  1. Well what about this? http://2aarms.com/2nd-amendment-arms
  2. http://slickdeals.net/f/7957063-gun-anderson-arms-ar-upper-lower-and-bcg-140-free-shipping I don't know crap about ARs but thought I'd share this as it seems to be a popular deal.
  3. I spoke to DNZ they told me medium would be fine and I'd like my scope low to my barrel. The high was already on its way so I will have both in hand to try out.
  4. Hi Gents I'm a newbie shooter. Very very green in fact I've looking for some instruction. But that aside, I'm trying to understand how to calculate the proper height for a mount on my new 243 Win. I got a Savage 10 Predator Hunter and a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 FFP Milhash scope. I found all the specs on the Sightron. The diameter of the scope is 2.28". The Savage is now the problem. I can't find any specs on it. How am I supposed to know the drop from the action to barrel? I want a DNZ GameReaper mount because I'm a newbie and frankly I think even if I wasn't they just make sense. The place I got the scope from recommended a "high" DNZ mount. The short action Savage DNZ mounts are low .92″, medium 1.05″, and high 1.17″. My gut is the high mount is too high. If I assume even just a .25" drop from the top of the action to the barrel by my calculation. I used this site to calculate: http://www.mil-rad.com/scope_ring_calculator. Anyone have any insights? Thanks Sam
  5. You got interest and I PM'd you but you went radio silent on us. Is this still a possibility?
  6. I see your last class was in May and the next class isn't until November. That's quite a ways off for me. Are you planning on having anything in between? Also yes any 200+ yards recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Hi Gene... Who is we? Mobile views don't show user details.
  8. Appleseed seems good but I have to get a full weekend away from the family which is a difficult maneuver. I know NRA Basic Rifle is offered pretty commonly. I just thought that might not be enough. So even if I do that I would like some additional help. Only thing I found outside of the above two suggestions was Griffin & Howe and that's mighty pricey.
  9. I just had another look. I was right. Much more handgun and tactical focused courses.
  10. I looked through their courses before. I didn't think they had much in terms of rifles. I'll look again.
  11. Hello I'm a fairly new shooter and rather than start off just firing away, I was hoping to find (reasonably priced) rifle instruction. Does anyone know of any classes or instructors in the North Jersey area? Central Jersey is fine too. My home range is Cherry Ridge but I live in Bergen County. As an aside I have a NM elk hunt coming up at the end of the year so I expect 300-400 yard shots thus I need to get started right fast. Thanks Sam
  12. Maybe it falls under some non-taxable item clause since it could be considered safety equipment? God knows. But certainly Amazon charges tax where appropriate as Golf battery said.
  13. Dude. Amazon has a facility in NJ and charges tax. That's been since July of 2013. Look it up. Repeating yourself doesn't change this. http://www.northjersey.com/mobile/news/amazon-set-to-collect-sales-tax-in-nj-starting-july-1-1.704118?page=all
  14. Gotcha but that could also be a function the refresh. Amazon has some funny business practices with regards to this stuff. Either way I'm glad it worked out for you.
  15. This has nothing to do with cookies. Amazon sometimes show other retailers prices to ensure their third party markets get some sales. Just look on the right if you see it as $50. You'll see a sold by Amazon link for $35 instead.
  16. Oh by the way, I think I know why you think it's dead... look on the right side, there is a sold by amazon link that's $35. Don't buy it from the other retailers who are charging more.
  17. for anyone looking to buy it off Amazon (remember there is tax), they now have it for $35 https://www.amazon.com/Howard-Leight-R-01526-Electronic-Earmuff/dp/B001T7QJ9O/ref=as_sl_pc_ss_til?tag=hobbytually-20&linkCode=w01&linkId=FEXFRVDV7R36VCPA&creativeASIN=B001T7QJ9O
  18. http://www.njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/73633-Howard-Leight-Impact-Sport-for-%2435 Amazon charges tax
  19. Glad to help. These are great but be aware the muffs need to be replaced every so often.
  20. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Howard-Leight-Impact8482-Sport-Earmuff/708113.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dhoward%2Bleight%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=howard+leight&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products&WT.mc_id=ir10451&WT.tsrc=AFF&rid=10 Now that's a deal. Use the 4WINTER for free shipping.
  21. They told me they had a third of the gun sales they had last year. Less fear of Obama regulations?
