One of the nicest things on the Chrysler Pacifica is the Stow & Go seating.

Can't beat the versatility. Not many vehicles can carry 7 people or a stack of plywood or sheetrock. As a younger family we had 2 Town&Country minivans, wife loved them. I had my big rigs but didn't mind the comfort and usefulness of them. No problems either other than a few recalls.

i'm hoping that doesn't happen. but i'm fearful that it will, considering that some of those organizations(nra for example) have historically bargained our rights away.

On a national level, yes. However NJ's own chapter of NRA is ANJRPC and they have a great team of officers and lawyers that have been fairly aggressive recently. They have reasons going about their business and have the state on its heels. Give them some well deserved credit.

There are no sources. At the same time, pick any topic and try to get a lawyer to tell you you have no liability or legal risk. They will never give you an affirmative answer.

Every case I have seen where the status of the trigger was made an issue were civil cases and determining liability.

There was an incident down south jersey (unfortunately I can't find an article on it, it's been quite a while) of a defensive shoot with a uspsa open gun. It was a justified shooting. There was no talk of triggers. The definitions permitting the use of lethal force make little to no comments on the means, other than it being lethal.

That was then, not this current brave new world of civilian ccw where the state's contempt for such is blatantly hostile. They are drooling at the prospect of manufacturing a ccw scapegoat and given the chance to pile on charges adding to the perception that ccw holders are wild eyed killers they will do so. At least I  think so.

  4. In regards to the perceived danger of using a altered trigger in a self defense shoot, I wouldn't dismiss it these days despite lack of history. Outside of LEO  I think it's a short list in NJ of legal and justifiable SD shoots, much less outside the home considering the former scarcity of ccw's. And how many of those involved a trigger uprade? I guess very very few. I don't know the stats of course, I'll leave that to the endeavors of your AG. But I'm sure if  SD  case comes along and a altered trigger is in the mix NJ will absolutely use that fact to help prosecute.

Huge difference!  Florida require a hunter's education course or a DD-214 or just about any training. No live fire and No requalification EVER!  We are not active duty law enforcement and we should not be held responsible to qualify at that level of proficiency!

    THIS IS BULLSHIT and FPM!:gay:

They also took a tattered NRA pro marksman cert from way back when I was a teenager in the 70's:lol:

  7. It.  Is.  Awesome. Chump change for commercial free tunes altho the hosts can get a bit chatty. Huge selection of music, sports ,news etc. I think I pay around $8 a month. When it's time to renew they try to bump the rate a lot but just say cancel it and they'll keep it the same, at least for me for a bunch of ongoing  yrs. I've got a favorite show, a bit off the normal path. It's broadcasts oldtime radio shows, coppers, bank robbers and smokey room type stuff. Lots of fun.

Your BIL is not fully informed.

Under LEOSA an active or retired LEO can carry hollowpoints in NJ.  LEOSA allows carrying of hollowpoints.  No state law trumps federal law.

    https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/federal-judge-rules-against-nj-finally-allowing-retired-leos-to-carry/

Nice, thanx for that update, seems that ruling is less than a yr old.. I will forward that link to my BIL, as of Easter he was unaware and (we) will be happy to stand corrected.

This had nothing to do with Bruen.

Retired LEOS can carry hollowpoints.  Everyone else no.

Not according to my BIL, a retired CO &:

New Jersey also makes it a crime under N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3(f) to possess “hollow nose” ammunition unless the person is an active law enforcement officer. This law is not subject to any exemption even if the person carrying has a permit.

i said it before and i'll say it again. issue them to ALL law enforcement. right from the presidents detail right on down to the local beat cop. issue them to ALL military personel. 10 years of use and study of their reliability. then and only then if there have been no bad hiccups should they be allowed to offer to the rest of us.

if they're not good enough for law enforcement, then they're not good enough for the rest of us. if they're good enough for the rest of us, then they're good enough for law enforcement.

No need to issue, make it a voluntary program. Pencil pushing Leo's don't count,  just those active in the field . How many will sign up?

How many carry permit applications has the state received?  NJ won't say.

The Judiciary said they received 11, 298 applications while the courts were still part of the approval process, the State Police another 5,730, which may have overlap with the court's figures, but the AG claims they simply don't know and have no way to track how many total applications have come in.  :bsmeter:

The article notes that in general, NJ won't reveal numbers about guns, crimes, and police disciplinary actions in the state.  NJ hasn't issued a Uniform Crime Report since 2020.

We don't know how many permit requests have come in, says AG in charge of knowing such things.

What a crock. The AG can simply issue a memorandum to the county admins who in turn reach out to the towns/barracks for the numbers. If Mom's Demand Action asked for that info to publish how many potential killers the Supreme Court put on the street somehow those numbers would appear.
