  1. Anyone done this lately? Tried calling Vinny twice and no answer

Vinny is in the process of moving to Florida.

I don't believe this offer is still available, unless Vinny would have it drop shipped to you from Dillon.

    Shoot him an email.

  2. If you'd like to shoot an hk45 at Cherry Ridge, I can assist.

Thanks, I may take you up on that. I'm going to ask around the range at the steel match on Sunday, see if I can find someone local first.

  3. I just picked up a USP 9mm Expert today your welcome to try out. I also might be interested in your comp gear depending on what it is. I want to start shooting USPSA at Old Bridge.

I appreciate the offer, but I have tried the USP. Specifically looking for HK45 and P30.

  4. With my kids getting to the ages of having something going on EVERY weekend, I find I don't have much time for shooting. I think I have been to 2 or 3 matches in the last 6 months. I used to make 3 or 4 every month. Funny thing is, I don't miss it that much. Been having a blast with the kids.

So, I have been toying with the idea of selling off my 1911's and comp gear and just keeping a couple nice, reliable handguns around the house.

I have always had an interest in the HK45 and P30, but have never had the chance to try one out. Who's got one I can try out? Old Bridge area would be great.

  5. I had the original M&P 22, not the compact. It was a good little gun. Ran well, was accurate enough for shooting steel. I put several thousand rounds through it without any major issues. I do not miss it though. Much happier with my Ruger 22/45 Lite with VQ trigger.

  6. fslater, any chance you could post a picture? It just seems a bit odd that that you can't get a comfortable cheek weld and proper eye relief with an A2 stock. A shorter stock is really to give you a shorter length of pull, not to get you closer to the scope.

  7. While it is always nice to buy American, I have to say in this case, the CZ is your best bet. There are some really nice American 22's out there, just not in that price range. The ones that are in that range and lower may be accurate enough, but they certainly will not have that old world look and feel of the CZ 452 and 455. If your only purpose is target shooting, I would lean towards the Varmint.

  8. I have used cast (Missouri Bullets), plated (Xtreme Bullets), and coated (Bayou Bullets and Ibejihead Bullets). They all work fine, I have been using the Ibejiheads for about a year and a half now and will probably continue to use them. The bonus there is they are from a local guy (Alex in Belleville, NJ) and he will meet at the Old Bridge USPSA matches to save you the shipping costs.

  9. So, who's it going to be tonight? There is a mystery cast member as a guest on the Talking Dead tonight, usually means their character is no more. I'm guessing Noah, since the actor who plays him just landed a gig on one of those CSI shows.

  10. I first got DirecTv back in the early 90's and had it up until about a year and a half ago. I switched to cable's triple play just to save a few bucks (wife's great idea). The savings the first year was great, now in the second year, it's very little. Once the two year commitment is up, I'll be going back to DirecTv.

There is no comparison in picture quality, especially the HD channels. I never had any issues at all with their hardware, constantly have freezing with Optimum's boxes. The only thing is, you will lose reception during heavy storms, but it does not last long, they have made great improvements in that area since the early 90's.

  11. Picked up the Whirlpool front load washer and dryer about 2 years ago, they have been great so far. It's amazing how much more capacity they have over the top loader. Our first choice was the Samsung set, but a neighbor who is an appliance repairman said he has more trouble getting parts for Samsung and LG than other brands.
