Price Drop:
45acp --- $350 -
I will chime and and say...
Situation dictates.
I can think of some situations where I would much rather have a laser on my gun. I don't currently have any on any guns but only because at the ranges I may shoot defensively in my home, if they're in the wash from my flashlight, they're targeted. If I had a slightly larger home I would probably have one on my defensive pistol.
For those that claim that lasers are only good for one given range, well, that's any fixed sight system.I shoot competitively with a slide mounted red dot. I love them. And to be honest, it's the only way I can reliably see my sights anymore. They take practice and have a learning curve, but they work very well for their intended purpose.
As per @High Exposure 's recommendation, I agree and would say that you should spend the money for a quality piece of kit. For competitive use, I like the Vortex dots. I have a couple of them and they're great for the money. I also have an SRO and it's heads and shoulders above the Vortex's but it's also quite a bit more money. If I was looking for something for a defensive gun, I'd look at a Trijicon RMR.Good luck.

Thanks.
The dream didn't die. I am taking a breath and looking for space. Paying rent for 7 months took a bit of a financial toll so it may be a longer breath than I'd like. However, I really am looking. I called a realtor that (I'll never understand it) didn't call me back. Needed to light a fire under him. Maybe something will pan out. I also have someone that may be willing to throw a few shekels my way for a part of it. I'm just not sure we're on enough of the same page.
So, we'll see.

You're probably too far from me, but...
IF you find a barrel that is threaded and want the threads cut off and re-crowned, shoot me a PM. I may be able to help.

I'm certainly no expert, but I would think that a 120 would be kinda light for elk.
You may want to look at the 140 class solid copper bullets. Obviously, they're not impossible to put down, but being "overgunned" on an animal that size would be tough. It's all about being as humane as possible, which I am sure you know.

Heh. Far from an expert. With reloading I just follow the recipes.
That said, I've not had issues with lighting off stick or ball powder with standard primers.

All A&D needs to be run out of the FFL which is tied to the space. Think of it as a liquor license. Same concept.

My buddy has one.
It's retarded nice. If you like 1911 style pistols/trigger but want more capacity than a standard 1911 you will not be disappointed. The grip is essentially the same as a 1911 grip when accounting for the grip panels. The triggers are very nice out of the box on these as well. Points really well. All in, it's a great gun.
Which grip did you get with it? There are 2 versions, which is why I ask.
