  1. Thanks guys. I've no problem printing it correctly myself. I'm a graphic designer and operate a printing business. I've never had a passport and wasn't sure if passport photos were made on some sort of magical, government issued material.
  2. Harry - Prints were done at local PD. Dave - It's $7.99 at CVS. What do you mean by "use their self-service and don't specify passport photo?"
  3. There are the instructions for the photo that has to be sent with the application. Can I print one out on my inkjet printer with glossy photo paper or should I go to a place those does passport photos? What did you guys do? I'd hate to have it sent back denied. • Photograph must show the subject in a frontal portrait as shown at left. (NO HATS, NO SUNGLASSES). • Photograph’s outer dimension must be larger than 1-1/4” X 1-3/8”. • Photograph must be in color with a light-colored background. (NO FANCY BACKDROP, LETTERING, ETC.) • Surface of the photograph must be glossy. • Photograph must not be stained, cracked, or mutilated; it must lie flat. • Photographic image must be sharp and correctly exposed. • Photograph must be non-retouched. • Photograph must not be pasted on cards or mounted in any way. • Photograph must be taken within 30 days prior to the date application is submitted. • Snapshots, group pictures, or full-length portraits will not be accepted. • Lightly print your name and date of birth on the back of the photograph. Use crayon or felt-tipped pen to avoid mutilation of the photograph. • Do not cut the photograph. Do not use glue or staples to attach photograph to application. 4. Thanks for posting that video. I ended up finding the 12rd mags in stock at Heritage Guild in Branchburg.
  5. Yeah, ouch is right. I need some other stuff too but it looks like they don't even offer free shipping when you spend a certain amount.
  6. $27.50 But they want $15 to ship 2 of them to NJ.
  7. Thanks Tony. S&W lists the magazines for $32 each. Natchez only has the 10 round version and sells them for $27.49.
  8. Does anyone know where I can purchase these either locally or online? These are S&W # 424130000. Thanks!
  9. App asks for "two reputable persons who are presently acquainted with the applicant, other than relatives." When I picked up the paperwork I was told "not a cop from the town I was at" and "not a relative with the same last name." What exactly are my your references asked? Do you think in-laws are ok?
  10. How many firearm apps are received in an average month? After reading some threads like these it seems it's probably a lot more than I had imagined.
  11. I know, its a stretch, but what if you own any shares of your employer's stock?
  12. Thanks for the info. I didn't know if it was recognized as a handgun if it was not assembled.
  13. I'm a complete noob so please pardon me if this is a dumb question. Can you disassemble the gun and put some parts in the glove box and others in trunk? Then, bring only some parts into work with you? Or Disassemble the gun at home and bring some parts to work on Thursday and leave them there overnight. Then, put the rest of the parts in your truck Friday morning. After work on Friday, leave with the parts that you brought in on Thursday and reassemble the gun when you get to the training class?
  14. Thanks for all the info guys. Got another question....what do you do if you buy a used gun from a private seller?
  15. ShootNJ is one of the companies I'm interested in. Thanks for the info.
  16. I see. I didn't know about OGAM. That sucks but won't affect me at this time. What is the cost of each purchase permit? What is the max amount of guns you purchase per year, with and without the exemption?
  17. I don't think I could afford to buy 6 worthwhile firearms in 6 months. How much does each purchase permit cost?
  18. Aren't the permits only good for 90 days?
  19. Thanks Harry. I'll be checking out all the clubs in the area after I take a course and obtain a permit. Right now I'm just soaking up all the knowledge I can gather on the forums.
  20. Thanks John. Just found the club's website. Sounds like a good deal. I've saved the application and will apply as soon as I can.
  21. Hi. I don't have any firearms yet but I'm trying to learn as much as possible. I'm definitely going to purchase a Ruger 10/22. Not sure which handgun just yet. I have small hands so that will be a major consideration. I'm not in a hurry as I'd like to have some training first. I need to decide which company to go with for courses/training. If anyone can share their experiences with training I'd love to hear it. Thanks!
