I had the same thought of applying prior to NJ circumventing any decision in our favor. But the decision may come months after the case is heard, so what would you think would be a good time-line for applying? Amazing that 2 other states treat me better as a non-resident.

I admit not reading through this complete thread, but has anyone seen a reliable source commenting on what a favorable court decision in the NY case mean for New Gulag Jersey?

Cash only available in the "Garden Spots" of the Garden State it seems.

I would call Shooters first before going there, they stopped renting guns during the pandemic and I haven't looked at that case in some time when I go to the range.

I gave up on this project for now, made some other firearm purchase that ate up that budget LOL. Thanks

I received my fingerprint cards from FDACS in 12 days and had 2 sets of inked prints done at Lacey Township, no cost, walk-in, no appointment needed but I called ahead to ask about best time to go in. Very friendly staff on the phone & in person especially the young officer who actually did the prints. Mailed my application this morning.

I had a reply from the Lacey Township PD and they will do inked prints if you supply the cards. I submitted a request for them from Florida and was notified robo-style they received my order and should be in hand in about 10 days.

Does anyone know an Ocean county LE department that will do fingerprints? I called Manchester and they said Indetogo in Brick, but that phone number is their national registry and I was told Brick does not offer that service, nearest they said was Oakhurst in Monmouth County.

I have the basic cert. and application form needed for Florida. Does anyone know where I can get the CCW packet and qualifying needed done in Ocean or Monmouth county?
-
What scores does the live fire part of the Florida license course require for qualification? Is the applicant limited to the gun they qualify with?

I saw those on EBay as well, 7&10’s but will wait for the 8’s. I only want 1-2 as I do not carry or anticipate hordes of intruders anytime soon.

The Ruger has been traded deal reached off site in person, no longer available.
-
I will also consider trades for the LCPII. Factory ammo, 9mm or .45 FMJ, no Russian brands. Prefer Norma, Winchester, Federal or Fiocchi.
-
Low round count excellent condition Ruger LCPII .380 with or without the LaserMax Gripsense green laser. One factory 7 round mag, one 6 round. I gave the holster away and bought a soft Ruger case. The box and manuals, original receipts for dates on hand. Ocean County/Toms River area FFL are preferred. $375 with the laser or $325 without. First “I’ll take it” by permit holders wins.

GunMag warehouse, I got KCI 8 rounders for less than $12 ea for my .45 Ronin

I've used yellow on hazy days for trap, prefer clear indoors , lt gray or clear for any outdoor benchrest i do under a canopy
-
The Huntersgold looked promising until you find out they don't offer a clear lens choice.

I have the Wiley X Saber Advanced with clear, yellow & gray lenses, plus my Rx insert. I can highly recommend them, very modular and comfortable. Not the least expensive, but I needed ones that I could use with the insert for distance shooting. Weber's 3 lens set I used to have were excellent as well, and only about $20 on Amazon.

On 12/18/2020 at 10:03 PM, SJG said:There is no such thing as a Florida Non-Resident CCP. Fl only issues one type permit and no longer distinguishes on the permit between resident or non resident. The application for the permit simply asks for your address and it does not matter if you are in or outside the State of Florida. As a shall issue state, if your prints confirm no criminal convictions and you take the Fl CWC course, or have alternative qualification credentials you are good to go. The Fl course is offered at many ranges in N.J. The Fl CCP only authorizes you to carry in Fl and in States which grant reciprocity(N.J. not being one of them), it does not authorize you to use the firearm and your right to use it is governed by the criminal laws in Florida and if you are in a reciprocity State, the criminal laws in that State. All of the details are posted on the internet under Fl Dept of Agriculture.
Many of the states that recognize the Florida permit while traveling for RESIDENTS, they never allowed for non-resident carry. Does anyone know if that changed as well? If so, it's worth getting, if not it only pays to have one if you spend a lot of time in Florida. I'm considering one now with travel bans being lifted.

Mine runs fine with 36 grr Armscor CPHP, Norma 40 gr LRN, and 40 gr CCI MiniMags CPRN. Early extraction problems but American Tactical resolved & returned in a week. Well over 500 rounds since with occasional FTF, ammo not the gun.

I have the Firefly, non-threaded. But the threaded comes with a thread protector which has to be removed to field strip it for cleaning. Nothing more than an extra step in the process. I guess you know it is the same gun that was once sold as Sig's Mosquito, GSG had the contract to produce them for Sig. I really like mine, take it every time I go to the range with one of my 9's. Great way to wind down a session.

35 days since they received my application, Online status reads initial review complete and says its incomplete and letter will follow...no mention about photos or blurred prints so who knows what that means. Wish they just e-mailed me about what they need.
