  1. To be clear - I didn't write that, just copy/pasted. Many more notes in this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/NJGuns/comments/10lzu8b/tro_hearing_notes_12623_koonssiegel_carry_lawsuit/
  2. It would be great if someone filed an Open Public Records Act once these cases are done to find out how much NJ spent in legal fees.
  3. This is interesting - NJ Legislators filing to intervene in Koons v. Reynolds: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.njd.506033/gov.uscourts.njd.506033.47.1.pdf My quick read of the filing - it's establishing the basis for them to file a brief in the case, but nothing else at this time. I'm wondering why they're choosing to do this instead of just relaying whatever it is they want to do through the NJAG lawyers? For the sound bites/clickbait headlines?
  4. NJ is stupid, but I don't think they're so stupid as to run an appeal of a Preliminary Injunction against A4769 up to SCOTUS.
  5. I'm thinking that none of the "Anti" states are going to want to appeal to SCOTUS if things don't go their way in the circuits. So if we get "Pro-2A" decisions in the circuit courts, that will likely be the end of the line for the anti states.
  6. [Sad Trombone noise] https://newjerseymonitor.com/2023/01/13/challenges-to-n-j-gun-law-consolidated-under-bush-appointee/
  7. The consolidation order is out from Judge Williams in the Siegel case: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.njd.506026/gov.uscourts.njd.506026.34.0.pdf
  8. Transcript from yesterday's hearing is available: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.njd.506033/gov.uscourts.njd.506033.42.1.pdf
  9. Must carry concealed currently. I don't think open carry is a legal option under the parts of A4769 that aren't currently TRO'd.
  10. Where can you currently possess a bump stock without fear of prosecution? Only in states covered by the 5th circuit.
  11. Bruen was a SCOTUS decision. The Delaware law is currently at a Federal district court. Similar to how the 5th circuit recently ruled that the bump stock ban is not enforceable, but that judgement is currently only effective in the states the 5th circuit covers.
  12. Because it was a Delaware law that was challenged and enjoined, not a NJ law.
  13. Won't know 100% until we have the transcript, but it's being reported as from today's hearing.
  14. Totally makes sense to me. (non-political take) Punt to the judge who has already done the work and issued an opinion on the majority of the issues. (political take) Punt to the judge who is apparently willing to stick their neck out on an unpopular issue, and get it off your future resume.
