  1. I can get why you would be irked at that. Look at Japan for instance. Low crime AND gun ownership is practically non-existant. Look at what the stats say about the lower crime states here in the USA. Generally, their gun laws are much more loose than areas with higher crime. If one place has strict gun laws and crime is low, and another has loose gun laws and crime is low, this would mean that guns have nothing to do with crime. If they do little or nothing to push the statistics one way or the other, why ban/restrict them?

To be honest if someone wants to kill someone else and doesn't have a gun accessible knives/bats and or sharp/blunt or heavy objects will do. Worst case scenario they try to strangle you. I have to agree, guns are not a major variance in these statistics.

This is one hell of a article that outlines how irresponsible a government is in restricting the rights of its citizens to protect itself. What is even more disturbing is that the commentary on this link on a site called reddit is alarming:

    Brit here.

It's no secret in the scummy as fugg areas, kids can get a hold of guns, and its friggin terrifying. Before that, knives were the real scare. When I still lived in my shitty area of the UK, I never left the house without a knife, that would have landed me in jail, no questions asked, because of their 'zero tolerance' bs...

Kids grow up now, with ZERO respect or fear of the law, they know they can't be touched, and frequently abuse, assault, and stab people, as a joke... a friggin joke!! 13-14 year old kids!! But me? a 23 year old guy, carrying a knife just so I can defend myself? jail time!

Now I live in a dodgy area of Brooklyn, NY. It has like a 6% population of whites... so I stand out like fugg, and most of the muggings around here, are against white people (we carry those fancy ipods right?)... But I feel 10 times safer, knowing that anyone planning to mug someone, has to deal with the fact, someone MIGHT have a fugg off knife, or a gun...

As soon as I move out of this state I'm applying for my CCW...

Sensible gun laws work, and work well... the state of the law in England is a friggin joke, the laws intended to protect people, stop people defending themselves, while 13 year olds thinking a knife/gun is a toy and stabbing people for a friggin joke, can't be touched!!

****, if someone breaks into your friggin house, YOUR home, YOUR friggin castle!! YOU CANT DEFEND YOURSELF WITH A WEAPON!!!... That means knives, bats, clubs, ANYTHING that could cause damage... No matter what that asshole in your house is holding, you CANT grab a weapon...

    Ok... rant over...

TL:DR - fugg the UK laws, I'm in America now, and plan on owning enough guns to equip an army.

How the fugg can anyone from England justify living there anymore?

  3. Doesn't matter, if your friend is getting arrested you do not interfere. He is lucky the cop didn't put a round into him, the other guy who jumped in was going to choke out the cop. What then? Who knows what they would have done, maybe reached for the unconscious officers gun. Like the FOP man said, he is lucky there wasn't a shooting because it wouldn't have been a cop that died.

BTW fugg temple, went there for a frat party one year and the campus police busted it, bunch of straight up pricks, not that Philadelphia police are any better.

  4. I agree the office and just about any other POTUS over my last 45 years I would say I would go, but this one, I don't care, I feel he is disrespectful to the US Citizens..

It's not like George Bush was any better, under that man's watch the Patriot Act was passed. Talk about pissing all over your civil liberties.

  5. I find it odd that in so many threads people mention to reserve judgment until more information is revealed, yet here, everyone is saying to throw them to the wolves? Did it not say he was shot inside his own home? How can you be certain HE wasn't trying to defend himself? Sometimes things are not as they initially appear.

I refer you to the Philly incidents where twice, an officer, did in fact shoot people in their own homes unprovoked. Is this the same thing? I don't think so. But to say a wife who lost her husband has no grounds for any restitution on what she feels was an unjust action, I can't agree with that.

If she is wrong, she won't win her case. Or that is how the system is suppose to work. It isn't meant to immediately throw EITHER side to the wolves.

I lose more and more faith in humanity as the days go on.

However your sane thinking is not the rationale that most have. I think in certain situations a civil case should be denied because the criminal case is not apparent. The officer shot the man, in a court of law they decided it was not a crime therefore it should not have civil merit. I feel for both sides at this point but any more of this story is going to make me sick...

  6. The problem with the ecstasy haul is that even if it is one table or a whole truckload they could only have to do a year or a half year in a county jail. Hopefully they will do a lot of time on the gun charges. (But I would like to add that the charges should be "Five Ounces or more is a First Degree crime that carries 10 to 20 years in prison")

  7. I love how instead of trying to make the beer better they come up with stupid gimmicks to sell their beers. Cold activated cans, vortex bottles, triple hops brewed (I don't taste any hops). Maybe they should try making the beer taste good.

Piss water is piss water no matter how you bottle it.

  8. "an innocent man who is disarmed by law will always be victimized by an outlaw who armed through criminality. The concept of reduced crime through gun confiscation is so naïve it warrants considerable analysis. Through such efforts, good men are left defenseless, while evil men are free to wreak havoc. "

It never dawned upon me how true this is until I just read it out loud just now. For all the individuals that have been killed from muggings, car jacking, robberies and pure absurdity I don't understand how NJ has not adopted a conceal and carry law. It is not like the war against guns this state has is working. The idea of disarming citizens is pure insanity, I finally see it for what it is. Here is the article that I read earlier: http://www.alt-market.com/articles/487-new-jersey-will-pay-you-1000-to-destroy-the-2nd-amendment
