  1. With everyone I talked to saying what a bad job Murphy has done with not just the virus but in general. He's still getting positive approval ratings. Just how can any R expect to win when all the polls will say is how well Murphy did running the state. We couldn't even get a good showing to impeach him. Say what you will but the D machine is well oiled here.

  2. How do you tell the difference between a Canadian Police Officer, an Australian Police Officer, an American Police Officer and a Scottish Police Officer?
    Consider this test scenario:
    QUESTION:
You're a policeman, on duty by yourself.
You are walking on a deserted street late at night.
Suddenly, an armed man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams something that sounds like obscenities, raises the knife and lunges at youYou are carrying your truncheon and are an expert in using it. However, you have only a split second to react before he reaches you.
    What do you do?

    ANSWERS:
    Canadian Police Officer
Firstly, the Officer must consider the man's human rights.
    1) Does the man look poor and/or oppressed?
    2) Is he newly arrived in this country and does not yet understand the law?3) Is this really a knife or a ceremonial dagger?
    4) Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
    5) Am I dressed provocatively?
    6) Could I run away?
    7) Could I possibly swing my truncheon and knock the knife out of his hand?
    8) Should I try and negotiate with him to discuss his wrong-doings?
    9) Why am I carrying a truncheon anyway and what kind of message does this send to society?
    10) Does he definitely want to kill me or would he be content just to wound me?
    11) If I were to grab his knees and hold on, would he still want to stab and kill me?
    12) If I raise my truncheon and he turns and runs away, do I get blamed if he falls over, knocks his head and kills himself?
    13) If I hurt him and lose the subsequent court case, does he have the opportunity to sue me, cost me my job, my credibility and the loss of my family home?

    Australian Police Officer:
    BANG !

    American Police Officer:
    BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG !
    'Click'...Reload...   BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG ! BANG !

    Glasgow Police Officer:
"Haw, Jimmie....! Drop the wee knifie reight noo, unless ye want it stuck up yer arse!

Another thing I forgot to ask, has anyone had their mags "examined" by a RSO or any LEO when at the range to make sure they were 10 rounders, since the law was changed, or know of someone else who has?

At least the RSOs I know might say something if you peeled off 30 quick ones. I'd worry more about a "Karen"  making an issue. The RSO would then almost have to do something.

Remember, stupid is as stupid does.

I think some of you guys worry wwaaayyyyy too much about magazines. Remember, we had decades of larger cap mags neutered down to 15 rounds in larger bodies, and it never was an issue. I really doubt having larger bodies neutered to 10 rounds is any different.

No one will be examining epoxy, rivets, blockers, base plates, springs, etc.

Also, like I mentioned above, the 10 round law went into effect October 2018, 2-1/2 years ago. You think 10+ round mags haven't gone to the ranges since that time? Has anyone heard of someone getting busted for it?

My advice, stop worrying and go shoot what you got... The ATF has a lot larger fish to fry then worrying about mag bodies.

    This^^^

I think if they're looking at your mags..You have bigger issues to worry about.

  5. You may not understand this unless you have studied Physics, but do not be dissuaded and please continue to read to the end

    Here’s the math....

And that's your Physics Lesson for Today.

[Now imagine if this is how they started teaching us Physics way back in High School; I'm sure there would be a couple of 'Nobel Prizes' among us !].

    that couldn't have been fun.

i've got my 78 futura sitting on the rollback waiting for me to have time to put the new fuel tank in it...........

It's starting to be a money pit now. Labor of love I guess. Have fun.

  7. Any refer/AC shop could silver solder it up. Maybe even a radiator shop. An old plumber that still remembers how to solder can use Stay Brite. Might not do well over an open fire though unless the holes kept under water.

This is what I have. I only tried it once and for only a few mags. It did not cycle well but I also did not lube it and it probably needs to be broken in a bit. I've heard very good reviews of the CMMG conversion kit.

    "It did not cycle well"

Could be just needs to be broken in. What brand 22lr are you using? While my DPMS dedicated 22lr upper eats almost anything, it runs best on CCI mini mags.  Mini mags are the gold standard. I gave away a box of Remington .22lrs they cycled so badly. So try different brands to find what cycles best in your gun. The mag can also be an issue. My buddies CMMG conversion would stove pipe with one of his mags. I swapped mags with him and it went away. Never had a  problem with his mag in my rifle.   Oh...and lube it up some.
