    I actually live about 5 minutes from Bob's. They do not allow rifles of my caliber due to noise issues.

    Yes, it is private and you must be a member of the NRA. That said, great place to shoot. I was spoiled there. Some of the ranges down here in San Antonio are a little quaint to say the least compared to SJSC. But I can carry my handgun to and from the range.

    You will love the shield. I have had mine for six months now and love it. It is my everyday carry here in South Texas. I am a big guy, but it fits my hand real nice. Good luck withit Scrap. BTW how's your Benelli doing?

    +1 Just bought it and love it. One thing you need to know is that it is mil-dot not MOA. Also Front Focal Plane. Great scope, can't beat it for the money.

    Old timer here, Class of 77. Should be moved second week of July. In SA this week got to shoot full auto AR. Free America is looking pretty good.

    Just recently went through a process of elimination on a new shotgun. Remington, Benelli, Beretta, Mossberg.  Care to guess who won?  That's right, Benelli.  Waiting for it to get to LGS.

    Yup, I am moving to San Antonio the end of June. Can't wait. Found a decent gun forum for Texas. I plan on staying on this forum and helping out when I can. The other one is TGT Texas Gun Talk. Great bunch of guys and have specific forums for each area of Texas. ( Admin if this is against the rules, please delete.)

    I read somewhere that, because this happened in Texas Chipotles HAD to say no open carry because in Texas it's illegal to take a long gun into a place that sells alcohol. The "Mothers" are claiming victory but the chain did it to be compliant with state law.

    That said, these open carry clowns are making everyone look bad.

    I believe the rule in Texas is "any business that derives 51% of their profits from alcohol sales" Most chain restaurants you can carry in. This law is intended for local bars, etc.

    Good Luck in Tennessee!

     

    I am about a month away from my San Antonio move. I won't miss anyone on this forum, because i will still be on this forum. Great people, and i have learned so much from you guys. I will always be a part of this forum. I will miss SJSC though. From what I have seen in Texas, most of the ranges in Bexar county are not at the same level as the ranges in NJ. I hope I find one as nice as SJSC.

    Any thoughts on this 9mm? Made in Switzerland, imported by Kriss. I have heard good things about it, but have not seen one other than pictures. Any thoughts?
