  1. I have closed on my house in the Tampa area, and my house in NJ is under contract. Am purging and tossing stuff out left and right. Selling anything I can get money for. I am planning on shipping most of my gun related stuff, will be selling a few things, probably. I will not be going on a buying binge anytime soon, I have other expenses to take care of first. Maybe a Christmas M1 carbine with 30 round mags. I already have a place to stop in NC for the final drive down, so what I don't ship will be OK. I am too far south to go on 81, which is a nice rid, but I I have shit to do and my stop in NC is far to the east. NJ is in the crapper and circling the bowl for a lot of reasons. Good luck if you stay, it will soon be District 12 to NY and Phila Liberals

Seriously! The phrase "loose lips sink ships" comes to mind. Why open up a can of worms?

People are dum. How many times has stuff been posted on here asking legal questions?  Seems to be younger people for the most part. Bad spelling and grammar, sharing too much information. Relying on the internet and media for information.

  3. Well, then all those state Government employees that voted for Democrats should be THRILLED! In fact all state employees  should be happy!  Next, if you are a state employee, you will be MICROCHIPPED like livestock. Then if you come withing 1000ft of a firearm or ammunition, you will be subject to disciplinary action. The telescreens installed in your home and workplace as a condition of getting a fat state pension are there for you protection.

Finally, as members of the outer party, you chocolate ration will be increased to 25 grammes a day!  Praise Big Brother!

If it's the same group managing it as Shooter's World, Tampa, it's pretty good. I was a member of the Tampa facility (located at Fletcher and Florida Avenues). They have both 25 and 100 yard ranges and a plethora of inventory for sale.

    I highly recommend them.

SW will be the closest to where I will be. Where do you go for outdoor range? Thee;s Henando Sportmen's club, in Pasco, Wyoming Antelope club in Pinellas, and Manatee gun club in Manatee, that I have seen so far

Saw these on Reddit, anyone hear about these 4 new proposed laws?

A3697 would make the state's 'assault' weapon ban even more restrictive.

    http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/A4000/3697_I1.HTM

A3708 would give first priority for firearm purchase cards and carry permits to those that are under the protection of a restraining order

    http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/A4000/3708_I1.HTM

A3730 would define 'reasonably necessary deviations' for transporting a firearm in a motor vehicle

    http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/A4000/3730_I1.HTM

S2323 would require anyone wishing to use a firearm at a range to have a firearm purchase indemnification card

    http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S2500/2323_I1.HTM

Looks like the Dems are throwing EVERYTHING at the wall, trying to get something to stick!

Remember, they PERSONALLY HATE YOU and WANT YOU DEAD because you lawfully own guns in NJ

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is the highest federal court of the United States. Established in 1789, pursuant to Article Three of the United States Constitution.  It has ultimate and essentially largely discretionary appellate jurisdiction over all federal courts and state court cases involving issues of federal law plus original jurisdiction over a small range of cases. In United States legal system the Court is charged with ensuring the American people the promise of equal justice under law.  The Supreme Court is generally the final arbiter of the law and functions as the guardian and interpreter of federal law including the United States Constitution, but it may act only within the context of a case in which it has jurisdiction.

The complex role of the Supreme Court in this system derives from its authority to invalidate legislation or executive actions which, in the Court’s considered judgment, conflict with the Constitution. This power of "judicial review" has given the Court a crucial responsibility in assuring individual rights, as well as in maintaining a "living Constitution" whose broad provisions are continually applied to complicated new situations.

Unlike the black & white / absolutist opinions expressed by some here, I am not naïve and recognize and accept that each of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices will interpret the law and Constitution based on their education and work/life experiences and exposure to those who are not from the same class or “tribe”.  I also am fully aware that there is a major difference of opinion on how the U.S. Constitution should be interpreted by the Justices.  That division of opinion is based on multiple factors involving different demographic groups including taking into account one’s: political beliefs and ideology, level of formal education, race, age, gender and religious affiliation.

According to a 2014 poll conducted by the Pew Research Center, they found that about half of the public (49%) say the decisions of the Supreme Court should be based on its understanding of what the Constitution “means in current times,” (modernist) while roughly as many (46%) say decisions should be based on what the Constitution “meant as it was originally written” (originalist).  Here is a synopsis of the findings of that Pew study and what each group was sympathetic to listed by percentages:

    Group                                        Modernist          Originalist

    Democrats                                 70%                     26%
    Republicans
    29%                     69%
    Post-Graduate Degree Education    62%
    High School Only Graduates            46%
    49%
    Whites                                               44%
    African Americans
    61%
    Hispanics
    61%
    White Evangelical Protestants                                73%
    White Mainline Protestants                                     44%
    Catholics                                                                 42%
    Black Protestants                                                    37%
    Traditional Religiously Unaffiliated
    63%              34%

These differing views of how the court should interpret the Constitution may account for some of the partisan differences in opinions of the court itself seen in over the past 20+ years.  So ultimately, the U.S. Constitution means what the Supreme Court Justices says it means based on each of their interpretation.

More cut and paste propaganda, from whatever Shareblue/OFA/MDA talking points came out yesterday. Your fraud has long since been exposed.  Only a brainless college sophomore would agree with any of this drivel.

  7. The first batch was what they were going to do anyway, when Murphy got elected by illegal aliens and liberals. Some of whom post on this very board. Now this is the latest demanded by Bloomberg the Nazi. After all these, they will look to out-do California in bans and ammo sales checks. As a final present to Loretta Weinberg before she leaves this mortal coil, smart guns will be required and only permitted to be sold.

  8. Specifically a couple I have looked at on the interwebs so far, as my upcoming move gets closer. Anyone have feedback on these? NJ escapees in the Tampa area?

    1. Shooters world--looks nice, but indoor only. Do they allow steel core ammo or must you buy their ammo?

    2. Manatee gun club--far away from where I will be living, but looks like it has the most facilities

    3. Hernando Sportsmen's club--closer to where I am than #2

    4. Wyoming Antelope club-looks fudd-y and small

    TIA--matty
