I purchased a Lanber 2097 Sporting Lux from CDNN for about 700 I think. It's a really fantastic gun for the price, easily the best value in that price point. Most people haven't heard of Lanber, they're produced in Spain and somehow CDNN had some great deals on them, not sure if they still do. They only had the 28" barrel when I ordered, but then again GlennP has 28" bbl and he shoots damn well. It came with Cyl, Imp Cyl, Mod, and Full chokes too. Only issue I have with the gun is the auto-ejectors are so damn powerful the empties are never seen again. They throw aluminum snap-caps 8 feet away!
Bottom line is most cheap O/U's aren't great, but the Lanber is a diamond in the rough.

It's not a mini-1911, the internals are completely different. With that said, it looks like one and is single-action so it might as well be. I love mine, extremely accurate, very comfortable to wear, excellent sights and fantastic trigger. The pull is a bit heavy (but then again it's supposed to be a carry-gun) though very crisp. Highly recommended.

Congrats, please thank them for their service for me.

But does anyone know WHY the gangstas hold the pistol like that?
Because if you hold it correctly, the sights always be gettin in da way o' what you be tryna shoot at!

These are the same ones Sig ships from the factory. Excellent quality.

It's a hassle and a time-waster if nothing else.

I'll be there. Pewpew. Still pissed about missing qualifying for expert by .87 sec. Grr.

Google "SigPower". They offer aluminum followers that lock the slide back, as well as shorted magazine plugs to extend the capacity to 15, as well as higher power springs to help feed all 15. SS guide rods too!

Since I'm still relatively new to shooting, I've been keeping track of rounds fired on a notepad file. I note malfunctions also.

The right thing to do would be to carefully, but thoroughly disassemble and clean each part. Use some M-Pro 7 or something, and be sure to clean the grips really well. Perhaps apply a light coat of oil to any moving parts and wipe any metal surfaces with a clean rag. THEN call the cops. It's quite rude to hand someone a dirty gun.

Ordered one, I've heard that some of the slide fit issues can be easily remedied though it is certainly a hassle.

On one of my radio shows I read a Judges opinion of her denial for a retired assistant District Attorney to carry, she said "in keeping with the restrictive nature of new Jersey's firearms law's I have decided to deny the issuance of the carry permit". Those words have been going around in my head over and over again. We are caught in an ignorant anti-gun viscous circle it seems with no clear way out. All that we do in this State does not seem to even dent the surface.
Christ. It's like using some bastardized version of Stare Decisis. "Since we've always hated guns, I'm going to deny you the right to defend yourself so as not to rock the boat, I'm sure you understand."

Yep great source for mags, I ordered 2 last time.

I don't think any sort of training should be required, but I believe that a state-sponsored seminar on justifiable use of force should be encouraged.

Not very religious person myself, but both mentioned are in my thoughts. Best wishes.

I actually timed myself a few days ago. I average 4.9 rounds a minute or just under 300 an hour. 9mm using a Lee Classic Turret, powder checking each round.

This situation falls into the legal gray area I define as "MrP's Law". Yes they have a right to name their kids whatever they want, but it isn't right. I fully support the parents' right to name their kids after Nazi war-criminals but these parents have to respect my right to smack them (the parents) upside the head whenever I see them. Hard.
The mention of previous violence in their household suggests that if the state can prove the children were in danger, the state has every right to remove the children.

Perhaps they were trying to cover their asses legally because you used the term "AK Mags". I'm not sure what the proper NJPC term is... "NJ Compliant AK Variant Mag"?

The "doubles and triples" are as follows:
.223 ok in a 5.56 gun - not the other way around
38 Special ok in a .357 magnum gun - again, not the other way around. Please note there's also 38 S&W which cannot be used in either.
SOME 22 caliber guns can handle 22 short, 22 long and 22 long rifle - they are usually marked as such.
There's something with 32 caliber and 327 Federal I think but I'll let someone else weigh in on that.
There are also several names for the same cartridge:
9mm = 9x19 = 9mm Luger
Makarov = 9mm Makarov = 9x18
9mm Largo = 9x23 = 9mm Bergmann Bayard = 9mm Bayard
.380 ACP = 9mm kurz = 9x17 = 9mm BrC (Browning Corto) = 9mm short
.32 ACP = 7.65x17 = 7.65mm Browning
9mm = 9mm NATO = 9mm Para(bellum)

Cleaning primer pockets is really more for benchrest rifle shooters looking to squeeze out every possible bit of accuracy from their rounds. It's simply not necessary for most rifle and all pistol reloaders.

Heh, that's pretty funny watching that military guy with the mohawk and what appears to be an airborne logo on crooning about range safety. He's pretty talented for what it is.
Makes me want to listen to some No Doubt.

Title pretty much says it all. Wondered if anyone besides Victor (vjf915) and I, was going to do the classifier tomorrow at SCFGPA? This required pre-registration and there were only twenty spots and they filled-up within two days. Anybody else from the board?
Adios,
Pizza Bob
I'll be there, RO'ing too! So far each time I've shot the classifier I've moved up a rank, hoping to continue that!
