Didn’t realize we had that many aftershocks.

Me neither. We haven't felt a single one of them. Can't say I'm surprised. The first one was a real anomaly for this state.

It was pretty good.   Clever concept, I had to support the ingenuity of the brewers who came up with the idea of making a beer for the eclipse.

Sure. Why not? I would have tried at least one. Although I see Stella right next door, and that might have been my follow up.

So the trip worked out ok, but if I were to post my best eclipse photo, it might be this, taken under blue skies the next day:

Isn't that always the way? The unmarred baby blue shows up the day AFTER the celestial event!

How was the TOTALITY? That might have made up for it.

It’s really hard to believe and very sad that we have these people in leadership positions.

And what does that imply about the people who VOTED for them!

One reason I'm truthfully pessimistic about the future of the country.

  5. But wait... there's more! You forgot about the eclipse. Never let an opportunity go to waste, when you're Sheila Jackson Lee!

"And sometimes you've heard the word 'full moon,. Sometimes you need to take the opportunity just to come out and see a full moon," which the graduate of Yale explained is a "complete rounded circle which is made up mostly of gases."

Not to be outdone, Sunny Hostin, co-host of The View, claimed on air that the eclipse, the earthquake, and the upcoming cicada emergence were ALL due to climate change.

Airing this crap is important. They expose their gullible audience daily, and it needs to be demonstrated that they're not just making political purposed arguments; they are certifiably stupid!

They must also have absolutely no self-awareness. This woman for example looks in her mirror every morning and sees something.

  7. The peak here was supposed to be around 2:25. So sure enough, about 2:15 a cloud deck rolled in that obscured all but about one minute of it.

Never fails here for astronomical events. Every time.

  8. There's some historical records in this article, plus this list of succinct replies to her ridiculous tweet:

“I can’t find the TV remote. The climate crisis is real.”

“she’s running for U.S. Senate. Let that sink in.”

“It’s impossible to tell the difference between parody accounts and real crazy leftists accounts ”

“WTF…..an earth quake….climate crisis….for the love of……the climate has been changing since the creation of terra firma……we cannot talk about anything without about 20 of the crazies new buzzwords”

“You can’t be this dumb, can you? ”

“It was almost big enough to flip the entire state over.”

“You are so right. I’m literally shaking right now.”

“Yeah like earthquakes never happened until recently right?”

“Are you really this stupid in real life?”

“Can you show us on the doll where the climate crisis touched you?”

“Oh, honey, calm down. Earthquakes are created by tectonic shifts, not the climate. Move to CA and you’ll have one at least once a week.”

“Can you explain the 5.3 from 1783, dear? Also, FAULT LINES … do you know what those are? Tectonic plates? Definitely not climate.”

    “Christina, please don’t have children.”

“do you think an earthquake is weather”

“A Climate Clown Activist says what?”

“The Appalachian mountains weren’t formed by Fords and Volvos, lady”

“If you vote for me I will ban earthquakes”

“Tell me you know nothing about science without telling me you know nothing about science.”

“Christina – FYI- April first was three days ago.”

  9. I was standing in the Newton library. I heard the rumble, which quickly changed to a jackhammer staccato the size of the whole building, with items on the counter bouncing or rattling. So I barked out 'Earthquake' and they evacuated the building. After about 10 minutes when it was apparently over everyone went back in.

One thing I noticed. Where I was it was definitely an up-down or shock motion, not a sway. No one had a problem standing. I think that's why there wasn't more building damage reported.

Note: Holy Crap! She's got my vote!

  10. When oil was $22/bbl. Trump wanted to fill the SPR. Upchuck Schumer stopped it saying it was a big gift to the oil companies.

Then Biden sold off a lot of it when gas prices were rising, claiming he'd refill it when prices came down.

Now oil prices are up and still rising, and there's no SPR for Biden to plunder prior to the election.

  11. The number for March was 1,400,000. So let's say 400,000 background checks (?) for CCW. That's a minus. 29 states are now permit-less (constitutional) carry; that's a plus. And then some number of transferred firearms with no check; that's a wash. (It's not a 'new' firearm. It's  new to the buyer, but a loss to the seller.) And then anyone who bought more than one firearm per NICS check. That's a plus.

Regardless of the exact mathematics, my point was simply that IMO it's highly likely there's been a million 'new' firearms purchased every month. For 56 consecutive months. Think there is any overarching reason for that consistent volume?

I think they feel something is coming. If someone thinks there's an alternative reason for that volume, or no common reason at all for that volume, let me know. If you want to.
