  1. Well, I've seen enough. As a long-standing member of the NJCSD, I thought when I found this site that it would be yet another opportunity to make an effort to impact on New Jersey's draconian gun laws and find kindred spirits in the Rights Fight here. I haven't participated much, but I have been reading and hanging around, and it appears I was mistaken. NJ Gun Forums is a fine site and serves its members, but basically amounts to just another gun enthusiasts club, not any potential player in the future of Gun Rights and Gun Owners Rights in New Jersey. This latest dialog with NJCSD Admin - which I didn't know about until I saw it here - pretty much proves it. I don't think anybody's asking you to pull the damn train...but how about just getting on board?

Doesn't matter...we'll do what we can with the resources we're provided, and you're welcome to jump in. God knows we can use the numbers! I suppose not everyone can be an 'activist', even a passive one, but there's certainly value in having someone else actually ready to carry the water if you don't want to, while still making sure some of yours is in the bucket, too.

Anyway, I'm sure - in fact, I guarantee! - that you'd be welcome at NJCSD if you want to participate in the 'activist' side, and you can still retain your position here to exercise your desire to hang with other folks in a "gun club" atmosphere. There's room for both. But we could sure use your support over there, too. And if you like, you can find me there, under this same name. I'd love to hear from you.

    Best to all you guys!

Does NJCSD realize that they are becoming the party that makes all gun owners look like nut jobs? I am all for the 2a and reasonable gun control, ie criminal checks, FID card, mental history checks, but also believe in no permits, no limits to firearms...... the tacticts some people use is no better than the obama scare tactics, is it that hard to just ask for help?

  2. I really shocked my best friend when I told him I am applying for an FID. Avid Obama supporter, was wondering why i was prepparing for civil war. lol. but slowly he is coming around to it, and even asked me to take him to the range.

Anyone have any stories like this?

Does your extended fam, best friend, close relatives know you own firearms?

  3. As a new firearms owner I have to say, this sets everyone's image back.

I am around his age, and anyone who read this story, will not look at anyone else the same way at other young guys himself. To the greater extent, its like what many people do after any bad events, a pitbull bit a girl, that means all pitbulls are bad, a young driver caused an accident, all young driver are bad.

  4. It is my undersanding that Gun Counter employees from Harry's bought the store. So if they have the same staff selling guns, yes they would be rude and arrogant.

that is correct. I believe one of the former employees and a few others decided to buy out Harry's gun department. The employees came over from there.

The employees there, I find are hit or miss. There is a younger guy there that is a top notch, LEO? another one or two middleage gentleman are good. Also ran into a few there that didnt really know much... but at least they admitted it. :?

  5. Where....Where.....Where????

I love them. One of the slimmest double stack 9mm ever made. Great shooters... it has two modes of fire,

Duel Mode: Pistol/Revolver by a turn of a screw. BTW, the mag has a protrusion at the base to act as a screwdriver.

R mode, you get a DA trigger where the hammer was always at rest after firing. Chamber a rd and you

  6. I would prices on ammo were higher. Rifles... anything that looks like an assult rifle, they will charget what they can get. Handgun prices are equal to, or slightly less than Sportsmen's.

I think the staff there today was a little eh. There are a few guys there that really know their stuff, and a few questions that I asked that were very specific, they told me they did not know.

  7. All you need now is your kid's friends to come in and help out.

Do you buy your reloading components online or in store?

I am really considering reloading, if it will help me bring the cost of ammo down on the bigger calibers... might pick up my brother's Desert Eagle .44mag and I think he has an XD in 45gap that he doesnt shoot...

Anyone reload anything in that caliber?
