Good luck, I don't know the process for Howell. Now what kind of scatter gun are you thinking about!

Keep calling, be professional, polite and always ask what the next step is and is there anything else you can do. That is what I have been doing with the NJSP for the last 11 weeks.
-
The last 2 new DLs I renewed they did punch a hole in, but when I changed my address all I got was a sticker for the back of the existing license.

Technically you can't purchase ammunition that can be used in a handgun without the FID, but you can still purchase shotgun and rifle ammo.
You should still be able to purchase handgun ammo because most places only look at FID and not DL, at least that has been my expereince.

I am currently in the process of doing a change of address through the NJSP, since I don't have a local PD. Submitted my paperwork along with the $18 money order on 12/18/12 and still waiting. 75 days so far- not that I am counting or anything.

I reached a milestone in my wait for a FID- 75 days and counting!

Saw that a few weeks ago, loved it!

Great job, glad I joined NJ2AS as well!

I would call. I am now calling the NJSP once every 2 weeks just to make sure there is nothing on my end that I have to do, but I am also asking them why it is taking longer than expected and when I can expect it to be complete.
Just be polite and profesional.

At 71 days and counting for a change of address. Called the NJSP yesterday and they told me that the typical time to issue a FID, whether a new applicant or a change of address is 60 to 90 days.

We need to let him and Sweeney know how we feel and how all of our friend who shoot or are pro-2A feel. And that we will not support them, or provide any campaign $$$ if they do not kill these bills!
-
Good to hear something encouraging for a change, let's keep our fingers crossed!
-
Maybe... because the process is taking so long (as in many months) they just need to verify if anything has changed? A lot can change in 6 or 7 or 8 months...just saying

10 weeks and counting for me, I hope it is only 2 weeks or so longer! My friend and his wife put in for P2Ps 14 weeks ago and still nothing.

I want to move to Alaska!

Welcome- and don't give up calling, writing & faxing. It is obvious the democratic party has their marching orders, we just need to hold them accountable!

Welcome from a former Morris county resident!

10 weeks and counting for a change of address only on my FID
-
Woodbine, but I got this info direct from the firearms unit in Trenton.
Thanks, I will make another call this week to the Hamilton station and see if there has been any movement lately.

Everyone who is aplying for these permits needs to fight with us. People need to know the facts and be informed. Then they need to reach out to out to their local politicians and let them know how they feel.
-
Thanks for the update, Can you tell us which NJSP station you are dealing with? I am in a similar situation, going on 3 months for a change of address on my FID.

I noticed it as well, over in Millstone. Probably from McGuire/Ft Dix.

Done and I got the same liberal petitions!

Maybe they should interview Ted Nugent?
