  1. Manny, I live in woodbridge too and i commute to weehawken ( im two blocks away from the lincoln tunnel, so i might as well be commuting to nyc ) typical drive time is about 40 minutes, but I work midnights so I drive during off peak hours.
  2. Link: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=14319284 What are your thoughts? Is this complete bull ? should they have been fired? Personally, i feel they should be patted on the back. Once the gun came out and was pointed at them it turns into something completely different. Your life is in jeopardy and you should have every possible right to defend it.
  3. Thanks, Im sure everything is peachy, was just curious, as this was my first online purchase. Also, I would of called, but it was late at night and buds states this about their preferred dealers:
  4. I had placed an order for my beretta m9a1 late Thursday night last week. I had selected World Class Steel LLC in edison for my transfer dealer, Being the closest to me, and listed in green ( green = budsgunshop.com preferred dealer ) I figure I'd have no problem. Im just a little curious to see if any you folks have dealt with him in the past and what his typical practice is. I've left multiple voice mails with him with no call backs. This morning I tried emailing him through the address on his website, but it bounced back to me that the email was no longer in service. Also, all my other items through buds have shipped immediately, except for the hand gun still says processing almost a week later. Im not bad mouthing the dealer, or assuming the worst. Im sure he's a reputible ffl dealer. But just a little curious to see what other people had experience wise with them. Thanks -Alec
  5. Thanks, I ordered 3 of these: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/40344 Any recommendations on where to shoot in my area? ( woodbridge / central )
  6. I live in woodbridge nj, i dont have a preferred place to shoot as this will be my first firearm. so any reccomendations would be great. I am pretty central in the state, perfer not to drive 2 hours one way to go shoot. Im exit 130 off the GSP and exit 11 off the turnpike. Thanks. -alec
  7. The beretta had felt best in my hand. I had went to my local shop with the intention of buying a Springfield xd9 or the likes but it felt terrible in my hand, i felt it was too thin, small. The plastics didnt thrill me either. a dozen or so guns later i felt the beretta felt the best in my hand, thicker gun, much heavier. + I love the classic look of the beretta. So once i decided on the 92 series and researching I considered the 92a1, but the rounded trigger guard just didnt do it for me, it was just something about the round trigger gaurd that looked out of place, which was one of the deciding factors when buying the m9a1 instead.
  8. Placed the order for my first handgun today, Beretta M9A1 - Through budsgunshop. I see that it comes with 2 of the higher end sand resistant 15rd magazines, but i'd like to have at least 5 or 6 magazines ready to go for range / zombie apocalypse Im looking for a cheaper alternative for compatible magazines that will work with the m9a1... Am I correct in assuming any standard beretta 92fs magazine will work with the m9a1? or am I limited to the higher end sand resistant ones that cost about 45 per.
  9. Thanks jack, i'll have to check into the M9a1 as a substitute. I've only found 2 places so far that have the beretta 92a1 in stock, but even then. It's the 10round magazine..... Which is no big deal, i could also buy some more 15rd magazines... The down side i have to spend 60+ dollars to replace the 10's for 15's. my local shop, fire arms guild in rahway, apparently has the 15rd coming in soon( couldnt give me a date though ) I think i might just hold out for that. Do you feel the M9a1 is a better subsitute over the 92a1? i realize they are pretty much the same gun, with minor differences no?
  10. Mine took 8 weeks to the day, stay patient!
  11. That might not be a bad idea, more work on my part, and i'd prob. lose some money. I'll check out the website in a bit, what do you think them poor Californy folks might buy the 10rd clips for? 20 a pop ? lou's gun shop was asking $711 out the door for the gun(650) tax, background check. I think it came with 3 10 round magazines
  12. 10 week in woodbridge township for FID
  13. Thanks, I'll try to look him up in the morning. Happen to notice if it was 10 round or they had swaped out the mags to 15?
  14. thanks i did and got some decent responses. I think i may go to NJ firearms guild in rahway since i'm about 4 minutes from there. They are a couple dollars more expensive but i'd rather support the local shop, and be able to go there if i have any issues. Anybody else have personal experience with the 92a1? insight?
  15. seems like most places dont have this in stock, but can order it and then have to swap in 15rd mags in place of the 10rd or 17 rd they come with.
  16. Sorry for the stupid question, but i'm clueless. I know NJ law says that if your traveling with a firearm it has to be locked in your trunk.... Well, ... what happens if you have a pick up truck? I have a Dodge 1500, crew cab... Is simply putting it on the back seat floor sufficient enough in this case?
  17. Does anybody know where I can find the newer beretta 92a1 in stock for purchase in NJ ( pref. somewhere central nj ) Also, while the topic is here. Does the extra couple dollars worth it going for the a1 over the fs ? Main reason im interested is for the intergrated light rail. thanks
