Those are pretty neat. Out of curiosity, how long ago was it the msrp on them was $6.75? They must be at least 20-30 years old I am guessing.
Also, as 9x19 said, there must be a zippo or lighter forum that can help you out with valuation.

I think the biggest keyword in that album is 'Dreams' lol. I'm not really in a place in my life where getting a new car is a priority, but I enjoy following the new releases from manufacturers and seeing all the new technology that comes out. I had the new 9-5 on my shortlist, but with Saab's death being final and no warranties or viable spare part supplies being an issue, I'd probably look elsewhere. It's a shame because I think it's one of the best looking cars on earth. I've had the pleasure to see a few in person and I love 'em.
On the note of the Fenix TK22, I ran it in a low-light IDPA match earlier in January and had it fail a few times. I'm not entirely sure what the cause was, and I'm going to try a few things and see if I can eliminate the problem. I'm inclined to believe that, under the recoil, the bezel was unscrewing itself just enough to temporarily break the battery contact. I'm going to try to loctite it. Worse case scenario, I grab a Surefire for a weapon light and keep the TK22 as a general use uber-light. In all other aspects, it's a great light.
good point on the replacement part note...
as far as the flashlight, i wouldn't be mounting it on my firearm, would just be using it as a daily carry light. i am sure it will be fine for that. i have either streamlight's or surefire's on my firearms.
did you buy one of the contego's? the spec's are good and i found one place that has them for $135, which seems like a steal.

thanks for yet another post on this board that makes me spend money...
just kidding, thanks for the post
picking up one of the benchmade contego's and the fenix tk22
also, did you see the articles some time ago about the saab sedan's sitting in the newark terminals stuck in limbo? there were about 1000 of them lined up in a warehouse just sitting there unable to be delivered.
i looked a little further and for a while you could get those 9-5 sedans for about 1/2 of msrp. havent looked in a few months, but if you are in the market for a car you might be able to snag a 60k sedan for around 30-35k.

Don't cancel, everyone is running at 120% right now trying to keep up with the demand. MI is a good vendor, I have several of their products and have dealt with them for the last 2-2½ years. I ordered a barrel from PSA on Jan 2. They say ship in 15 business days, I haven't heard anything yet but I'm not going to be an asshat and bust their chops when they are working their asses off to meet the demand.
PSA seems to be right on schedule with the 3 week shipping delay. I got my order almost exactly 3 weeks after placing it, and 2 friends did as well.
I am not going to cancel my order, probably wouldn't have even if I didn't make this thread.
I was just aggravated that they would hold an order over 1 piece that represented a small fraction of the order.

Ok, knowing that others have had good experiences will help me give them the benefit of the doubt. I was just a little peeved when I got the email this morning (from a real person with a specific email address, not a generic customer service address), emailed them back right after, and then never heard a response.
I supposed this was more of a rant than anything else...

Last week I placed a decent sized order with them for a rail system and a bunch of accessories. I think that I ordered about 6 different items, with multiples ordered of 4 of those 6. The order came to a few hundred dollars.
It said on their website to expect delays of up to 5 days for orders to be processed. No problem, everyone is going crazy right now with the current climate. I waited the 5 days, then forgot to follow up with them for another 3 days. Today I was planning on calling them, but I got an email stating that one of the items was out of stock, and they would process the order when it came back in (there was not a definite date given). The ONE item that was OOS was a sling mount, and accounted for a small portion of the order.
I emailed back to ask if they could process the order without that item and ship the mount at a later date, but did not get a response. I then called their customer service line and it said they are not taking phone calls please email them.
Have any of you ever had issues with this place? From my understanding they were supposed to be pretty decent.
Contemplating just cancelling the order and buying everything from Troy, who has provided me excellent service in the past.

when i was doing my first ar build (in mid '12) i looked through all of the wts forums on that site and came our with darn near exactly everything i wanted for almost half the cost of buying it new.
wound up with a complete noveske upper, noveske lower, spikes enhanced lpk, and an ace stock for less than $1300

i picked up 2k rds of this during the original time frame (end of nov). crazy how much pricing has gone up in just 2 months. guess im glad i got it when i did, wish i would have gotten enough to last a year until this craziness dies down though.

I think I've actually had this nightmare before
P.S. I just got a 40 lb package from SG ammo without any ORM-D markings and a single blank 2.25" DOT label affixed:
Weird!
got 2 this week from sg and they both had the propper orm-d markings on them
-
i have worried about this in the past enough that I have since re routed all of my packages to my business address where I know someone will be during ups/usps/fedex delivering hours.
they will absolutely drop orm-d packages off on the doorstep with no signature. i live in a condo complex and was not at all comfortable with this.
contact ups and submit an inquiry. i can guarantee you that will be easier than dealing with psa.

Man i want a p30l so bad. Might be my second purchase when these permits come back.
-
I drive a hatchback and i normally put the handguns and rifles unloaded in the back in unlocked soft cases or their factory plastic cases.
I put the mags and ammo in ammo cans and put them in the back seat so that they are seperated from the firearms.
-
Ive bought mags from mike @ mtn before and he is a great guy. His website doesnt have a real time stock system so just bc it says they are in stock doesnt mean they actually are. Last time I spoke with him he was unable to even update the site.

What was the last normal price per 1000 rounds of say PMC ?Paid 200/case for aguila brass from them 3 weeks ago.

glock 19 is most likely my next purchase, but it will immediately be sent out for a trigger job as i do not like the stock triggers. i sent about 150 rds down range last month with a friends and was not impressed by that portion of it at all. The main reason for this purchase is I have a kel tec that takes the g19 mags and I want to become proficient with that pistol as a result.
I prefer my m&p9c trigger by far, but to each their own. If you haven't shot one I would recommend it. I would also look into the fnx 9 as another option in the $600 range.
If you are going to reach into the $900 range for the Sig my recommendation hands down would be the HK P30, which is also on my list for this year. The ergonomics are great and the pistol gets great reviews.

Yes, I've had the same great service from SG, they just shipped a case of .45 to me. Just last weekend however, they took an order for a case of Ameican Eagle .308 and I got an email saying it was no longer in stock. Same thing happened at Natchez last week, that's why I ordered from SG. I'm just wondering where all the .308 is. I'm finding almost everything else.
I gotta cut back on range time, ammo is getting tough on the wallet.
Sorry to hear that, hope you find it sooner rather than later. Glad I didn't make a recent .308 purchase lol.
-
i would be in for either a 1/2 or full case at $330 as long as their shipping isnt crazy. let me know...
-
Hello from Ocean County! (TR) I have been just keeping my pistol in my nightstand at night then locking it in the safe in the morning. These options could be much more convenient.
No kids btw.
