the front bank may not be too overly hard, but the rear bank will be. it's something you'd probably be thenkful for having left to your mechanic.

you won't be able to use your feeler gauge from your old hotrod. you'll probably also need an angled set of feelers. i've not done a v6 honda, but i needed 2 sets to do the 4bangers.

yea. almost all hondas call for valve adjustment at some point, per the periodic maintenance schedule.

so now all that said, what makes you think you need a valve adjustment? 'cause if i gotta be honest, although nearly every honda engine calls for it, i haven't touched the valve adjustment on a honda in 20 years.

The engine has 220K on it, and you can hear a definite valve tap.  With my limited experience, it sure sounds like there is too much valve lash somewhere.

Don't know your skills so I don't know if you can do it or not . . . But, if you type "2011 honda pilot valve adjustment" into your favorite search engine you will find some videos that show you what you need to do and you can decide for yourself.

    Let us know!

Good point. I think my skills should be fine, the actual valve adjustment isn't the hard part, taking everything apart to get there is more of the issue.

  3. I just want to report back that Tanners is definitely open for business.  They are limiting the number of people allowed in at one time, they had a nice lady at the front door that was politely asking what you were there for, this way they could help you out as you entered the store.  They also provided hand sanitizer as you entered.

They did have plenty of 12 and 20 ga target bird shot shells, as well as clay targets.  Not much in terms of other ammo.

Scope you linked has mildots but uses MOA adjustments, that alone would annoy me.

At that price point, the Vortex Diamondback 6-24x50 is very popular, as is the Athlon Argos BTR Gen2 6-24x50 or even 8-34x56 (the latter I hear isn't great at 34x, but ~30x is better).  Only thing I dunno about is how big a factor weight is.  My precision rifles will never be used for hunting, only bench shooting, and weight is not a concern.

I have an older Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40 on my .17, and I would like some more zoom, and I would move to FFP MRAD as I upgrade all my optics.  I've currently got three SWFA 16x42 fixed MRAD scopes, which I've been happy with, but I do still want more magnification.  I've been researching scopes for my Anschutz and some other rifles, I'll add my list (everything listed is the MIL/MRAD version however.)

Pricing below is typical street prices I've found, you can probably find em a bit cheaper if you look.

    Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 30mm EBR7C MRAD FFP PST5259 $999.99

    Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 34mm EBR7C MRAD FFP SE-52504 $699.99

    Athlon Ares BTR Gen2 4.5-27x50 30mm APRS5 MIL FFP 212010 $849.99

    Athlon Midas TAC 5-25x56 34mm APRS3 MIL FFP 213081 $849.99

    Athlon Midas TAC 6-24x50 30mm APRS3 MIL FFP 213077 $669.99
    Sig Sauer Tango4 6-24x50 30mm MRAD FFP SOT46112 $699.99
    Athlon Midas TAC 6-24x50 30mm APRS2 MIL FFP 213075 $629.99

Athlon Helos BTR 8-34×56 APMR FFP IR MIL SKU#:214112 $600
Athlon Helos BTR 6-24×50 APMR FFP IR MIL SKU#:214107 $549
    Vortex Diamondback 6-24x50 MRAD SKU DBK-10029 $400
Athlon Argos BTR GEN2 8-34×56 APMR FFP IR MIL SKU#:214068 $429
Athlon Argos BTR GEN2 6-24×50 APMR FFP IR MIL SKU#:214063 $400
    SWFA 16x Stock# SS16X42MQ or 20x SS20X42MQ MIL-QUAD $300

Wow- great list, thanks for sharing, I will take a look at these.

Good point about the mill dots/ MOA combo, I have another scope with that combo and it definitely took some getting used to.  I typically don't use my scope to estimate distance, I know I probably should, and I use software to get holdover estimates, which I then verify based on the load, but I agree, I was taught everything in mills, then for some reason started using MOA over the last few years.

  5. Looking to upgrade my .17 HMR scope.  I currently have a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 4-12 x 40, which works well for the most part, but I have recently started shooting out to 300 yards and I feel like I need more magnification, and probably a better quality scope.

    I am shooting a Tikka T1.

Thinking about getting a Vortex Viper- 6.5 X 20, anyone have any thoughts, is there something else I should consider?

Suspected suicide but could have been a domestic dispute.  Supposedly took place inside a home there.  Doesn’t appear to have been random street crime.

This is what I heard as well, a woman committed suicide in her home.

We have a Peloton and love it . . . My girlfriend is on it seven days a week and does weight and yoga and other workouts on the app which she is at the office gym.

I'm a former road racing cyclist and this is a great bike.  The price didn't scare me because there are $10K racing bikes!  The built is rock solid.  I would like to have some for/aft adjustability on the handle bars because of my long upper body but it still fits well.  The instructors are very good and include some current and former professional cyclists but YOU still control just how hard YOUR workout is.

We financed ours at $60/mo for three years.  The subscription is $40/mo.

    Thanks!

  8. Still no idea what happened, heard form friends that live in the area that there were definitely gunshots, or loud noises that sounded like gun shots, there were at least 7 NJSP units that showed up along with an ambulance.

Should hear something through the grapevine at some point.

  9. My wife wants an exercise bike for Christmas, she mentioned two, a Peloton and Nordic Track.  Does anyone have any experience with either?  Or are there others you would recommend?  Also where can you buy them, I don't want to support Dicks!

Thanks, any info you would be welcomed since I don't know anything about them.
