  2. HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MY AUTHORITAY! DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU TO HELL YOU FILTHY MONKEY!!!!
  3. Again, I would just like to add that there is no point in continuing this thread. I believe that nothing productive will come out of it. What I would like to suggest is that we all concentrate on what we can do to further the mission to restore and preserve our right to keep and bear arms for legitimate purposes here in NJ. As much as I encourage everyone to consider becoming a member of the NJ2AS, there are other ways that someone can contribute. The *LAST* thing we need to do is waste time and effort squabbling among ourselves over non-issues. Can we please just make this the last word on this topic and move on to more productive matters. We have some TERRIFIC speakers lined up for the next several meetings. We need everyone to spread the word. Frank Virgilio will be at the November 9, 2011 meeting in Winslow, Evan Nappen is speaking in Toms River on Saturday December 3, 2011, David Jensen appears in Belleville on January 11, 2012 and ALAN GURA will be in Toms River on February 29, 2012. We will have posters and fliers that need to be distributed. EVERYONE who is interested can become involved in helping to promote these events. If you would like to participate, PLEASE email [email protected]. Thanks. Let's all work together to demand our rights from those who are TRULY our enemies. Thank you for your cooperation.
  4. Tosser, are you still interested in helping? Are you a member of the NJ2AS. You have my number, so please give me a call if you are still interested. Thank you,
  5. It is great to see so many people taking advantage of the *FANTASTIC* training opportunities available in our state and elsewhere. Keep up the good work guys. You can never be too rich, too thin (not that I know from personal experience), or too good a shot (ditto). :-)
  6. INDEED! The dedication we receive from our members and friends is extremely gratifying. The people you mentioned as well as EVERYONE who helped to make this a successful event *ALL* deserve our appreciation and our respect. I know that Cameron wanted to be there, and I appreciate it. Jen and Manny at the Bullet Hole are TRUE patriots and deserve our thanks and our business. Grant and Tony, what can I say - it is above and beyond the call of duty and the event would not have been the same without them. There are *SO* *MANY* people who have and continue to contribute to the success of our Society it is hard to mention all of them. I have made an attempt to do so in the weekly President's Letter I just sent out to the members, but there will always be someone who is not properly recognized. I hope that everyone who gives of their time, talent and efforts understands that I am forever grateful to them for making the NJ2AS such an overwhelming success. There is so much more to appreciate in the coming weeks and months Frank Virgilio will be addressing the group at the meeting on Wednesday November 9, 2011 and then we have Evan Nappen in December, David Jensen in January and Alan Gura at our February meeting. All these people are at the forefront of RKBA in NJ and throughout the Nation. Please keep an eye on our website for further information about these amazing events. Thank you,
  7. I would like to personally thank Anthony Colandro and Gun for Hire for the GENEROUS contribution of the time, talent and facilities for our Beginning Shooters Program yesterday afternoon. Anthony even arranged for the donated range time at the Bullet hole.Everyone who participated remarked how GREAT an experience it was. The attendees were taught how to safely and responsibly handle a number of different caliber handguns as well as rifles. Anthony graciously supplied everything necessary for a wonderful learning experience. Many of his instructors and RSOs were there to help us make this an enjoyable experience for everyone concerned. We had participants of all ages from 12 on up. I was particularly pleased to see several women participate. I believe that the attitude towards firearms in New Jersey will not change until more women find out how safe and how much fun shooting can be as well as how important it is to know how toy defend ones life and family. I believe the event was a complete success. I would like to thank Anthony, his staff and all the other instructors and RSOs who participated. I would also like to thank Manny and Jen from the Bullet Hole for donating the range time as well as all the free .22 ammunition that was used for the event. Richard Zuendt of ConservativeNewJersey.com deserves appreciation for continuously promoting the event on their blog site. I would also like to thank the Fredy Riehl of Ammoland and Peter Succi of FirearmsTruth for touting this event. It is amazing what can be accomplished when good people cooperate to contribute to a common goal. I believe that this attitude of working together in a positive way with each other will do more to promote RKBA in New Jersey and the rest of the nation than anything else. I also think that these kinds of events and activities are MUCH more important than any disagreements or misunderstandings we may have with each other from time to time. It is time for all of us to drop the insignificant issues we may have, and instead figure out what we can ALL do to contribute to the cause of restoring and preserving our right to keep and bear arms as Anthony and his group have done on numerous occasions. I am certain that I would not have been able to hold such a successful event as we had yesterday without the assistance of people like Anthony and his band of patriots over at GFH! Thank you,
  8. Well, for the sake of accuracy, I haven't heard from Buckeye yet - but I have been out all day and then I am off to a wake. I am sure we will be in touch before long. I will let everyone know. Thank you everyone for agreeing to agree. :-) We are really all the best damn people to move this mission forward. I am happy to see the level of cooperation. Let's keep things going in this direction. Thanks,
  9. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. Anthony is correct. SJSC was willing to allow us to use the range, but it wasn't cost effective. I have to admit that I was not as involved in this project as I should have been. I did try to make it clear that Anthony is not the problem. If I misrepresented the situation in any way it was due to a lack of knowledge about what transpired. I can only repeat that Anthony has been NOTHING but supportive of *ALL* our efforts. I think we can put this to bed. We will make the classes happen. However, this is not about How good Anthony's classes are - the are THE ABSOLUTE BEST AVAILABLE. People come from all over the Country to attend his classes. There is a reason for that. At any rate, I do not see a reason to extend this thread any further. I am satisfied that we are doing our best to bring these programs to our members and guests. If anyone screwed up on this it was me, and I take full blame. Let's work together to make these classes happen and also to initiate additional programs.
  10. No, Actually I appreciate that you guys are willing to assist me with this. I asked Tosser to call me, and I would like you to do the same. Anytime tomorrow before 6:30. Probably 9 AM to 12 Is best. I have a lunch meeting. and then say between 2PM and 6 PM. My personal cell is (732) 233-6506. Let's get a committee of guys together who can get this done. I am *VERY* happy to have the help. As far as the rest is concerned - I owned and ran two successful businesses for over 30 years before I retired. I still keep an interest in one. There are times that people have to make business decisions and they can't always please everyone all the time. I don't want to second guess anyone on this. I am just thrilled to get the amount of support I *DO* get from not only Anthony, but also people like Chet Wilson of ShootNJ and his people - Dawn and Grant, etc. Cam Green has also offered to help. So, I am actually very fortunate to have all these guys on my team. I am a glass half full kinda guy. It has worked for me as a businessman, and so far - it is working (for the most part) with the NJ2AS. There is more we CAN do, and there is more we WILL do. And having you guys join in and volunteer like this only serves to support my position. Please call me tomorrow, or if you prefer me to call you, just PM me and I will be happy to do so. My life is an open book. EVERYBODY has my cell number. :-) I am expecting a surprise call from the Attorney General's office any day now. :-) Eh - i am old, what can they do to me. :-) Thanks guys. I am looking forward to working more closely with you. PS - I know there have been others who have offered to help. For a LONG time I was bogged down in the nitty-gritty of making the NJ2AS happen. If I didn't respond, and you haven't lost interest, please accept my apology for not getting back to you right away. Feel free to call me at the same number. Frankly (no pun intended), there was a long time where I couldn't even figure out *WHAT* I could delegate out and what I couldn't. It is becoming a *LOT* clearer the more we grow and the more our programs are starting to come together. For those who are interested, we are running such events as "Beginning Shooters" programs and Women's Programs" Like a "Refuse to be a Victim". This program is particularly dear to my heart, as my wife is studying to become a rape victim advocate. I would rather see her devote her time to advocating for women to be able to DEFEND against rape instead of just "surviving" it... But I digress. Anyway, if you thought I was being an asshole and not accepting offers of help - it really wasn't that. I am not and have never been a "natural" leader. I am learning how to do this each step of the way. Basically, I am happy when I don't muck things up. I feel that you guys have been patient and I appreciate it. We are now at the point where we not only *CAN* use your help - but we are starting to learn HOW to use it. So - "mea culpa", let's move on. Anyone who is still interested, please call me and I will get you involved. We have a BIG meeting with Evan Nappen coming up. We need to PROMOTE the hell out of that. I am having posters and fliers designed and printed up as we speak. I will need people to get them out to the ranges, clubs, gun stores, legion halls, libraries and HELL - doughnut shops for that matter. If they let us post it - it is a good place. I am lining up David Jensen (The Attorney for the SAF/ANJRPC lawsuit) and Alan Gura (you all KNOW who *HE* is) to address our Society in the New Year. Both have already agreed, and it is just a matter of scheduling. We have more appearances planned for Mark Walters Armed American Radio, Tom Gresham's Gun Talk Radio, Gun for Hire radio and other venues. We are being heard, and it is only going to improve over time. Operation Establish Compliance is alive and well. We are finishing the vetting process for Plaintiffs for the first town we are going after, and there is more on the way. So PLEASE stay tuned. BTW - our Video is STILL getting more and more views every day. If you haven't seen it yet - please check it out on our home page at www.nj2as.com. I think you will ENJOY it as much as I do. OK, enough for tonight. Those of you who have not joined the NJ2AS might want to consider doing so now. I am going to have to raise the dues for new members in the near future (increased processing, web, and other costs make it necessary), but right now it is still only $25.00. It is a small price to pay for being a part of the organization that is going to change the gun laws in New Jersey. See you guys soon. AND THANKS!
  11. OH! EXCELLENT! OK, Well, please give me a call on my cell anytime tomorrow prior to 6:30M (I have a wake to attend). (732-233-6506). I will put a committee together. I know JoelK is interested,, and also MAK. I think you guys would be great working together. I will ask JoelK to call me as well, and I have MAK - Mike's number and email, so I will get in touch with him. HEY, I really appreciate the offer of help. THANK YOU.
  12. No, I totally get your concern and I thank you. We will make it happen. Unfortunately, it went off my radar. It should not have, but I was juggling a LOT of personal and NJ2AS affairs and I wasn't personally involbved enough in the effort. That will change and I will be able to devote more time to the NJ2AS. I have started to receive a lot more help from the members recently, and that will free me up to keep my eyes on the highest priority items - like bringing Rob in to do training. I guess we are still experiencing some growing pains. I *CAN* say this. It is becoming obvious (at least to *ME*) that we are getting a *LOT* more "right" than we are doing wrong. All we can do is improve on that record. and *THAT* is exactly what we are going to do. The next court date for our lawsuit against the NJ Division of State Police is scheduled for Friday November 4, 2011. If opposing counsel doesn't ask for, and/or isn't granted yet ANOTHER extension - perhaps we can obtain a ruling. If any one isn't doing something that day, and would like to view the proceedings - you are welcome to attend. I believe it is an open court. It was pretty boring the last two times, and we don't actually get to say anything, but in some ways it is interesting to watch. In any event - the wheels of justice move slowly in NJ, ESPECIALLY (it seems) when it comes to anything having to do with the RKBA! :-(
  13. Actually, no that isn't the reason. If anything Anthony has been generous as possible to the NJ2AS. He has donated his facilities regularly for our meetings both in Belleville and in Winslow. He is donating his and his trainer's time to run a beginning shooters program for me. He even got the range time donated. So, *ANY* implication that Anthony does not do everything in his power to help our organization is coming from a lack of knowledge. I understand that not everyone can know everything about what we are doing, but I think it would be a good thing if people did not make incorrect assumptions about those things they don't know about. Thanks Guys.
  14. For legitimate business reasons they are unable to accommodate us.
  15. Yes - sadly we did not get much cooperation from anyone. Most places do not like to allow "outside" trainers to use their facilities. *VERY* short-sided in my humble opinion, by that is the way things are in New Jersey. We will try for next season. I am sorry, Rob. It was a VERY nice offer you made to the NJ2AS. Thank you,
  16. I know that Tom is working on it. I will ask him to do an update. Thank you,
  17. Thanks Caine. I have no idea why it blocked me before - the link works fine now. If I had to guess - I would say that it is because "Computers are the Spawn of Satan". :-) After 30 plus years in the computer business, the one thing I *AM* certain of is that Computers *ARE* the Devil's Children. Well...THAT, and the fact that we can no longer survive without them. :-) Thanks,
  18. PDM - upon a second read, I have to agree that StarwarsGeek was not trying to justify gun control. I might have been just a "touch" too "quick on the trigger". I have been spending so many hours on our mutual cause lately that I think it may just be affecting my "mood". My apologies to StarwarsGeek. I do want to stress that we need to continue the fight on ALL levels - Legislative, Executive and Judicial as well as in the court of public opinion, the fourth estate and all the various forms of social media. My main point however is we should always keep in mind the fact that our Constitution provides all the moral justification we need to support the claim to our rights. We need to re-frame the argument in our own minds. It is not that *WE* are trying to inflict our will upon a reluctant "majority". The truth is that those who impose gun-owner-control upon us are infringing upon OUR civil rights. Now, while I realize that argument is not going to win the "hearts and minds" of those who disregard our rights (no matter how benevolent their motives), it is more important that *WE* understand it at a very fundamental level. In order for us to maintain the stamina necessary to restore and preserve those rights, we need to be entirely secure in the legitimacy of our position. Simply put - we are right and they are wrong. Now all we need to do is figure out what to do with that information. *THAT* in a nutshell is what the NJ2AS is all about. We fight in the courts, we work with the legislature, we beat our heads against the brick wall of our executive branch, we Facebook, Twitter, Blog and You Tube (is that a verb yet). We do also try to engage the community with monthly meetings and beginner shooting events. No doubt there are *MANY* people we will not be able to reach, but we will STILL win because we are RIGHT and because we won't quit until we *DO*!
  19. For some reason, my browser is preventing me from going to that URL. It is identifying it as a "phishing" site.
  20. We are getting there - little by little. I have more help than I used to. We have been attracting many more volunteers who are willing to handle some of these responsibilities. You should see an *LOT* more activity in the coming weeks and months. We are also making a CONCERTED effort to increase our communications with our members, the firearms owners and the community in general. Feel free to keep our feet to the fire. It took us a *LONG* time to finally get to this position. I am determined that we don't lose ground. Please continue to make comments and suggestions, and if you have something you think you can do to help promote the cause, please volunteer. We always appreciate the help. Thanks
  21. I shall take myself out and have me "flogged". I PROMISE we will do them again up north!
  22. If there is sufficient interest in the Non-resident CCW processing program we will be happy to run it at our next meeting on November 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM. For further information and to register, please visit our website HERE! Cutoff for registration is on Monday November 7, 2011. THANK YOU!
  23. That is a GREAT point. I will try to make sure that we include that information in the future. We did not conduct the CCW program at the last meeting. What I will do is ask people who are interested in getting the non-resident CCW to register at our website. There has to be enough interest in order to ask the people involved to come out and setup their equipment. Registration will help to determine that ahead of time. Look for a CCW registration post on our website. I will try to get one up later today. Thanks for the suggestion. I REALLY appreciate it.
