  1. If range 14 won't let you let me know and we can go to cjrpc and set them up in the pits and shoot them

I will def let you know. I went to cjrpc a couple weeks ago with one of my friends and really liked the place. I am going to try to go to the Jan meeting and become a member.

  2. I bet you can ask the RO and they would be interested in your experiment too.

Anyway, there are different brands of aramids (Kevlar, Technora, Twaron, etc.) and those manufacturers recommend that you keep salt and especially UV away from them. UV degrades Kevlar; a brilliant gold colored Kevlar sail turns paper bag brown after 5-6 seasons. I think a fresh water bath wouldn't do anything to aramids. I mean, there are plenty of sailboat running rigging with aramid cores and polyester sheaths.

Next time I head to the range I will bring one with me and see what the RO says. They were submerged in muddy sea water for probably about 2 days so this will be an interesting test. I will take pics when I go.

  3. Thanks for all of the input guys. We sold them basically as a novelty, and had anyone who purchased sign a waiver releasing us from any responsibility. 2 of them are pretty nasty and covered in mud. I think i will take one to the range to test it out. Anyone know if range 14 allows you to bring stuff like this to shoot at? I only ever bring paper or clay pigeons.

  4. Im still going thru items from the store that got wet in the flood, and we have a few level III soft armor vests that got wet (but are now dry). They are the type that the military used to use that we bought off of contractors. Anybody know if they are worth cleaning and keeping, or if kevlar is useless after it gets wet?

They are intercptor vests for anyone familiar with the style.

  5. Hey Everyone,

I've been trying to search down any NJ legal magazines to purchase for my new M&P15T... But it's been hard to even find 10rd mags.

So I thought I would post this link to some I've found in stock. Last I checked, they only had about 17 left in stock and going very fast.

If you know of any other shops that have any mags in stock... please post.

Were you able to order them? If you still cant get them I have 1 steel arms and ammo 15 rounder that i dont really use. It has maybe 4 mags worth of ammo thru it. If ya need an extra i will sell it for the $21 i paid for it. Located in toms river.

No one should have a new rifle and no mags to shoot it with, especially on christmas!

  6. Sold it, wasn't southpaw friendly. And it didn't like aluminum or steel-cased ammo.

I have the 9mm version and I haven't tried anything but brass, but I can tell you it doesn't like 115gr rds, I need to run 124gr rds to not have stove piping issues. I also bought mine used on a whim for a very cheap price, thinking it would be a good shtf gun (fold it up in a backpack and go). It needs to prove itself quite a bit more for me before I can trust it in any situation...

  7. People hook these guns up big time. There is so much that can be done. Here is a pic I took from another forum. Wish I could find one in a 9mm.

jesus...why bother buying a compact folding rifle if you are going to do that to it...

  8. Met with lunker this evening to pick up a pistol that I had agreed to purchase some time ago. He was kind enough to hold it for me for over a month until I was able to use this permit.

Communication throughout the transaction was great, and the pistol was exactly as described.

    Can't wait to shoot it!

    Thanks again lunker!

  9. Met up with Yota this morning to sell 2 cans of bore cleaner. He was nice enough to meet me earlier than we had agreed upon, and everything went very smoothly.

Happy Holidays to you and your family as well!
