I would've shot at my port neighbor's target lol

Shitty pro tip. If the instructors are only counting misses at the very end, theoretically you could just miss the entire paper and score a 100%.

Have that but 1.0. Throw in the magguts +1 (or +2) kit and get that extra round or two in there!

14 hours ago, samiam said:I scheduled an IdenTOGO appointment for 9:20 AM Monday, August 15, in Ardmore. The sign-up was "interesting". I had previously scheduled an appointment with a Contributor Case Number of "SMITH080122" (not my actual surname on the presumption of passing my FMJ qual on 7/30, which appointment I subsequently cancelled. Apparently IdenTOGO's system stored some of the infomation I had entered, because, after navigating to the link furnished by NJSP Woodbine
https://unenroll.identogo.com/workflows/2F164B
it came up with the originating agency # for Woodbine NJSP, as previously entered, and it did not prompt me for Contributor Case Number. I assume it picked up the CCN that I previously entered. I will contact IdenTOGO today to see if it can be changed. If not, I'm not terribly worried. I had asked the Woodbine NJSP staff how the would handle the conflict if two applicants named "SMITH" submitted on the same day. They told me that it shouldn't be a problem, and that if there was any difficulty with the CCN, they would call me at the phone number listed on my application to resolve it. I guess if some PD is looking for any excuse to reject or delay, a CCN error like that might provide the excuse, but my read on the two guys I spoke to is that they just want these documents off their desk(s) and on to the next processing step as quickly as possible.
I did this too. Once you get through to someone there, they will re-register you using the contributor case number you want. It was very quick, probably 10 minutes total including hold time.

How much are the S&T classes?

Just met up with Jeff yesterday. Really cool guy and a quick transfer process. He also catered to my evening hours so that was a huge plus. Can't wait to deal with him again! Email is definitely the best way to reach him.

Fair Lawn
1 P2P
4/5: Drop off paperwork with reference forms already signed by references (something Fair Lawn just started doing which apparently is incorrect but it does speed up the process)
4/13: Just received a call that they are ready to pick up

Hope to meet some guys at the next one on the 23rd! It'll be my first one. Anyone need to know what time I should arrive as a first timer?

Welcome, neighbor!

So fucking stupid.

Wait your line access went from $40 to $20 per SMART phone? I have to double check. I switched to the new ones b/c it's more data that we need (+ rollover) but I didn't see a change in line access.

Oh, cool; good info guys. In that case, going to try to clear the schedule before reg closes tomorrow. Also, thanks for the generous offer, louu!
I don't suppose you can use a chest rig for these events, can you? Embarassingly enough, I have a Condor chest rig that someone gifted me last xmas.

Damn, wish I could make this one but only saw this now & don't have any mag pouches. For next time, what kind of mag holsters are you guys running? I need to pick some up.

Dave Castro, the Director of CF games, is a retired Navy Seal & avid gun supporter so I think it's pretty great. Obviously, all the hoplophobes are flipping shit about it. There's even a protest today at Reebok Crossfit NYC. Unfortunately, Reebok already came out and said they don't support the decision so no help for us there.
All the usual suspects are protesting today but we'll see who will actually show up in this blistering heat.

Anyone know if the ACT ones are actually any good?
One of the 4 I purchased can fit an extra. I have to contact them about it.
-
Bought a few of the ACT 15 rounders for my M&P 9 from Greg Cote and tested them out at the range. Suitable for the range.
Note, one of them may or may not have been able to hold an extra round.

Still haven't used the genny I just picked up a few months back, but how do you guys protect yours from the elements? I have an EZ up tent I could probably rig but this storm is causing some serious gusts.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS or “the Department”) is issuing this final rule to modify the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Privacy Rule to expressly permit certain HIPAA covered entities to disclose to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) the identities of individuals who are subject to a Federal “mental health prohibitor” that disqualifies them from shipping, transporting, possessing, or receiving a firearm.
And of course no mention as to what that "mental health prohibitor" is. Terrorist watch list 2.0.

Wifey got me an M&P Apex aluminum trigger & FSS kit. Now I need to find someone to install it. Anyone got a reco in Bergen or NNJ?
Also, she gave me the go-ahead for something from Tactical Walls, but I'm still deciding on that one.
