  1. Thanks for the response. I'm in Middletown.
  2. Who do you guys recommend to use in getting a muzzle brake permanently installed? Also, what is the going rate to get a brake permanently pinned? Also, would I be in hot water if I took delivery of an upper that doesn't have a muzzle brake permanently installed and drove it over- to the chosen gunsmith myself? Or should I just have it mailed directly to the gunsmith from the manufacturer?
  3. Fatboy Tactical has a deal on stripped lowers selling them for $37.99. If you can get past the mustang roll mark, I've read that they will do the job for a cheap build and are milspec. At that price, can't hurt to pick a few up as cheap insurance. Shipping is a flat $10. http://fatboytactical.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21&products_id=411
  4. Tempting....I've been waiting for them to resurrect the 92g-sd. If I was a Beretta aficionado, I wouldn't hesitate at that price.
  5. Prices are coming down fast. If only there was ammo to shoot.
  6. Thanks, picked one up on back order. Good price.
  7. Since the talks began surrounding gun-control, I've been purchasing 15 round magazines. I now question the wisdom of such purchases as it looks like we may have more onerous law, limiting magazines to five rounds. If the last assault weapons ban was any indication, New Jersey is not one for grandfathering. Essentially, they would require us to either turn them in or throw them out. Aside from buying a house in neighboring Pennsylvania, what do you think? Is it worthwhile to purchase more 15 round magazines as the become available?
  8. The torture test was impressive on YouTube, but the independent tests i saw showed that they were still a little rough around the edges.
  9. I'd like to do a tactical carbine class once the weather warms up. Can you recommend any instructors or classes offered in NJ/Eastern PA? I plan on using this rifle. If I wanted to safe queen, I wouldve have gotten a Colt.
  10. 2H. http://www.stagarms.com/product_info.php?cPath=14_24&products_id=241 I liked the upper with the quad rail, but this is the one that was on sale. I'm glad you like yours, I always wonder if I shouldve kept my powder dry and gone with a spikes, bcm, flavor of the month, but in this climate I'm happy to have one additional EBR in the safe.
  11. Although I already have a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 AR, I partook in a little bit of a panic buying since Feinstein started talking. Last year during Black Friday I purchased a few stripped lowers from Palmetto State Armory. At 50 dollars a piece, I couldn't pass it up. I wish I bought 20. I'll be matching a stag upper and lower parts kit, with a Palmetto State Armory stripped lower. The best part about the deal with the fact that stag was willing to make the entire rifle New Jersey legal at no additional cost. I also added the Plus package, which upgraded a number of the components to mil spec. 1/7 twist rate, M4 feed ramps, 4150 steel, M16 bolt, etc... PSA lower: $50 Transfer: $15 NICs: $15 Stag upper/lpk/etc: $615 Plus package: $70 Total: $765 otd Already got a rail and some moe stuff on the way.
  12. Looking to purchase a few stripped lowers from PSA for some AR projects but don't have an FFL that isn't looking to get like $35 per lower (which seems expensive to me). Anyone know anyone that is either less expensive or won't hit me for each one?
