  1. WOW, your very unprofessional and arrogant..Thank you. (FWIW, then you know stolen long guns can be placed in the NCIC system as stolen and can be checked if there is a question, you stated that the "IS NO SYSTEM" to check them, when you know that is not true...)
  2. In NJ you have the right to bear arms as long as your not a criminal or psycho and pass a background check proving such, so whats the big deal? Dont commit felony crimes, dont be a bipolar nut job and you can buy as many rifles and shotguns as you want...Would you really feel safe that any idiot with NJ residency could walk into wallmart and buy guns? Have you seen most of the animals in this state??
  3. Sorry, my 15 years of being a cop had me thinking like one...Do an NCIC check comes to mind immediately. Im not aware of what dealers have access to, but Im sure a call to the NJSP would suffice to do an inquiry as to if a gun is stolen or not would not be an issue. But you would know better I assume. I will tell you this however, I dont like your comment towards me having little knowledge and no posts..I was going to purchase a gun from you based on your price quote, but your less than professional post towards me is offensive and just cost you my business pal.
  4. If a gun dealer does not do an NCIC check of the gun he is buying off the street then he is an idiot. The average private sale, you would have no way of knowing, so always ask for the original receipt if they have it.
  5. I can assure you no cop in NJ is wasting their time arresting a lawful gun owner on any of your concerns. They simply just dont have the time, manpower or will to do so. Their hands are full with illegal gun owners in this state. Besides, who can determine what "deviations as are reasonably necessary under the circumstances"???
  6. I just got a great quote from one of them. As soon as Im ready.(meaning as soon as I get my permission slip signed by the wife)
  7. Not true. If the owner knows the serial number of the gun stolen the serial number would get put into the NCIC registry and come back a hit confirmation for a stolen firearm. Same as a car. However if the owner has no proof or knowledge of the serial number then there is no record of it.
  8. I have no problem buying used guns, not a lot of shops deal in them from what I have seen.
  9. I like Caso's but I overpaid for my Glock there, and was never given any discount of any type with anything I purchased there. I understand making a profit, but when I see the same red dot sight in another store for 1/2 of what you charged me, I begin to wonder..
  10. Nope, was not my intention.I was simply asking if it was normal policy for gun shops to not negotiate pricing and why most of them charge above retail for weapons. I was not suggesting buying online, but the 2 occasions i did buy a weapon or accessories in a store I later found out i got slightly overcharged ( other store prices not online). I guess it is my fault for not educating myself prior.
  11. I have not checked that feature yet, how do I go about doing so?
  12. True i rather support my local FFL, but at the same time dont like getting gouged or ripped off...Like when I got my KSG, BA wanted $1500 for one...I got mine for much much less direct from Keltec..That type of stuff is just dumb imho..
  13. Yeah I figured, but I noticed the gun if I am correct was $200 more than list on Rugers site...I would like to order online, but the legalities of what is NJ compliant come into play. I was just wondering what the markup margin was to negotiate with gun shops.
  14. Perhaps the wrong forum for this, but Ill ask anyhow. Why is it that gun shops do not negotiate or discount the pricing on guns at all? i was at SS the other day and looking at a Ruger 556 and the price was $1550 and i asked what is the best price he could do and he pointed at the price and said "that", meaning the $1550. Is that standard policy to not give discounts at all or is there some law that they cant or just their policy in most gun shops. I have seen this in most gun shops i have been to.
  15. Does anyone here belong to Old Bridge pistol and Rifle?? Do you know if you can join any time or only the 2nd Sunday of the month?? Also do they give LE discounts on the membership??
  16. I dont think ammo prices at any range are on point actually. But their shotgun rounds were $2 cheaper than BA and thats for a box of 5... I prefer to buy my ammo in larger stores like Dicks and not at the range where they got you by the balls..Thats like buying accessories at a car dealer ship, the mark up is insane... The guys at BA think they are all special opps seal team 6 members and talk crap about cops I have witnessed it personally, and to me thats a big turn off... I just get a bad, "know it all" vibe from those guys, but hey perhaps its just me. Another thing about BA their website advertises discounts for LE and I received no such thing.
  17. I can see that being an issue. My thing is, I have been shooting right handed guns for so long, I never gave it much thought until I realized that a few companies make a left handed AR. My initial thought was, "cool the rounds eject from the opposite side" and I never really gave much though to the magazine release issue and safety switch as i have gotten so used to simply utilizing my right hand to do both as i hold the grip with my left. Probably not the "proper" way to do it but it has been working for me thus far. But Im not sure if it would be easier for me with a left handed rifle or if i would feel awkward using one. The problem is, there are not to many people who own a left handed rifle for me to even try using one...
  18. And Im a big guy...The gun is just BRUTAL!!!
  19. Yes, this is what I was thinking also..Why pay extra for a left handed rifle if Im used to using right handed rifles..
  20. Yes I was going to go with the upgrade package. If you in NJ they just ship you 15 round mags instead of 30?
  21. I stopped in Shore Shot the other day and everyone seems very cool there. The guys a Brick Armory seem a little full of themselves and their prices are a little on the high side for guns and ammo.
  22. I am a left handed shooter, but have shot right handed rifles from a left handed stance and all my life without issue and was wondering if there was any benefit in going with a left handed AR like a Stag Arms 2LT or do you think the transition over would be awkward, since Im used to working all the safety and slide releases with my right hand already...Also Is the Stag arms 2LT a decent AR to buy?
  23. I got a little chuckle when I read the part about a "grenade launcher".....hahahah..
