  1. That’s the kind of talk I like to hear. Unfortunately we in NJ and other Nanny states that have been burned know all too well anything could happen. if they get a big enough push back maybe it will knock them back on their heels just as we are currently playing defense now. I’m hopeful other state reps from other "Free states" like Texas, PA, and the Southern states will just stymie any and all legislation. And just maybe there are still a few legislators with a set of balls to shoot down any of the proposed sh*t down

I don’t know either but you could bet both sides are lawyering up. We have to remember this going to be Chicago-style politics from now to the end of his term and he could do a lot of damage between now and then not only to 2A rights but across the board. Maybe Texas will succeed from the union and we could all move there

    try wyoming

  2. Because the BATFE and NJSP, should they decide to ban guns, can simply look up all our info, how many guns we have, and systematically raid people in the dead of night.

Or, they can simply do what they did with post-1986 machine guns and close the registry... oops.

not to mention, all forced NICS will do is create MORE hoops for the LEGAL gun owners to jump through. giving in to that bullshyt is the same as bending over and letting them limit mags to 10rnds. youre giving, and giving, and giving, and NONE of it is stopping ANYTHING.

so lets play his little game, and pretend theres forced NICS. you want to buy a gun FTF (IF thats still allowed). you have to call the NICS number.....and hope you get through. and if you dont, no gun. meanwhile, some scumbag criminal in patterson meets another criminal on a street corner, gives him $100 for an ALREADY ILLEGAL gun, walks into a bar to shoot an enemy, and hits a dozen innocent bystanders in the process. OR, someone kills their mother, stealing what was originally legal guns, and shoots up a school.

so their kneejerk reaction is 'we have to get these illegal guns off the streets.....so lets force all legal transfers go through FFLs, since forced NICS didnt stop this.'

so how did that accomplish anything

the ONLY way any sane, rational gun owner and 2A advocate should ever even entertain the idea of forced NICS is with the stipulation of absolutely NO record of serial numbers given. you want to do NICS to check out the person....fine, you do that. you do NOT need to know what anyone is buying or owna. use NICS as what its supposed to be for....instant background check on purchaser. and even that is still an infringement

  3. Great price. If I didn't have 17, yes 17, of these I would grab some more.

    meh. i think i have around 40 92 mags.

site says ready to ship, but then is a disclaimer at the bottom:

    Attention!

We're sorry, due to high demand, the manufacturer is unable to provide a reliable "Date expected in stock," therefore we are unable to take a backorder. Please use our Notify Me feature to receive an alert as soon as the product arrives.

  4. Definitely not. This would give the Government a lot of power and would be a de facto registration.

exactly. people still are blind to the fact that 95% of all shooting are done with ILLEGAL guns; stolen or otherwise. national NICS will do absolutely nothing to save lives

  5. Well I'd be willing to bet that without the NRA, we wouldn't even be having this discussion, and this forum probably wouldn't be needed either, we would have went the way of England and Australia already..

people forget that its the NRA that has the spotlight on them. its the NRA giving press conferences. its the NRA that is mentioned whenever a shooting happens. you never heard a news anchor saying 'we're waiting for a statement from the GOA/NJ2AS/SAF.' the NRA is the top dog in 2A rights, with the members, money, and political clout to get things done. im a member of ALL the 2A groups, and if youre the least bit passionate about 2A rights, everyone should be. but you should never knock the NRA for having a few points you disagree with, as HD said, we wouldnt be here without them.

  6. Because of family issues I cannot leave NJ yet, you made the choice to go to dicks. There is the difference right there, you willingly support an anti 2A store, I have no choice but to live in an anti 2A state. If you can't see the difference IDK what else to say.

face it. hes an arrogant, narcissist ass and all he wants to do is wave his PA license at everyone across the river. 99% of his posts drip with arrogance and a holier then thou attitude because 'i up and left NJ for PA so im therefore more pro2A and better then you.' funny, his mouth is shut on the penn. gun forum about such topics

  7. Building upon the listing of gun owners in the Hudson Valley that a newspaper printed up, which is discussed in this thread here > http://njgunforums.c...99t-believe-it/, the very same newspaper prints up another article that goes hand in hand with their war on gun owners;

The gun owner next door: What you don't know about the weapons in your neighborhood

    http://www.lohud.com...r-neighborhood?

Would I have bought this house knowing somebody (close by) had an arsenal of weapons? No, I would not have.

Remember, an arsenal is more than one firearm, and half a box of (20) cartridges.

I would love to know if someone next to me had guns. It makes me safer to know so I can deal with that, I might not choose to live there.

The discrimination war on us is coming......if it's not already here.

    keeping this on topic.......................

at least some people are fighting fire with fire:

  8. Here is my 2 cents.

I would like to see a federal law pass that would require all legal firearm owners (regardless of how many are owned) to own a federal approved firearms safe.

and i will say, yet again, the glaring obvious point: how do you know lanza'a mother DIDNT have all her guns locked in a safe?? people are ranting and raving saying she didnt have them locked up, its all her fault, if they were locked, it wouldnt have happened.....so where is the proof that they WERENT locked up, and adam simply stole the keys/combo, and STOLE the guns?

'requiring' a safe will do absolutely nothing. you keep giving, and giving, and giving, and before you know it, its federal law to keep every single gun locked in a safe, with the ammo in another safe, a felony to have a loaded gun in the house, and then a felony to have a fully ASSEMBLED gun in the house.

not one inch. youll never get it back.

  9. the ro's need to stop and think about what their job really means, and how theyre treating the people there. my last trip, i took a friend as a guest. we were shooting at the pistol range, and were literally the ONLY PEOPLE THERE. not another soul on the pistol range. to keep things less messy, we used two benches. as we were packing up, the ro came over in the brand new gator and handed us a copy of their rules, saying how members have to share a bench with a guest.

if there were anyone else on the range, thats one thing, and of course we'd share a bench. you can preach up and down about 'rules are rules', blah blah. but when 2 people are the ONLY ones on the ENTIRE range, take a step back and think before you try cramming rules down a members throat. are you really 'informing' someone, or are you just coming off as a douche with a superiority complex.

  10. Brian - these look really good. and only 77 to 145lbs and within my range! Only hang up I have and I will follow up on this, is they say "one time lock installation". Not sure what that means? Otherwise a great find. Thanks!

it means you put a padlock into the locking mechanism once, and dont have to mess with it again. while a gang box may seem like a nice choice, you have to remember it will only be locked by a regular keyed lock, which can be picked or bumped. additionally, the steel is not that thick, and if someone wants to get into it, they will with nothing more then a grinder and cutoff wheel. you might as well go for a gun storage chest or cabinet, not a safe. its better then nothing and will slow down a thief, maybe making him move on to an easier target altogether.

  11. im proud to have been a benefactor member for 10yrs. i joined the GOA today as a lifer, and im going to contribute more to both.

some people thumb their noses at the NRA.....well the NRA is the top dog when it comes to gun rights. its the NRA that was attacked, its the NRA that gave the press conference, and its the NRA that is the largest and most public 2A rights advocate. you never hear of 'we're awaiting the GOA/SAF press conference.' join and contribute to them ALL

  12. ok so all i do is go to the police station and apply for my permits wich are $2 each.

Do I have to pay for the mental health check? and after I get my permits how long do they last for?

you can fill out electronically and download them yourself. no need to go the station

  13. Now I am not admitting to being a prepper but I suppose after Sandy it cant hurt. Anyone recommend a good forum/community for preppers in NJ? Ultimately I want a network of people who I can share my skills/supplies with and help each oteh rout.

I always figured I would try and get to Cherry Ridge if the SHTF....

im proud to say im a prepper. fyck anyone who thinks its a 'tin foil hat' thing. YOULL be the one laughing the next time a sandy storm hits, because you already have a generator, food and water stocked.

going to cherry ridge will be akin to going to a walmart or mall.....there are hundreds, if not thousands, of other people who will think the same thing. so while it may actually be a good location for a SMALL group, say 20, there will be waves of people thinking the same thing and flooding the area. the only resource there is the clubhouse, with 2 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens. not enough room for the number of people who will migrate there.

  14. I'm kind of looking forward to the collapse. lol....

ive said for years, the ONLY way to change the direction the county is going is a complete collapse. wipe the slate clean, and start new. voting doesnt work. the regime will never change. all of us who voted for romney know this. a republican vote in a democratic state is little more then a throw away protest vote. additionally, there is no way i trust the voting procedure anyway. bush stole both of his elections with voting machine tampering. that, and the electoral college are a disgrace to the citizen voters.
