not guilty verdicts for all of NJ's anti-2A laws.
Might be able to accomplish this in the southern part of the state.
Northern liberal strongholds may be tougher.

Will give.
Where how do we join?

Agree with this wholeheartedly.
But we do have to be aware of the Judas goat organizations. One of which is the NRAint. While there are some true no compromise members, the NRAint leadership has repeatedly proven itself to be left leaning.

Florida might fall too? WTF...

Lets, make a list of things that would trigger our public servants to strip us of our rights by State force:
If you criticized government.
If you got mad at something.
If you like Trump.
If you farted in an elevator.
Anything else?

Nothing in subsections b., c. and d. of N.J.S.2C:39-5 shall be construed to prevent a person keeping or carrying about his place of business, residence, premises or other land owned or possessed by him, any firearm, or from carrying the same, in the manner specified in subsection g. of this section, from any place of purchase to his residence or place of business, between his dwelling and his place of business, between one place of business or residence and another when moving, or between his dwelling or place of business and place where such firearms are repaired, for the purpose of repair. For the purposes of this section, a place of business shall be deemed to be a fixed location.
The info above tells where you can carry and when you can transport. The manner in which you must transport is:
"All weapons being transported under paragraph (2) of subsection b., subsection e., or paragraph (1) or (3) of subsection f. of this section shall be carried unloaded and contained in a closed and fastened case, gunbox, securely tied package, or locked in the trunk of the automobile in which it is being transported, and in the course of travel shall include only such deviations as are reasonably necessary under the circumstances.”
Notice that you can carry between places of business or residences only when moving. You can carry at your rental property but I don't think you can get your gun there because you aren't moving there. However, transportation is legal for long guns only if you have an FID card.
So its lawful for me to have a firearm at my other property (lets call it the other property since it isnt rented yet), but I dont have a lawful way of getting it there unless I'm moving there or am taking it from a repair facility or place of purchase ie gun store?

Listen, I dont like it when my firearms have wear marks on em.
I need something that isnt going to rub away the finish from constant use!

Doesn't have to be a residence. Could be a patch of land surrounding a sink hole. If ya own it, you can patrol it. Laws go all the way back to pre-rev war where land owners had more rights. Guess what, it's STILL THERE, only they don't come straight out & say it!
Rosey
But we live in a lawless state where the opinions of elected representatives rule.

Yes, in NJ and its empty at the moment.

If you do, then it is allowing you to do that with handguns. FID allows for less strict transportation rules with long guns.I have my FID card, somewhere...

So I bought an investment property, my name is on the deed.
Can I take a firearm to this second home and then carry it on me as if I was at my primary residence?

Rally begins at 0900 so figure out how long it takes to get to Trenton from your general pickup location and plan on ariving at your "key location" a half hour ahead of that.
I'm most likely going to be driving up myself.
Majority of my friends are jagoffs who arent into the 2A.
I can be there at 9am.
Can someone message me with any other necessary details?

This 21 year old tobacco law is stupid. I've been a VFW member since I was 18. I came off Active Duty as a non-commissioned officer at age 20. Couldn't drink ( although I drank every place else in the world I'd been) but at least I could buy cigarettes. I'm sure there are people coming off AD now in the same boat.
When though?
When is it going to be passed?
When when when!?!?!?!?

Question about home owner's insurance claim
in General Discussion
Posted
So a friend of mine went away for a couple of months.
He asked me to check up on his house every so often.
I went a total of about 4 times?
He just got back to find his basement flooded due to a leaking pipe (dont know if it was due to freezing or just failed).
Couple questions:
1. Should he call his insurance company right away (assuming he hasnt already done so) or should he call an adjuster and or a lawyer first?
2. Can I in anyway be held responsible? :D
