Looking for a BCM lower, whether complete or stripped in NJ. Would rather buy from a stocking dealer than pay shipping and transfer fees. Has anyone seen one out there? My local shops don't stock BCM's and aren't taking special orders.

The bagels and pizza.
In all seriousness, the better half got her dream job and is required to be within 30 minutes of her job for being on call. Plus, family is here. Plus, the bagels and pizza. But mostly for her to be able to have her dream job.

I'll keep that in mind and will keep looking for earlier appointments! Appreciate the help!

Thanks Stu - this rental is is actually permanent... at least for the next 2-3 years. Can't see myself buying into New Jersey with the housing market the way it is right now.
I'll continue the process with the old ID. Can absolutely include a rental agreement and/or a utility bill for proof of address.
Appreciate the assistance!

Background: just moved to NJ. First available appointment for NJMVC for transfer of license from out of state is after Thanksgiving.
Can I apply for my NJ FPID with my old driver's license and new address? Or do I need to wait to receive my NJ Driver's License before applying, effectively adding 6 weeks to an already long and onerous process?
Based on the online application, I can use my out of state driver's license, but I don't want to submit in case it delays everything or gets me rejected.

And we have a gubernatorial election fast approaching. Be sure and get registered to vote.
Already registered. Glad I got in with enough time to vote against Murphy.

Thanks... I still have some freedom, but it's in storage over the border

Hi all, Tim here.
Not new to guns, or gun ownership in New Jersey, however, I last lived here back when 15 rounds weren't a felony.
Grew up in Morris County and bought my first gun at RTSP in Randolph. Moved to PA 6-1/2 years ago and recently moved back for work and family. Now, living not too far from RTSP in Union. Funny how things come full circle.
Working through getting my FPID up to speed with the new process. Hoping that I don't have to wait for my NJ DL to apply since NJMVC appointments for moving from out of state are ~8 weeks in the future.
Anyway, I've brought my 10-rounders back and am looking forward to getting more involved with the NJ 2A community again, but still will be active in the Eastern PA competition circuit shooting IDPA, ICORE, USPSA, Steel Challenge, and GSSF when they roll through town.

He's heard from many citizens around PA. I'm not concerned about this passing, but I'll be doing everything I can to make sure it doesn't.

Is the barrel shorter than 14.5 inches?
16" AR-15 upper with bayonet lug, threaded barrel, and flash hider.
2 hours ago, JohnnyB said:There is no law against having a non compliant upper in the PRNJ as long as you do NOT posses a lower or another
complete AR that you could use to make a complete rifle. You can have all the non compliant parts you want in NJ, Just don't have ALL the parts to make a non compliant rifle. (Called "Constructive intent")
This is my thought as well... however, a cop having a bad day could interpret this the wrong way, something I'd much rather avoid.

I will not have the lower until I'm back in PA. That is why I figured I was in the clear.

Pennsylvania resident here. Work in New Jersey. FFL in Easton, PA near Easton Fish & Game.
Got a great deal on an AR upper and lower from Palmetto State Armory this weekend. And a PSAK-47.
Here's the catch... they're shipping the upper to my house in PA. It is not NJ compliant and I have no intention of making it so.
(I already have a NJ compliant AR for when I do need to cross the border. I'd like to leave the remaining AR's fully featured.)
I'd like to toss my upper in the car, and stop by my FFL after work to pick up the firearms, so I can head to EFGA and zero both rifles.
At no point will I have a firearm in my car in New Jersey. Just an upper with a scary bayonet lug, evil threaded barrel, and satanic flash hider.
Is this legal? (I'm just spitballing here and will contact NJSP later in the week) Just wondering if anyone has had this conversation before.

Awesome... thanks for posting. I've seen specially made parts but never considered a clevis pin. Will definitely get one prior to my next build!

It's being shown at many Carmike theaters in Pennsylvania. I'll be going that night.

Get the 28" and buy an 18.5" barrel for home defense. This is what I did for years until I bought a dedicated home defense 870 (one of the 7-round Express Tactical models) on sale at Dick's.
That being said, the 2" shorter 26" won't do much good in a home defense situation unless you're only using it to shelter in place. No way you'll be able to move through your house with a 26" unless you're in a mansion or spend the entire time pointing the gun at the floor.

I'm halfway through it... a lot of data but a lot more readable than past books... written more for the layman than an economist.
Really sort of eye opening. I'll certainly be keeping this one as a reference in the future.

John and team-
I just want to say thank you for a great event this year. Many great speakers, many awesome vendors. Looking forward to next year.
And we surely know how to deal with adversity. Power goes out and 500 gun guys come to the rescue with flashlights and decide to continue on with the event.
Thanks again for all that you do for the NJ 2A community!

Found a fair deal on a G19 Gen 4; comes with XS night sights and blade tech IDPA gun and mag holster setup for 450$. 2 owners, about 1000 down range. I'll be the 3rd owner. Looks like its in good condition though.
Then I stand corrected. You'll be happy with that setup!
-
I shoot my G19 the most, but I shoot my PPQ better. Better trigger, better ergonomics, better everything. But I'll beat up the Glock since I mostly compete in GSSF these days.
-
I've been selling these for about two weeks now. The spring is from a G19 and won't give enough tension if the block is removed.
Besides, these are manufactured and sold as 15 rounders. If someone took out the block, they are altering them from the original design and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
I would agree, I'm not concerned. Just wanted to give others a heads up.
-
So will I be able to put a competition basepad on the mags? Looks like it.

Identical to a G17 externally, G19 internally. Should have no issues.
-
So how are they blocked? Might need to pick up a few.
Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk
Pulled one apart... there's an extra piece in there.
Mag on the left is the G17 15-round, mag on the right is G19. Internally, it appears to be identical to a G19 once the block is added.
Not sure how these will count as permanently modified, however, if you take the block out the spring is not long enough to have enough tension to operate.

I've been harassing retailers and whatnot for a while with this part number, but no no avail. Midway is the first that I've seen them (hopefully that means they'll be turning up at retail soon!)
Any FFL's in NJ Stocking BCM Lowers?

They do pop up from time to time on Brownell's... just really hoping to avoid the ridiculous transfer fees by grabbing something in stock. It's not a rush.
