Thanks for the tip. Do you the model of SS 5" Springfield? I might head over to BH tomorrow.

  2. I haven't played a video game in over a month, but I do play on xbox live occasionally. So I guess if that makes me a dorky gamer boy, what does having thousands of posts on online forums make you? :p

Makes me a gun forum junkie!

Anyway, I didn't mean any insult at all ... I play xbox (zombieland) ... well, enjoy the forum!

Thanks, but I am looking for a SS ... getting it from out of state adds to price, so I would prefer to buy locally. Also, I can see how it feels in the hand.

  4.

    Radek,

The mag pouches work well, as far as easy release yet secure carry. What is kind of a PITA is the paddle. Dependent on where you place it on your belt and your body type, whenever you sit down you may find the paddle digging in.

I have the same pouch and I just got an RSR/iTac belt attachment. It is adjustable for belt width and cant and just replaces the paddle via an allen screw and allows you to thread your belt through it. I also have some smaller single mag pouches with much smaller paddles which work fine because they are usually positioned at 9 o'oclock or further rearward. The double pouch is my primary.

Got the belt attachment on eBay. You can find a lot of RSR equipment on there.

    Adios,

    Pizza Bob

You are right, paddle is a bit too tall. I will look up the RSR/iTac belt attachment. Thanks for the tip.

  5. Just so some of you don't get into stupid debates and get your panties in a knot ...

I am fully aware of the bear and Bambi menace in NJ.

I don't think NJ is a wild enough with an open space in the country (compared to other parts of USA) to hunt. This state is the most populous state next to NYC (compared to NY state as a whole). Duh. Why don't you hunt some place else?

Given the stupid sprawl of people (in this state) and their ideas, if a bear threatens a human, kill it, but be responsible in what you do.

Be responsible to the environment and the bear (which will be dead) without being selfish for sake of a prey in a hunt. Is that much to ask?

You will know when to shoot when threatened, but do you know when to shoot for fun?

  6. Mine stems from element 116 (actually it is a lab created unstable isotope), known as Ununhexium. As it isn't an official element it hasn't yet been named. It it was, it would possibly be called Bonesinium, a much better name.

This is what I have been telling people it means for about 6 years now.

In truth, I was very skinny in high school. One of my hockey teammates came up with the nickname of Bones. It stuck and I was called that all through high school by classmates, teachers, and coaches. I began using it as a gamer-tag while playing video games online. It however was too common. I must have been doing something science related when I came up with Bonesinium, but that is what I came up with, and have been using the above story as an explanation for it. 6 years later I still use it as a gamer-tag and on forums...

So, you are a dorky gamer boy!? an honest explanation is good though ...

  7. I want to try this out, but timing is bad, so have questions. I have no experience in competitive shooting, so advice is greatly appreciated. btw. I live in Woodbridge, 07095.

What are the requirements to participate?

    • Handgun type/caliber that make most sense (see below)?
    • # of mags needed
    • # of rounds needed

I have a regular belt (not fancy). I have the following handguns I recently bought, but haven't had a chance to shoot yet ... so, I would be going on a limb, but what the hey.

FNH BHP 9mm (no holster, but have 2 double mag pouches, 5+ mags)

SIG PRO 2022 9mm (have holster and 2 double mag pouches, 5+ mags)

SIG P220 45acp (no holster, but have 1 mag pouch and only 2 mags)

I need to go to a indoor / outdoor range to practice with the new/used guns ...

  8. I was calling some horrible driver a crackaloon and realized that it wouldn't be completely off base to be called a crackaloon myself. Other drivers are usually called much worse, and I'm sure I am too, but I'm good with this one.

Because you ride a MC! I too drive a car as if it's a MC and scares the sh*t out of people ...:icon_mrgreen:

  9. Can you make out the difference between the two mag pouches? There is none ... except the one on right is SIG SAUER branded and cost me twice as much (both pouches are identical in every respect!). These mag pouches are for single stack 45acp (for my SIG P220).

Same mags as above. Mags are for over belt / inside pants type, but they seem to work with a 1.5" belt as well with the curved flap outside the pants ... will have to see how this works in practice.

    DSC00002.jpg

For SIG PRO 2022, I have total 6 mags (4 x 15rd seen here). Got the holster from SIG store.

    Clearer pic of the holster.

For my FNH BHP. Mag pouches are for double stack 9mm. Same mag pouches work for SIG PRO 2022 mags, but needs slight adjustment for proper fit, so need to get a separate pair/set.

  10. Nj = new jersey

Budman = I use to drink alot of budweiser

    81= year of my birth

I haven't drank bud in a couple years but the screen name has been in use to years on many diff forums so why change it.

What's Shawnmoore ... got to do with NJ or drinking beer? Oh, now I get it ...:icon_mrgreen:

  11. I'm a little late to the party on this one, but you might want to check out the Fat Zombie from Jones Tactical . I've been using one daily for a duty belt for about a year now and it's still basically new. It's a great design; hell for stout, solid and still very comfortable. I really can't say enough good things about it...

Wouldn't a 1.5" belt be better to accommodate standard holsters, pouches, etc.?
