  1. Is there any more information on this? I'd be happy to go there instead of Easton since I'm in Bridgewater.
  2. I live in Bridgewater, I'd pop down to Edison all the time to shoot if you opened one. I'd consider investing in one, too.
  3. Bridgewater's PD is fast compared to the rest. Though, they are a pro 2A station. I've talked to a few of the guys that even said the 15 round cap is bogus as is all the other laws on the books that criminals don't follow. I believe my last three P2P took about a month and even that was due to a form I forgot to fill out. But they mailed it to me to complete as they continued the work. It probably helps that I get something every couple of months so they have a file on me, I'm sure.
  4. Finances . I will have both. It just will be spread over time.
  5. The Henry looks really nice. I always liked the style of that gun. That being said, the price is steeper than I thought it would be. I might have to get that AR instead to start. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
  6. I asked if there was a waiting list and they said no... Is there one?
  7. The point is that there are local residents that would like the opportunity to join. Raise the dues, whatever. Just give us a chance to join. The money infusion can be used to upgrade whatever is needed, too. You know that most gun people are very friendly and willing to go above and beyond.
  8. Hello everyone. I actually joined to find out about the SCFGPA range and the lack of membership opens, but I forgot to post an intro thread. So here it is. I'm a hangun person and need more range time to hone in my skills. It's just hard finding the time to venture off after work or on the weekends when the available ranges are far. I'm also appalled at the treatment we get in NJ. I don't understand how the FID process is constitutional. The fact that I'm written down in a book every time I buy ammo is just wrong. Will things change? Probably not with the amount of crazies in the state government... but it'll just drive people like me out of the state, eventually. That and the taxes. Anyway. Hello!
  9. Well, it's between that and a new AR... but I'm more of a handgun person, so I'll probably stick with the cowboy action gun for now. Does anyone have any recommendations on one that takes cheap ammo? I've standardized on 38spl, 9mm, and 45 auto. I know I might be crazy, but it would be really nice to find a gun that can take any of these types of ammo so I don't have to buy yet another pile of ammo type. Brand doesn't really matter, but it would be nice to get American, obviously.
  10. I was in Lou's picking up my LC9s and mentioned the same in the shop. Both guys there also complained that they tried to join and couldn't. Seriously, they need to really open the range up to local people, especially ones that support the area. sota, I may take you up on that offer if it stands. I'm on Vroom Dr, by the way.
  11. Hey everyone. First time post, but I've been lurking for years. I'm currently a member of the Heritage Guild and use their Easton range for shooting and ammo, etc... Recently, I've started purchasing from Lou's in Raritan (better prices and better service). I'm waiting for my LC9s to come in. I live less than a mile from Somerset County Fishing and Game range and ever since I've tried, membership has been closed for years. I've followed up every year (every 3 months, usually), to check and it is still closed for membership. Does anyone have any information about the range or would someone consider bringing a guest along once in awhile? Going to Easton is a pain when I just want to have some fun one afternoon. Is anyone a member?
