But as far as a restraining order.... someone cant just "get one" put on someone because they dont like them. There has to be a significant reason and some proof behind it. And if there is enough cause for a restraining order to be granted... then yea that is enough cause to keep someone from passing a background check and probably rightfully so.
I will dispute this. I know someone whose wife sought a divorce and a substantial settlement. Her shyster had her file for a restraining order. This guy never threatened her or caused any situation that would prompt that. I've know him for years. That wouldn't be his way. It was a legal tactic. She said that she "felt" threatened. She got the order. He could only see his kids under supervision.

No, but I've seen some cops so the statement stands.

How lazy or stupid do you have to be not to be willing or able to clean anything as basically simple as a gun?

FWIW, my town has a leash law. No dogs allowed to roam free. It also has a pooper scooper law. If your dog drops it, you pick it up. That applies to public property only. A dog may not crap on private property, except the owners, even if the owner picks it up. If your town has these, and since you have video documentation, go to the cop shop and file a complaint. Let the dog owner explain it all to the judge.

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Goonie goo goo. All the majors, unless defective, an unlikely event, put out a shit storm of lead in the direction of the threat.

Drive like an adult, no RKBA stickers to draw attention, and you will have no issues.

Blah, blah, blah. The focus should be on Menendez' propensity for under age Dominican prostitutes.

Confused? That's an interesting euphemism for stupid. Darwin.

Likely just obstructionist tactics. The average IQ of the NJSP is unlikely to reach triple digits so they play the hand they have as dictated by their political masters in the legislature. They swear an oath to the Constitution but suck the schwazool of those who dispense pensions and benefits.

Opinions vary about Luciano's.

Bat house. Had one years ago. Not one bat ever seen coming or going.

It's just little Mikey Kelly again, singing his same old sad song, desperately trying to be relevant and not get sacked like the other second rate hacks there did. SSDD.
-
FWIW, if a body is not found in your home, how are you involved? The pig shit and fraidy scared little flits here are going to have trouble dealing with this, but reality is what it is. If you did the right thing, why would you let a hoplophobic prosecutor make his bones on you? Here in New Jerkoff, that is exactly what will happen.

ANY Democrat = 10 round limit. The malignant anal fissures control the Senate and Assembly and will likely continue to do so. When the governor is also a Dem, it will be a done deal.
The howling hounds from Hell like Weinberg will demand a 5 round limit but will likely not prevail at this time.
I've been fighting this battle since before the fetid stench Jimmy Florio and his butt boy Joey Mecca were on the scene and I'm more realistic about the situation than some of you newbies. This is Jersey and it is what it is.

Currently drive a '94 Camry with 49K on it. Second owner. Favorite car was a '67 Mustang fastback in metallic blue. Bought new and sold it in '68 when I got drafted. Least favorite was a '77 Buick Skylark that I inherited from an aunt.

2x yearly. I really don't hunt or shoot anymore so it is more of an inspection and lube check than anything else.

Man, things have changed.
When I got mine in the 70's, they sent you down the bock. If you made it back, you passed.
Took mine in '68 a week before the Army got me. Taught myself to ride on the way home from the cycle shop. When I finished the test I looked around for the inspector who was supposedly watching me. He was just coming out of the building with a fresh cup of coffee. He signed off and I was done.

I "believe" that you can only deduct that portion that is in excess of a certain percentage of your AGI. Not a CPA so wait for someone who knows to come along.

I bought a used car that had been parked in a very damp, partially below grade garage for over 20 years. The musty smell was very noticeable. Wiped down all the non-porous surfaces with ArmorAll then sprinkled baking soda all over the seats and carpet. Rubbed it in with a brush and let it sit overnight. Vacuumed it the next day. Big improvement, but it took driving with windows open as much as possible and a few more vacuumings to really clear it out.

We used Kaplan for my daughter and she picked up 90 points when the SATs went up to 1600. Money well spent.

FWIW, he should clean his guns in his own apartment. No reason to look for trouble. Too many hoplophobic aholes looking to create problems. BTDT.
-
....... just curious who treats their guns like a new car and who beats em. ....
I don't do either. You do the best you can but scratches and dings ARE going to happen. Obsessing over every little mark will just take the fun out of it.

FWIW, I've seen tests where the same round performed well in one test and poorly in another. It makes one suspicious of the testers or the test medium.

Agreed. Restraining orders, while valuable in some situations, are abused in many others by shysters looking for a leg up.
