  1. Does anyone know the bottem line on owning/buying/transferring the 223,7.62 and 308's? Why do some FFL's move em and some don't? I'm talking stock, not converted factory guns. I saw something somewhere that "Kaliznikov" was no good but RAA Saiga was ok, whatever. If i see a good deal and want to jump on it what are my options? Or am i just thinking too much about it. Thanx. Oh yea, feel free to give any recomondations on em.

  2. Actually made out to the range in Dec to let this old Mossy make some noise for the first time in over 50 yrs. Set up a 25 yard target at the 22 plinking range and after a few quick adjustments on the peep sight was hitting 1", quarter size groups! No bragging rights there but I think its a great start. But after only 8 rnds had a feeding issue. Fixed at home and a few weeks later went back and did well but the further out I went the more my old naked eyes didnt work. So I just picked up an old Weaver 4x scope/rings and cant wait till I get it on and start sighting in with that.

  3. No pic of me in the photo just the plate and since the car is in wifes name, yea she got the tik,(LOL) actually called a "citation". Having gone back and forth to NC 9 times the past year I got pretty good (lucky?) knowing most of the hot spots down 95. Funny but never felt too alarmed thru MD but VA sucked. And watch out for Emporia VA on the NC state line.EVERY trip both ways somewhere was a speed trap or cars already pulled over. Infamous spot. Thats the only time I used cruise control, set it to the speed limit for about 20 miles. Love NC, never saw a cop and I guess they didnt see me either. And the 69mph they got me at was me going painfuly slow!My son got nabbed twice in VA in one week but being a Marine got off.

  4. In the mail today (Jan 6) the Maryland Feds gave me a speeding ticket on 95 (69mph-watch out!!) from midnight Dec 10.Say I was in a construction zone posted 55mph. Dont recall any workers out there at midnight.Guess I was a real menace out there to the one other car two miles in front of me! Got pics of me too! Ok,done, pay the $40 and get on with my life. :)

  5. Funny thing happened day or so after i did OP- my son who's in Afghan suprised us with a skype call(wahooo!) and I mentioned knives to him and he said to go look in his"junk drawer" and take what I want. Must have been 6-8 decent knives in there! Kershaw, Kabar, Gerber, Boker, Blackhawk, Case and bunch more beater blades! Now gonna use my fleebay gift cert to get some mag pouches and somthin else. But thanx for all the recomondations!

  6. Awesome innovation! I'll tell you what-unless this thing craps the endurence test it will not be coming down much in price any time soon. At least untill the competition wakes up. Whats the barrel length on it anyway?

  7. All I'm saying is $117 which includes the shipping, transfer fee & NCIS check is a sweet deal. And I'm supporting my friendly local FFl who gets $37 for his effort via the transfer fee/NCIS. Just to compare apples to apples for a $125 rifle then add NCIS and tax comes to about $150. Not $8 dollar difference but more like $33.As for holding the gun before purchase thats another thing. Cant go too wrong for only a little over a $100.

  8. Thanks, thats what I was lookin for- THE LAW. Now that that appears cleared up let me expand on some peripheal concerns. 1)You now are a resident of NJ and you got the guns legally out of state without a FPID, how do you get ammo? 2)playing devils advocate, say you get pulled over for a broken brake light on the way home from the range. Cop sees your locked pistol & rifle cases and asks you for your FPID. What happens then? You gonna show him the sales receipt that hopefully you have with you and hope this particular officer is fully knowledgable about all the laws? Man, you can go nuts in this state with all the what ifs!

  9. Found this excerpt right here on this forum.

Every example requires a FPID. I'm sure Nj will see him as a resident. His drivers license, home address and voter ID are all NJ. I'm not questioning his ability to buy out of state just how NJ will recognize the firearms.Besides gonna need the card to purchase ammo anyway back in NJ.
