  1. "Trust me, most Muslims want nothing to do with this garbage. But they have no more power to change it than you"

I think thats BS. Think democracy, think about Catholicism and then the offshoots... They can and choose not to because of fear and security and at worst politics and greed.

  2. and we do dont we... as a Roman Catholic I am disgusted by the previous and ongoing actions of the RCC. I hold all people that perform evil in the name of a religion responsible. NEVER EVER said I did.

And I dont hold all Muslims responsesible and never said I did... you are not reading. I question motives, guts and desire.

I have worked with many Muslims and have found them to be generally fantastic, yet they all have quibles also. Usually entitled, spoiled and weak.

  3. Alpo... basically WTF? Are you Muslim? Are you a theologist specializing in Inter-denominational discourse? I am sure you know much more then me about Muslim faith, differences and people that practice it. And your right a few extremists ruin it for the majority. But until the majority stands up and squashes the majority, I am skeptical of their intentions or intelligence.

As all religions do, if you want to attract followers shape the F^%& up.

  4. Actually, eveerytime that something happens and muslims are implicated, every major muslim org/mosque in the US and in the muslim world, publicly condems the perpetrators and their actions.

Also, all the major islamic scholarly orgs, conferences, etc. have issued fatwas (religious legal verdicts) categorically denouncing terrorism and the targeting of civilians.

Words dont mean SHIITE to Muslims. They can lie to anyone they want as long as they are doing it for their religion.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"

They all need to grow a set and stand up.

  5. i dont know... for a religion of peace and love, it sure does seem like there are an awful high percentage of it's followers that think their message is best delivered with explosives. Cant say I have heard of to many Sihks, Hindus, Rastafarians, Hebrews, Protestants, Voodooists... get the picture.

  6. It is only and infringement if it isn't constitutional. It is hard to argue that it would be unconstitutional. Look at is this way, should we look hypocritical fighting one part of the constitution while supporting the other, or should we shape the conversation by saying bring on the training requirements, as long as we get a say in those training requirements, we hear there is an organization dedicated to that called the NRA which might even give free one year memberships with every training class? Which one is the smarter play?

Trust me I can see the value-add here for a person like you, me or the rest of the membership here. Cost is a big sticking point with me. If the training req becomes cost prohibitive, then we are pushing out the financially constrained. If the training is excessive man hrs, then we are pushing out the working class. If the training is physically demanding, then we are pushing out the old or disabled. Mandates are rules and rules are for the stupid so they can manage others.

Personally, training is a no brainer, but it should be optional and that option should get us more freedom and leeway within the laws.

  7. I'm sorry I don't buy that line of reasoning. A training requirement is either constitutional or it isn't. Weather you carry a firearm outside the home or not, it will sometime leave going to a range or some other place to be fired for practice, potentially exposing other people to ineptitude. Even inside a home if used improperly it can affect your neighbors. As for how do you train without one, how does every new driver learn how to drive if they don't have a car? This is a problem we have a solution for, to say nothing that it would create opportunities for lots of small business trainers. Hey, it's a jobs program!

Understand what I'm saying, I rather there not be such a law, but I can't see how such a law would be unconstitutional and maybe we need to focus more on the laws that would be. By all means, we should oppose it, but let's not fall in the hypocrisy mindset we accuse the anti-gunners about. We can dislike firearms IDs but we can't then grumble about requiring voter IDs, we can't say that the militia is everyone in the 2A but the say that section 8 doesn't apply to everyone.

Vlad I am usually right there with you but I think your missing the boat on this. It is another infringement andI equate it to Obamacare... mandate that YOU have health care. Another Mandate... another rule to live under.

NOW I do believe in a training requirement to obtain a CCW. But then again... its NJ and that would never happen.

  8. The Saudi about to be deported is still a person of interest and is the renter of the apartment that was investigated. I personally dont think he will make the plane.

I think the bomb at finish line went off early, catching our bomber a little bit. They were both supposed to go off at same time or the finish line bomb later, as First Responders moved from security staging area towards the other bomb site further way.

Actually a pretty good read from the UK MailOnline

Is this one of our suspects...

  9. Rats are tougher then squirels you will find out, that is why .22lr is the ticket for rats. I cant take a squirel, bird or rabbit with a slingshot or pellet gun, but a rat is much, much more reilient.

But, in the house or yard areas a pellet rifle is what you need. I dont think the pistol would have the power needed @ 380fps.
