If you have an interest in World War One you might find the NJACC meeting scheduled for Feb 18th right up your alley. Guest fee is $5 for non members. We plan to have an extensive display of Doughboy, French, and British equipment and weapons. Sandwiches and soda are also for sale if you need to skip dinner to get to Kenilworth. Our meetings are normally suitable for the whole family but this presentation will include some material that was suppressed during and after the war concerning french women and allied soldiers. Also you will get a chance to hear the actual lyrics of Mademoiselle from Armentieres that were locked up in the Library of Congress Folk song collection for many years for being crude and salacious. For more information go to www.njacc.info ; Stanley Gurski [email protected]

Just finished American Guns by Sniper Chris Kyle. It is an excellent read. Lots of backstory to the history of the USA in 10 guns. He elaborates on their origins and derivatives. He also tells entertaining stories about their uses in battle. Some of the stories we know well but he manages a unique fact or twist to it. He also explains the firearms that either preceded or came after the subject gun and the impact in design related to them. Very vivid and flowing writing style makes this a must read for gun guys... I certainly recommend it for the treestand or in between reloading sessions...
