  1. my problem with aluminum cases is that if you drop it even once...
  2. Noticed it, I'm no collegiate genius, and didn't fix it. Besides, once used in a quote, cannot be fixed. Yes, I used a lot of comas and run-ons. I'm capable, but lazy.
  3. and someone read this and see if they're getting what I'm getting out of it? http://www.policechiefmagazine.org/magazine/index.cfm?fuseaction=display_arch&article_id=1172&issue_id=52007
  4. I called someone an asshole over a discussion over why a dog was shot without any de-escalative steps by police officer. If calling someone that was wrong I get, but I'm fine with that as long as I had the right to express my displeasure with the person(s) and officers. Don't I?
  5. I have one so far and if that's what it takes and infringe the 1st right, so be it. Create new accounts. Yes, plural. Then mask ip. J.I.C. but for now, I'll side with you. FYI http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_v._District_of_Columbia
  6. Is Herter or PPU any good? Cabelas has them at around $16/box http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/handgun-ammunition/_/N-1100189/Ns-CATEGORY_SEQ_104372280?WTz_l=SBC%3BBRprd734598%3Bcat104691780 American Eagle is $10/box http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Ammunition/Rifle-Ammunition%7C/pc/104792580/c/104691780/sc/104532480/American-Eagle174-Rifle-Ammunition/734598.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Frifle-ammunition%2F_%2FN-1100190%2FNe-635%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104532480%3FWTz_l%3DUnknown%253Bcat104792580%253Bcat104691780%26WTz_srn%3DBy%2BCaliber%26WTz_st%3DGuidedNav%26WTz_stype%3DGNU&WTz_l=Unknown%3Bcat104792580%3Bcat104691780%3Bcat104532480 Also, is freedom munitions any good? They also do credits for brass. http://www.freedommunitions.com/9mm-115-gr-RN-New-p/fm9r115n-b0500.htm Or 9mmammo.com
  7. Fair assessment. I would not have been as impartial. I would have mentioned how many people died or almost died because of IOS etc.
  8. If you upgraded this past 3 months, your plan changes to unlimited everything (except tethering) unless you choose to be grandfathered in on your old plan.
  9. most i've used on heavy month is about 27GB. my average is 6-12gb/month
  10. Tethering is the ability to use your phone as a router and share the data you're paying for with a tablet/laptop or 4. of course, most carriers want you to pay again for that feature. "Blowing through data" is dependent solely on your uses and setups. naturally, smart phones (and iphones) do this all the time but in small negligible quantities. Youtube, downloads, streaming (podcasts, music, netflix etc) is normally the data hogs. texts use your data connection but are not considered as data by your carrier. they just count them individually as sent or received.
  11. http://www.amctheatres.com/movie-theatres/amc-loews-freehold-metroplex-14 as stated, white house down is free to military personnel and veterans. just go to the AMC in freehold and show ID. i am not aware of other AMC theaters, but is you are a stubs member look into local theaters to you. also, apparently there are military pricing after 4pm as well, again, I HAVE NOT VERIFIED ANY THEATERS OTHER THAN FREEHOLD AMC.
  12. it may be. I have tmobile unlimited. No tether, but the give me like 500mb free. Still haven't "used their allotment" as far as they're concerned.
  13. using the stock tether app runs a check to see which plan you hav the app I use bypasses the check.
  14. S4. Happy. not tied to any i-tunes like service or "eco system" i can choose which browser, open multiple windows, play damn near any video file i want, tether for free without having to root, etc.
  15. I am military, an Infantryman to be specific. I have also done Military police duties (to include getting tased and sprayed as part of the trainup and how to take down and cuff someone even with OC Spray on my face). I have been taught the Rules of engagement and rules for the use of force for my last two overseas deployment. I know that i should use the minimum force necessary to accomplish the mission, de-escalate if possible and that i can use deadly force when all other options have been exhausted. Now it is incredibly difficult for me to believe that cops aren't trained in use of force. When you saw the video, did you see ANY de-escalation? Any non lethal use of force? If the service pistol is the minimum force necessary to quell the dog or the owner begging not to have his dog shot then we are in severe severe trouble once that "RUF" spreads. now to answer your question, no, i prefer to keep all body parts firmly attached to my body. If someone invades a person's or animal's personal space, expect a warning. the question here is did the cop use the minimum force needed? EVERY PERSON OR ANIMAL GIVES CUES THAT THEIR COMFORT LEVEL HAS BEEN DISRUPTED. Dogs do it, snakes do it, cats do it, spiders, scorpions, racoons, bears, even humans do it. Now, I don't expect everyone to understand it because not everyone is a dog person or an animal lover or even realize the service they do even as companions to cops and blind people. but hey, this IS A GUN FORUM after all. and JACKDAWACK, the owner did tell the dog to stop and some jackass reached for his collar. as for reaching in the car to raise windows, tell that to the cops that have shot people for reaching for their wallets or the requested documents. Peace. I'm done with this topic here. Unfollowed.
  16. very astute observation. well versed. 100% in agreement. Also note that as previously stated and or hinted at, the shooter has a history of violence and abuse of power. last time it happened, it costed the city $1 million just to settle it and keep it out of court. as per the city of Hawthorne, if noise was the concern, a fine was to be imposed if that was the excuse prior to the shooting. (http://qcode.us/codes/hawthorne/view.php?topic=9-iv-9_35&showAll=1&frames=on) the shooting itself was excessive use of force. no rules of engagement/use of force were followed. life was not in danger with 2 of ~12 other officers in immediate vicinity. limb perhaps, life? no. Now, in an attempt to not continue to sound like Keyboard Commando, my argument stops here.
  17. Most dogs have enough sense to not jump out of a moving vehicle. I'm betting he didn't notice they're were still down when he stopped.
  18. I think that before the next "forum lawyer" opens his mouth and removes all doubt, so to speak, should look into the shooters history, the departments history and the dog owners history... The shooter had been in hot water multiple times for police brutality, the department had shelled out nearly 5 million in settlements in the past few years, (some of which, same cop was involved) and while the dog owner is no Angel, the dog didn't have to pay for it. Also, said lawyers, would you please explain to those of us not versed in your legal forte as to what exactly did the dog owner do wrong. Damn keyboard commandos.
