Here is my new girl "ERIKA". She's a Spikes Tactical ST15, I just picked her up last week but hadn't had a chance to post pics.. (my in-law were here).
Current Specs:
- Spikes Tactical Spider lower with bullet pictos
- Spikes Tactical Enhanced LPK
- Spikes Tactical Milspec Upper
- 14.5" Spikes Tactical Barrel w/Dynacomp Extreme pinned and welded to make it NJ Compliant
- Spikes Tactical H2 buffer
- ACE Skeleton Stock (long)
- Spikes Tactical Charging handle w/battle latch
- Magpul MOE Mid length front hand guard
- MI rear BUS
- Magpul Grip
I plan to make a few changes to her in the next few weeks.. most likely change out the hand guards, the stock, Magpul exteded Bolt Catch Release, Ambidextrous safety, and maybe upgrade to a gisellie trigger system..
anyway, here are the photos of her current state!

Not sure if this is the right forum/section...
As of 10:11am Dicks in Mays landing had a few dozen boxes of The following in stock:
Federal .225 55 grain ammo in stock at $21.99 a box
Winchester 5.56 ammo at $12.99 a box.
Still more expensive than my LGS but if you need rounds they have them.
No 22lr. In stock.

however you want to get to the GSP and take it down to the traffic lights start!

Here here! Happy Father's Day guys! Today is my first Father's Day! Felt pretty cool holding my boy and having people wish me HFD.
Pretty cool indeed!

Very nice. Mine still gives me guff about going to the range.... Last time she said to me..."do you have to go shoot that thing? Isn't once a year good enough for you? Lol

Mg_e1 - what was the total length before. The new stock?
Thx

They already hit my card for the cost of the upper. I've been emailing them and calling to find out if they shipped and why my card was charged. It's been almost a month now since I was charged and still no product and I haven't been able to get in touch with them.
Hopefully it's just an oversight, I've always been one to give the benefit of the doubt.

I have been considering getting one of the rifle size safe's for the bed room closet. I have not seen or know any one who has one but if all goes according to plan... i'll let you know how the safe is after fathers day!

I am in the market for a nice set of optics for my AR. I've been looking for something that will serve a broad spectrum of service/duty. Something food for CQB Scenario's as well as some longer range shooting... I've come across the ELCAN Specter DR and i really like the versatility of it... The cost is a bit up there but for a quality item i dont mind paying a few bucks to get what i want.
Does any one here have any experience with them? what were/are your thoughts... please share.
If anyone has any suggestions for other optics for me to look at please post up. I'd love to hear some comparisons!
Thanks
ZAP
Incase you didnt know what it was here is the scope i'm looking at.
The ELCAN SpecterDR Dual Role Optical Sight represents a revolution in optical sight design. The world’s first truly dual field of view combat optical sight, the SpecterDR switches instantly from a 4x magnified sight to a 1x CQB sight with the throw of a lever. Unlike zoom sights, the SpecterDR offers an optimized optical path and identical eye relief in both 4x and 1x modes. Depending upon the situation, the user may adjust the sight to illuminate the entire crosshair or just a brilliant red dot in the center. In 4x mode the SpecterDR offers a generous field of view, long eye relief, and ELCAN’s legendary crystal clear image. In CQB mode, the SpecterDR has by far the largest field of view in the industry. The 4x and CQB Reticles are plainly visible even in the case of loss of electrical power due to battery failure or EMP. The SpecterDR offers the best single solution for Long Range and CQB engagements and is designed to withstand the rigors of modern professional use.

They are still in business. They are really really slow. There are plenty of reviews for them online. I had placed an order 2 months ago. got charged a month later and still no product. If i dont get the upper i ordered by the end of the month i will file a complaint with the CC company and see what can be done.
who knows...

I got to shoot a .50 Beowulf this weekend... I must say, I've been pricing out the costs to build one most of the morning....

Have you tried posting in the Vendor area? I was looking for a mossberg rifle a few months back and after posting there I hooked up with TJ Sporting, he had the rifle in stock and ready to go.
Try posting there.

Kind of an old topic but I thought I would add to it..... I have a few of the NFA Polymer lowers. I have to say I've been quite impressed so far. I have heard and have read all of the stories about the lowers failing but have not had any problems with Mine. A few friends liked the way they shoot and feel when we went to the range a few months back that they went and bought lowers and I helped them put together rifles. Everyone seems very happy so far.
I have about 100 rounds through a back up rifle I have and about 600 rounds though another no problems and all of my mags except one tapco (out of 50) drop free.
Here are of two of my girls, Belinda on top and Christie on the bottom.
I guess as with anything, there is a chance that you may end up with the unlucky one that fails. In that case hopefully you will not get hurt (in the event of a dynamic failure) and they will honor the Warranty.
anyway just tossing out my $.02

Just got off the phone with my FFL to see if they had my NICS back that was submitted last week.. they told me that everything was submitted but they are now at about 11 days out on any new NICS checks... sigh... i was hoping to shoot my new SIG this weekend...
Oh well.....
If you're waiting like i am, now you know why.

Sold him my S&W M&P 15-22 and he paid quickly and was a pleasure to deal with. Met up locally and had a very smooth transaction.

So I'm picking up my first Sig 2022 in .40 S&W this weekend. Got a sweet deal on the pistol 3 mags and holster and am just waiting on my NICS to be completed. I'm so anxious to get out and shoot her..
Does any one on the boards have one of these? any thoughts or things i should be concious of?
THanks
