Thanks for your positive comments. I was truly happy to see so many new faces. I believe what we are doing is important, and it is great to hear that we are on the rights track. We will continue to build the NJ2AS into a voice for all the law-abiding firearms owners in NJ. Again, thanks to everyone who participated. THANK YOU to all who attended last night's meeting. I *KNOW* that some of you came from hours away. I can't tell you how much we appreciate your support. What this shows me is, we *CAN* take back our rights. As a group, we have some of the most talented, intelligent, and decent people supporting our efforts. For TOO long, we have been convinced that we can do nothing to change the gun laws in NJ. That simply isn't true. We CAN! But it means that we will have to pay CLOSE attention to this next election. It means we have to ask the HARD questions of those who "say" that they want to "represent" us. We need MORE straight talking representatives in the Senate and Assembly, like Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll. We need to let Governor Christie KNOW what we expect of him. There is no room for apathy or defeatist attitudes. *THAT* is what got us to this point. NOW IS THE TIME! Let your current representatives know that you intend to elect ONLY those candidate who support freedom, and the rights of the citizens of NJ. Make sure that they understand that the RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS is not optional. Let them know that the right tool in the hands of law-abiding people has always been, and ALWAYS will be the best insurance of a safe and secure America. Let them know that we do not buy the concept that it is the government's job to "take care of us". They can't, and WE know it. MOST IMPORTANT. Do not think that just because the Supreme Court ruled in our favor in the Heller and McDonald cases, that the job is done. If it were, I wouldn't be wasting my time TYPING this with two fingers. :-) Unfortunately, the Constitution is NOT self-enforcing. This means that until every misguided NJ gun law is challenged in court and overturned, NOTHING will change. Do NOT stop supporting the rights organizations that are fighting the fight. They need and deserve our support. Choose those organization that YOU believe are actually doing the job in NJ, and do what you can to help. Together we WILL make the difference and take back our rights. NOW *IS* THE TIME!!!

I am on twitter, but I only have about 5 followers, and half of THEM are looking to sell me something. :-) Besides, my typing is HORRIBLE. Perhaps. I am not against open carry. We do not have a specific, official, NJ2AS position on this question. I will bring it up at the next board meeting. Thanks.

My personal position on this is, if people carry discreetly, the criminals have *NO* idea who is carrying, and who is NOT. Therefore, discreet carry has a bigger impact on lowering violent crime rates.

Do you know how many States have reciprocity with Virginia?

I am not sure, but the $25 covers everything, so you can just have them redo them on the 17th.
