  1. This was great information. I have decided I'm going glock as I always had a glock in my rotation but not at this moment. I agree I like keeping things stock. I think these crazy blinged out guns with everything changed out is too much. It's a tool keep it that way, simple.

  2. This probably has been kicked around this forum already. Just wondering those who own both what are your thoughts on them. It seems they are very close in features, shootability, and price. The only thing that seems to stand out between the two is glocks long term reliability.

I prefer a milled slide to the MOS. The milled slides sink the RDS lower than the MOS Glocks as there is no need for a mounting plate. The RDS is direct attach to the slide, as the slide is mulled to the specific model of MRDS you want.

This is very good info. As I was looking into a pistol that was optics ready. Makes much more sense to go the milled route.

Just put a 6moa Vortex Venom on a G17mos gen 5. Dawson suppressor sights to co- witness. I’ve only had it out to the range twice, but I’m happy with it....

I plan I’m using it for local Steel Challenge matches.

Sounds like a nice set up.

  5. I'm in market for either a gun with an optic already installed or I might just buy an optic ready gun and just get my own red dot. What red dots do you recommend and have experience with? Should I skip the more affordable vortex, and Burris red dots and just go with a trijicon rmr? What size dot should I go with? Are any with auto wake up? I just want something super dependable and functions well.

Found this, but I would like to hear from personal experience.

  6. How do you purchase a gun out of state?  I'm looking to buy a gun, looking locally but also on gun broker, armslist and others sites. I am wondering how do you make a purchase with out being scammed? I know everything has to go through an ffl, but I don't think that will protect you? Just want to safe if I go that route.

  7. I have one of those already, just cant find a good iwb appendix carry holster for her! Lol

But seriously. I'm liking more and more the idea of something with an optic. That canik TP9SFX, and sig p320 look good with optic already on them as an option. I'm thinking an optics ready cz-p10s and put my own optic on her is a better option. Are there any other optic ready guns out there, h&k is working on that option for vp9 but it was not available when I picked  up vp9 last month with no real solid date for release when I called h&k about it. i was looking at the new version of styer, grip looks good, I remember prior model had very good reviews.

  8. It seems like we are in another golden age of guns, so many really nice options out there on the market. This year I picked up an h&k vp9 my dream gun always wanted an h&k, and i recently brought home a sig sauer p365 super nice, I really like it alot, she is so tiny! For my 3rd permit I'm thinking something with an optic like the canik TP9SFX with vortex optic but I'm open to other ideas. Hand guns I'm also considering is glock g20 10mm, love that round, h&k vp9sk to go with it's big brother vp9, cz p10 optics ready. So I'm asking here if there is anything new on the market that I should also be looking at? I'm particular to striker fired guns. Plastic or all metal doesn't matter.
